Good game. Impressed by Ethan in particular. Make Cali no become new last man abeg o. Solid game from him too. He and Ben White will so rattle defenses during Cks ehn I really hope to see any of our defenders getting up to a dozen goals next season. And also, i want to see goals from the Sanchez spot outside the box. Can also call it the Henry spot. Nelli and Trossard abeg no forget. We need l2 and r2 goals. Ethan behind Nelli would be such a joy to see in-season. |

Deltamani: I just want to see JOE play behind the strikers close to the Box, that’s where she would be able to get her goals, She’s a Jude Bellingham female version..!
PSG can’t just send 2 tops players plus 50k Euros to Juventus and bring Joe to come seat on the bench or play her out of position..!
Toni Payne, JOE and this Celine Ottah can fight for that AM spot.. Who no level up make she sit down bench. Jude or a Palmer/Eze or if you can, a sort of Olmo. She'll need to improve on her 25yards shooting anyways. But that move between her and Christy for our lone goal is proof that both need to solidify playing together like some Modric/Krooos. |

Deltamani: Haven’t seen any Better Fullbacks yet..! We’re still lacking in that Position Home & Abroad. I foresee a game where we go use 3 at the back till we find them. All i see is lacklustre from both sides and extremely terrible tracking since the WWC. They got punished for it at this Olympics finally, despite all that defending. |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 11:08pm On Aug 08, 2024 |
Deltamani: The moment I watched her games I just saw Tabitha Chawinga in her, the way she runs, Finnish and also bulldoze her way through defenders.. Like she’s good to go! Like she shares a lot of traits with the senior Chawinga..
Since she was playing in Turkey League🇹🇷 o didn’t bother looking her way as we don’t rate the Turkish league among the elites…!
Then seeing her with PSG training i was forced to ask my friend Karl who’s in Charge of the WOSO women’s football platform how PSG was able to scout her from a lower league like Turkey.. He then made mention of Blessing Nkor and the Haiti youngster Etienne that PSG want to build a Young team that their scouts have chosen to go for unknown names..
Anyway I’m still waiting for PSG to sign at least one big name on the wing cause Katoto is the only top one there, Lieke Martens on the decline, the new Dutch girl they signed is a typical no.9 and will struggle if they push her to the flanks.. Maybe they plan on playing Echegini on the left wing which i don’t really fancy. Imagine one day Blessing in front on JOE in Falcons games. A kind of Lookman/Osimhen replica. |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 11:07pm On Aug 08, 2024 |
Deltamani: You should also know that playing regularly for PSG will give her an automatic call up to the SuperFalcons and she’s also very young… She will be 21yrs by October.
I’m happy she uses both feet’s effectively and plays on both flanks.. Her Strength and relentless speed will definitely sell her out, if PSG are lucky she might turn out to be the actual replacement for Tabitha Chawinga.
1️⃣1️⃣B Nkor— 9️⃣C Macleans —7️⃣R Ajibade
This is another Imaginary/dream trio, couple with Asisat Oshoala, Esther Okoronkwo and the one or two of the U20 forwards that might spark up at this upcoming World Cup. Where you throw Rinsola go🌚🌚 Lol Let's also be conscious and shout this No more Makeshifting In Falcons henceforth sef. I don taya for that thing. I'm sure you are too. |

Deltamani: Your Favorite player, I didn’t really fancy her at first but when a saw a clip of her game, I had to go watch some of their league games… Man this Babe na Speed house..! She runs like Tabitha Chawinga Na since 2022 wafcon i don dey vex for the lack of speed in our attack overall. That thing dey get on my nerves die. Since that tournament, anything with a display of tortoise dey give me PTSD. It is still unresolved till date and that's what made me want her that early. Na later i even watch Tabitha and saw similarities. Her finishing again. Imagine a combo of her and Macleans upfront or replacing each other in each half.... I can't wait for the emergence of Blessing Nkor. |

BlueRayDick: lolz.
That’s just the wishful opinion of the author of that tweet.
If Arteta wanted to sign a traditional CF like Halaand, he would’ve done that by now and we won’t be having this discussion.
Arteta is more concerned about the shape of his team and their playing style. I doubt he’s willing to buy a traditional CF that will spend most of the game isolated upfront.
The fact that Arsenal scored 91 league goals to city’s 96 last season without having a traditional CF in the right sense of the word makes it obvious that Arteta is not really bothered about goal scoring . He probably believes signing a traditional CF will involve him tinkering with his formation and will most likely affect the entire team’s performance . Lwkm Haven't we passed the 91goals talk by now? |

lovewins: Tobi's no 1 problem is her start. As long as she gets it right she will win, if not then it's Camacho's. My hope is that she medals whatever the medal is. The 1st 30m, yeah. But CQ also has same issues too. Very tiny difference in their starts IMO. Tobi is standing on that podium. |

