It depends on the size of the building. And the height you need to cover to be above road level. Projects around there in recent times have been between 6 - 10M depending on the size of the building.

I did also advise you consider a twin duplex if the setting of the land favours it. It will give you more value in the long wrong.

Hit me up if you want to see projects we have handled in the area.

how can i hit you?

Get an Engineer to help you. There has to be an on site assessment of the Land. Also there has to be a structural and architectural drawing. Those are the things that will determine the cost estimate.

Am aware of this, and plan to do so at some point. I just want to get a a figure to work with, so i can prepare myself mentally.

For the Engineers here with experience in raft foundation, what should someone budget in 2022 for the cost of just doing a raft foundation for a duplex and 2 bedrroom. Can it cost up to 20m?

Hi Guy,

Does anyone know much it would cost me to do a raft foundation in a swamp, I just purchased a plot of land in Opic and intend to build a duplex with 2 2bedroom flat on the side. The ground in a swamp you can literally see water on it, but that how most other plot were before construction was done. I was advised all houses in opic are done with raft.

Any advise for cost estimation.

I have a project don't know how you can help with design.

I have been forced to build a 3 storey building due to the location of my plot.

I intended to build 4 ,2 bedroom apartment and a 4 bedroom duplex all in one building.can this be achieved? it will be a 3 storey building with 3, 2 bedroom flats on the left side of the building and the duplex and 2 bedroom on the right side of the building (ground and first floor for duplex and then the third floor for 2 bedroom. Don't knw if this make sense.

I also dont like the conventional roofing with aluminium, i want concerete as i have seen in sample pictures you uploaded.

How can you help.

Properties / How Do I Start My House Project, It Seems Overwhelming by david0007: 8:07pm On Dec 29, 2019
Hello Everyone,

I purchased a plot of land in a good area, 2 years back. The land is about 870sqm. I had to rally round to raise money because I only had half of the cash, I borrowed money from family, friends and office which I was able to payback this year. Other personal issues delayed me from kicking off the project. Now I intend to start but the whole project looks very overwhelming. I made some inquiry from an architect and he told me the from the master plan for the state, the land is situated in a high density area, which means the minimum i can build is a 3 storey building for my building plan to be approved. As I speak I only have 2m in my bank account.

I intend to use this 2m to clear the cashew trees, sink a bore hole, fence the land(even if it is a dwarf fence with gate) and then commence the building plan. I intended to build 4 ,2 bedroom apartment and a 5 bedroom duplex. To the engineers in the house, can this be achieved? it will be a 3 storey building with 3, 2 bedroom flats on the left side of the building and the duplex and 2 bedroom on the right side of the building (ground and first for duplex and then second floor for 2 bedroom. Don't knw if this make sense.

The project seems very overwhelming as I have no experience in construction. To the experienced engineers in the house I have 2 questions

Question 1

Will 2 million naira be sufficient to accomplish the first task? i.e clearing the cashew trees, sinking bore hole, putting a dwarf fence and a gate and then building plan in place

Question 2

how much will constructing the entire building project(carcass) cost, just a rough estimates, I know building cost varies based on material used and finishing. I want to know so I can plan.

Any other general advice will be appreciated.

Am about to get a 1.5hp Ac but not sure of which to pick between the LG dual cool (inverter) and Thermocool Tundra. I don't want Panasonic, cause it consumes electricity. HAs anyone used any of these two products? what is your experience like?

Guys I am thinking of getting a new AC for my house, because of my budget I am considering either getting thermoccol or hisense.
I understand there is a new AC in Nigeria for thermocool, who has heard about the tundra(inverter), I hear they are energy efficient, do they get cool fast, I am considering getting the 1.5 or 2hp for my parlour but I will like to get the experience of people in the house.

Has anyone also used hisense inverter AC.

