And Nigerians still idolize this same UK when it's clear they are Nigeria's no.1 enemy. Other major European countries Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium mean better for Nigerians than the UK. |

Inter Miami owner Jorge Mas has revealed more details on Lionel Messi's impending contract at the club, including how much the Argentine forward will earn. The 36-year-old is set to move to Major League Soccer on a free transfer after his contract at Paris Saint-Germain expired last week. Mas revealed to Spanish newspaper El Pais that Messi will earn between $50-$60m a year at Miami, a club co-founded by David Beckham, which was in fact "less than what was offered by Saudi Arabia." Messi will also have shares in Inter Miami when he retires, and will also recoup a cut of the MLS's global rights broadcasted on Apple TV and of Inter's adidas kit. Mas said: "I spent three years [working on the deal]. A year and a half very intensely, many conversations with his father Jorge. I got it done at the end of May. "David talkedwith Leo, Only about soccer issues, because he was playing. I didn't want him to feel pressured. "We've talked in Barcelona, Miami, Rosario, Doha... I spent the entire World Cup in Qatar, watching Argentina. "The Apple contract was veryimportant to close it. Conversations withAppleare going very well and interests are aligning. "If soccer grows in the United States, he will benefit." |
Sizwezi:Very greedy lots. The FAs are even saying they won't be paying players any more bonus to add to the FIFA bonus. One of the reasons South Africa women team called up 13 year old to play friendly against Botswana. End up losing 5-0 |
FIFA has announced that each player participating in the group stage of the 2023 World Cup will receive $30,000 (£24,000), with that figure rising throughout the tournament to $270,000 (£213,000) for the eventual winners. The overall pot of money available to each governing body has, however, risen from $30m (£24m) to $110m (£87m). |

It's most times obvious that some people are nature born pessimists but it's very encouraging to try put in some candid efforts so it becomes the other way around. Negativity and the likes can hinder or at the very least limit ones chances of being happy and moreover achieving anything meaningful in life. So while some people may start thinking what are those negative feelings that seem to affect ones lives, here are 7 kinds of negativity in their various degrees and how they tend to affect the person in question. 1. PERFECTIONISM Trying to achieve something that's literally unattainable will only result in you feeling "less than". 2. JUDGEMENT OVER YOURSELF AND OTHERS When you are judgemental, you are only focusing on the negative qualities in yourself and others. 3. SELF-DOUBT Self-doubt is a weed that will take over your life if you don't kill it at the root. 4. ASSUMING THE WORST WILL HAPPEN If you never think things will be better, they won't be. This removes hope. 5. WORRY Worrying changes nothing except your health and mental state. 6. COMPLAINING When you focus on the negative things, you are really setting yourself up for never being content or happy. 7. TRYING TO CONTROL EVERYTHING You can't control everything and when you try and inevitably fail, you will only blame yourself. You can do well to add yours |

The Red Devils risk falling behind their rivals this summer after failing to sign or sell a single player while the takeover saga rumbles on It feels as if the season only ended yesterday, but Manchester United players are due back at work next Monday to begin getting in shape for the next campaign. The players who did not take part in any international matches after the FA Cup final defeat to Manchester City - including Lisandro Martinez and Donny van de Beek - will be the first to report back at Carrington on July 3, while those who did play for their national teams will return from July 10. Then the serious work begins: the first pre-season friendly against Leeds United on July 12 in Oslo followed by a fixture against Lyon in Glasgow on July 19. The club will then embark on an exhausting tour of the United States to face Arsenal, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Wrexham, before a final tune-up game against Athletic Club in Dublin one week before the Premier League season starts. The returning players will be placed on a ruthless training regime to get back in shape for the campaign. But while Erik ten Hag's men are subjected to a military-style programme, from the outside the club resembles an unorganised mess. There is little sign of progress on transfers and even fewer prospects of enacting the player clearout that is needed to build on the progress made last season. And in the background, there is still no indication of who will own the club in the long term. Pre-season is usually associated with hope and excitement, but at United, not for the first time, there is a feeling of trepidation and unease.

Bayern Munich have turned to Napoi star Victor Osimhen after putting talks with Harry Kane on hold. Tottenham have rejected a €70m offer for the England international, demanding €90m, so Bayern Munich have put talks on hold and consider making an offer for Osimhen. Thursday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (page 14) claims the Bavarians are unwilling to match Napoli‘s €180m asking price but will offer more than €100m. Bayern would rather pay this fee for a 24-year-old striker than €90m for Kane, who will turn 30 on July 28. Talks between the club and the player’s entourage have already begun. It remains to be seen if it will be enough for Napoli, who have reportedly rejected a €100m offer from PSG. Liverpool are also interested in Osimhen. If the Nigeria international joins Bayern, he will reunite with Napoli defender Kim who has agreed to personal terms with the Bundesliga giants ahead of a transfer worth more than €50m.

Guinness World Records made the biggest mistake of their existence by reminding Nigerians that they exist, and now, Nigerians are taking up the challenge to make or break those records for leisure. Someone from cross river state again, John Obot , is about to make (or break) the record for the longest time a person ever read aloud. He will be reading 25 novels for 145 hours. Do you even realize that we're Nigerians? The volume of books we read just to make it through Secondary and tertiary education, the average person overseas hasn't read in their lifetime. No exaggeration. GWR is not ready for what's coming. Nigerians alone will own an entire section of your website in just one year. You're playing with people that casually endanger their lives every day just for the fun of it: We climb roofs without cables; we board and alight from moving vehicles every day (even our kids can do this); we remove items from the fire with our bare hands; we sit in one spot and down 3 crates of beer between 4 people; to peel off electrical wiring, we literally chew the wire open; our kids make local fireworks that go off so loudly, it could be mistaken for teπorist attacks overseas; we weed 15 acres of farmland manually without gloves; to siphon fuel into our car or generator tanks, we draw it first into our mouth, ingest a bit to check if it's unleaded petrol, then we let the pipe continue; some of us have carried the malaria parasite in our bodies for so long, we should now be donating blood samples to the United Nations to test us for immortality. At a point, when the parasite doesn't see any drugs forthcoming, it just hisses and leaves on its own; to know if rechargeable batteries are still good to use, guess what we do? WE LICK THEM!!! Yes, we taste the charges! That's the nation you're playing with. Just wait... We're coming.