yinkeys: IOC started Amusan in lane 9 Despite her being ranked very highly At least it’s 100 m and not 200 m God pass them Anything to favour the developed nations Ofili should keep fighting & never give up She’s still 22, unlike Tobi that’s 27 Too many obstacles to overcome if you’re from certain parts of the world I don’t see anybody or any obstacle stopping Amusan from taking home her gold The world record holder has a tough spirit She better grab it this year, time flies & it’d be sad to live in regret Probably the best in athletics Nigeria has produced Her only rival is Camacho-Quinn. And i know Tobi dey vex. She wants this badly. I see no obstacle for Express. She owns the WR and e dey shock everyone say na her do am. Scenes where she breaks the WR and OR in the finals. See those 'politicians' going for photo ops with D'Tigress players in their camp. Smh. Shame on all of them. |

lovewins: I quoted you wrongly. Apologies.
The picture you posted helps establish the point I was making.
The winners of the 3 semifinal heats take lanes 8, 7 and 6 respectively. Those are adjudged to be the best lanes, the best best was what Favour ear placed in and sadly wasn't in her favour. I was wondering too. Doesn't mean they don't have funny tricks up their sleeves sha. I know Gabby is fastest cos she did under 22 twice. But that outside lane? Naaa. Laws of physics dey too. But i hope Favour bounces back like Saka and even better. She needs it. |

How about their two friendlies against Colombia and Mexico as scheduled by NFF? Will it still hold? Omilana still dey? How old is she really? |

yinkeys: This is bad They want the Americans to win It should have been arranged by qualification time Anyways IOC isn’t funded by any single African country so this is their silly game I hope she does the unbelievable and shocks everyone. She should manage her energy much better than the semifinals to win She either got tired or slowed down for Alfred to pass her She should try to beat the games record if she really wants to win Forget about competitors Goodluck Ofili She slowed down but also Alfred is a speedtrain once the tracks are straight. See how she doubled up immediately after the bend? Favour has the advantage over all others at bends(watch the Commonwealth gold relay that was later stripped because of Grace) I believe she will apply it to her advantage sha. All the best to her. |

mostob: Yea... PSG are always at the fore front. First, the Neymar transfer kinda raise the transfer fees beyond standard and now the Mbappe example you mentioned now. Credit to Edu and the club though for the job well done. Nothing like ridiculous salary and this has really helped when it is time to negotiate be contracts with the players.
Another thing is Arsenal don't block any other means the players could earn their own money (aside their wage). Like the image right of the players who are stars. I read that Arsenal give the players the 100% right. That's commendable too. It is commendable. Makes it juicy for players to choose Arsenal too. I hope that PSG cloud passes away. The time is now. |

yinkeys: And she has the 3rd best qualification time Bad if what I'm seeing is correct then this is sabotage. Two brits beside each other Two Americans besides each other All 4 sharing the centre track. Africans on the edge. What sort of arrangement is that? Mtchew. They want it to go to them. Smh. |

yinkeys: Favour Ofili can take home gold if she doesn’t slow down like she did in the semis It was when Alfred ran past her that she realized Run 21 seconds and make your dream come true They've put her in lane 9. Alfred in 8 and Gabby in 7. Why Dem dey do these ladies this way now? Chei. I believe her sha. She must climb that podium. A lot of embarrassing acts from the Ministry and the AFN and NOC that they think is office protocol. Besides, seeing senator tweeting that they just paying training allowance seems good but shows how bereft of happenings all of them are in a whole 2024. If Senator wants to have a good rep, he better doubles up. We need gingered blood in positions like this, no offense to him. Till then sha. Seems any medals hope is 99% from the ladies, especially the Long jump trio |

mostob: Dived? If it is about the wage structure, it is down to the clubs o. This wage stuff can destabilize a team o. And if you offer a player too much wage in his first contract, to negotiate a new one will be hard o. Like see what Bologna and Basel agreed on for Californi-a while we were trying to buy him over. 50%? Then the funny wages structure shows clubs no longer hold firm to sensible negotiations. The Mbappe power play at PSG too that year, etc. Not just destabilize. But set nonsensical precedence. It's hilarious 😂 |

Deltamani: What a game 🔥🔥 Tempers where high France had the game in there hands but Brazil took the chance I guess we've come to that zone that i do reiterate on the Super Eagles thread for approach to a game. Skillful talented team vs Determined and resolute team At the end of the day, the team that buried their chance(s) will be remembered as the better team no matter what anyone says. The Falcons need to arrive at that mental structure where they are so precise with chances, taking every one as though it is the last. Until then. Now nobody cares about France or even Germany of the WWC. |

The way it's been a dark rollercoaster for our athletes.
If the Lessons are learnt (if any are thick enough to enter the skulls of these oldies that head our sport federation) from this our Paris Outing, the most important is funds and adequate standard preparation for the athletes. It's a big shame that two elephants are even fighting over kits. Last outing our guy was talking of washing his lone kit after use as he had no extra. Where's the monies all going too? I dream of a Phoenix rising to cut down these old trees so the flowers can bloom. |