Technology Market / What Affordable AC And Washing Machine Brand Do You Recommend For Purchase by david0007: 8:28pm On Apr 09, 2019
hi guys, I intend to purchase a 1.5 or 2hp AC for my parlour and a washing machine ( front loader) for my kitchen.

Which products will you recommend and why, I bought a Samsung 1 hp on Jumia ones and regretted it. The AC was cheap 89k.

Because I was waiting to move to a new house I didn't install immediately, when I decided to install I noticed the out unit was stained, like it had been opened before.

After installing I used the AC for about a month and discovered the AC wasn't cooling, I called Samsung the engineer filled the AC with gas, it cooled for a while then stopped cooling again.

The next time I called Samsung I was told I would have to pay 40k to get it fixed, that the ac came with an aluminum condenser and it needed to be changed, I fought screamed, yelled and finally negotiated with Samsung for 25k. The AC works fine, but I think it could be better.

I don't want to make the same mistake again, what ac will you recommend? considering LG or Panasonic, however their cost is scaring me, also I learnt the new inverter technology are not rugged, they spoil before 2 years.

I have no experience when it comes to washing machine.

Someone is lamenting genuinely from his bitter experience as a taxify rider(hustling to make a living), instead of just keeping mute , you shut the guy down saying he is lazy. May you never be in the same situation.

if you are not ready for a debate, then dont comment or call someone lazy. that is rude and very annoying.

it is not every thread you read, you must make comments on.

People read the opinion of other on this page, someone may read through and think your opinion makes sense, where as the reverse is the case. You call the OP lazy, yet you dont say how. You claim to have done investigation yet you dont give any hard evidence.

EgunMogaji:

I have no interest in debating you or going personal. You quoted me.

OP appears to be a lazy person that doesn't want to put the work in that is necessary.

Driving for Taxisfy is not compulsory.

We don't have to agree and I owe you nothing.

Now Foxtrot Oscar.

And what makes you think that I didn’t investigate? How do you know that I don’t drive Taxisfy and for longer than you.

Always try to use your brain before responding to those you differ with. It helps to show that you’re a product of good education.

Go face your lane.

No need to go personal, speak to the matter on ground.
I am genuinely interested in your investigation.

What the average earning for an abuja taxify rider?

The op wrote his observation and you come online giving a contrary view, we want you to state your facts here.

I put it to you the OP is 100 percent correct.

I dont know if some of you are aware taxify reduced their bonus from 1500 to 400. i was mad when i saw it.

complete 3 trips with an acceptance rating of 90 percent and stay online for 2hrs plus.

what is 400 naira abeg, how is 400 naira an incentive? what can 400 naira do to your car or to your life? it can even buy fuel for a trip.

I think it is insulting.

There shouldn't be a promo instead.

Don't mislead the public.

Taxify can't compensate you for picking up riders. For those who don't know Abuja, Mabushi and Wuse are very close and not up to 4 kilometres.

Secondly, OP is not ready to work. How can he say you won't have anyone to pick in Asokoro? Just like in everything, you have to wait for your next trip and Asokoro is one place you won't wait for long before your next ride.

Night driving is a choice which you can take or leave and I must tell you night work pays handsomely.

OP should go back to yahoo yahoo that will give him instant wealth without working. Taxify is for hardworking people and we are making more than the 90k per month promised.

A good car will give you 200k minimum monthly and you don't even have to work too hard.

would you shutup, 200k bawo that is big a lie from the pit of hell.

Taxify is not as profitable as people think, many people just do it to survive. sometimes i drive 5- 6km to pick a rider.

Please dont put mouth in what you dont have full information on, the OP is correct, i however think he needs to still learn some things.

He can combine uber and taxify, so he wont have so much idle time.

Also do you know the harassment taxify/uber drivers face at the abuja airport.

You pick a rider and your car is impounded and you pay 40k to get it released.

is it with the 400 naira daily promo they are doing or what?

I was looking at the promo the guys in lagos are enjoying and am like this is not fare.
