I really want to know if its possible to get a white collar with a masters degree in marketing and data analytics job that pays decently after tax.

Because most of the job people talk about here are physical jobs like plumbing eletricals and the likes i know the pay for these jobs are handsome but i dont know about physical jobs.

So i really wanna know if office jobs are easy to get in the uk with a msc degree.

Online application – 14th/15th June (started around 11:30pm, so finished in the early hours of the next day).
Biometrics (Abuja TLS) – 27th June.
Application transferred to DMC – 27th June.
Application received by DMC – 27th June.
TLS collection mails (I don't know why they sent two, but they did) – 14th July.
Passport (with vignette) collected – 15th July.


Documents submitted/uploaded:
1. Passport data page.
2. Transcript.
3. IELTS test certificate (I could've used my WAEC result, but I had already written IELTS since February last year).
4. Tuberculosis test certificate.
5. My bank statement generated via Zenith Bank's mobile app (no stamp/seal/signature).


Here's me wishing you all good luck in your respective applications. Try to be as honest as possible. Even if you make some mistakes, as far as those mistakes are not grave, UKVI will rightly access you. After all, you're only human – and so are they. Good luck and Godspeed to the rest of you once again.

You're right but the baby isn't going for studies which is why the mother need to use a Nigerian passport and apply for him or her as part of their dependent visa application.

This is what I stated in my initial response to the Mum.

2. I would suggest, getting your third child a Nigerian passport and include him or her as part of your husband's dependent visa - best thing to do IMHO

The final decision lies with you though and not the agent.

@bigtt76, Thank you for sharing the screenshot. It clearly states that people with foreign passports can only enter the UK for tourism or business, it also categorically stated that any other purpose including studying will be refused entry.

I hope this clears up things for Nigerians with dual nationalities.

I am confused oh because my husband,the main applicant for UK student visa, myself and 2 of my children are about to apply for the student tier 4 Visa, we got some advice from the agent that got us admission to the school that we don't need to apply for our 3rd child who was born in the USA and holds a valid US Passport. I also read somewhere that they can enter and stay legally in the UK, but will have to extend or change their visa after that which was what we planned to do. going trough Nairaland posts now backdated to last year 2021. i saw a post of someone asking the same question and at least 2 people said it will be an issue.
please whoever is sure of the proper thing to do please advice me. i am begging for advice please i don't need insults as we learn everyday. God bless you all as we realize our dreams. Amen

I think it's best to err on the side of caution. Apply for your child with the US citizenship via his Nigerian Passport. I have a colleague who has 3 Kids born in the US, he applied using their Nigerian Passports and declared their US citizenship while filling the visa application form. They are all currently in the UK.

Hello Everyone,

Ok, I was the person that asked what the implication of submitting a bank statement of exactly 28days was.I printed from 26th of April to 23rd of May, paid for IHS and ViSA on the same 23rd of May.Some said it was 27days and I was supposed to print on 24th to make it 28day according to the UKVI rule.

Long story short;

I collected my student partner visa yesterday.

Bio 26th May

16th June, Empty NSF

Decision Made 5th July

Moved to Vac 12th July

Received by Vac and collection mail 13 and 14,I received it twice.

Picked up on 14th for myself and daughter.

Extra things I added to my application apart from the basic documents were;

Sworn affidavits of subsisting marriage.

Chats history from 2020 about 5 pages.

Lots of pictures starting from courtship.

.....and ultimately PRAYER.

Also, I didn't touch my pof, used hubby's SOA, same as one submitted when he applied with the same amount that we shouldv had assuming we applied together (he has travelled since Feb).

He has about 2 percent of tuition fee left, we never deducted what he has paid so far or his expenses from the pof. We wanted to since there were proofs but to avoid back n forth with ECO, we didn't.

We were two that had same "27 days" pof issue and the guy with his dependent were also issued their visas.

I found out ECO usually count backwards starting from the 28th day.If this was what worked for both of us, I wouldnt know.

Nigerian Passport since you are both applying from Nigeria. You can however Fill in your spouse’s second nationality in their visa application form.

I believe same applies to children with dual nationalities as well.

I doubt if there is any sure contact now. Because booklets are not available in most states of the nation, without a booklet, the sure contact can't do anything, he can't print on a4 paper.

I am in the same dilemma, my babys International passport is pending. And we need to travel together.

Try Abuja, I know someone that got 10 years passport within 2 days. Also try less populated states. People now travel out of Lagos to other states just for Int Passport.

are the 4 names on your birth certificate? If yes just add it as your supporting documents for the visa. Otherwise, do an affidavit to give you peace of mind.

Do you have your statement of result? if yes, maybe you can send that to the school pending when ASU calls off the strike. It's such a National embarrassment though....6 months and counting.

If anything, this explains why the number of Nigerian UK student applicants has risen. May God help us all!

This is Nigeria, be careful who you release your infor to because once they login, they would have access to your personal information filled on the visa application form.

I live in the UK and I'm very aware that there are bogus agents everywhere.
My Sister wants to do her Masters in the UK but would like to come with her family. She has an HND. Which Unis admit directly to Masters with HND and accepts less deposit? Say 2000 pounds max.
Is Oanda rate accepted for school fees deposit or is it only used for POF?

Type HND for Masters in the search box and you’ll see a lot of information regarding this. Yes Oanda rate is still accepted for POF but ensure you give a wiggle room due to fluctuations. E.g, if the Oanda rate is N500 to £1, you can do your calculations based on N535 to £1 just to be safe.

If you are in Lagos? The easiest way is to go early to the IOM center, inform the security guards and you may do your test same day. Ensure you go along with your documents ( Fees, Passport etc)

My passport will expire on 30th of October and my new passport is not yet ready, can I use the old one and apply for visa.

You have less than 3 months which is quite tight. I believe the rule says you need a minimum of 6 months prior to expiration. Have you done your TB? if not I suggest you do that first with the old passport while you put pressure on your contact helping with your new passport. The hassle though is that you would have to pay extra 8k to IOM for them to change your passport number once the new one is issued.

@ duchess, and other gurus, kindly shed more light on this.

I'm currently at that stage they asked if I have CAS, I wanna know if I can still edit it if I choose no.

Please wait until you get your CAS before filling the form. It makes no difference since you can’t submit anyways if you proceed with a wrong / made up CAS.
