All I know about the transit visa is that it takes 3 weeks. Have you considered other airlines such as Qatar? You don't require a transit visa if you connect from Doha go your destination city in UK.

What other option can I use to pay my IHS and VISA fee with this rising rate of dollar at black market.

It’s a very sad situation which unfortunately may get worse. My sincere advise to you and everyone else is to buy as much dollars as you can now while it’s N650. Also buy enough $$ to cover your ticket and other expenses.

Truly what God cannot do, does not exist! This journey started back in Oct 2021.My MA Applied to a school, was accepted, and UNILAG transcript was sent to them in Feb this year.

In March this year, MA eventually settled for a different school which has better ranking but transcript became an issue due to ASU strike. Eventually, we had to go to the old school to request for the transcript which we then sent to the new school. I must say that God has His ways of doing things because the admission to the new school would never have been possible otherwise.

Couldn’t find the IHS details for one of the children so I cancelled and filled a new application on 19th July. ( the IHS and Visa fees was automatically reversed to my GTB Dom account on 24th of July)

I’m immensely thankful to everyone for your contributions on this page, I learnt a lot and it helped in crossing all the Ts and dotting the Is correctly.

I had days where doubt would overwhelm me but coming here and reading people’s testimonies helped to keep my faith alive.

Do you have her change of name documents? The sworn affidavit, newspaper publications etc? If yes you can add that as part of her supporting document.

From my personal and other people’s experiences gathered here, sending a paid mail with ‘decision made’ status seems to prompt the next steps. I could be wrong but that’s what I’ve observed.

So my advise is that you go ahead and send the paid mail especially if it’s been 3 weeks since you did your biometrics.

Oh okay! The MA received email of collection on Thursday last week. That of the other dependants hasn't come and I cannot go to Abuja just to pick them up one by one. I think this method is cumbersome. We applied together it suppose to be treated together. I wish I can track the status.

Do an affidavit for peace of mind. Also, newspaper publication can be fast tracked. If you start now, both can be out by Tuesday next week. Pay for assisted service and have the documents uploaded during your biometrics (I’m assuming you want to book a date for your biometrics as soon as possible hence the recommendation for assisted service)

It really is your choice. You can write the name of the school, or go ahead and book an Airbnb since you plan on doing that ( check accommodations with Free cancellation on Agoda and Booking.com) . Then you enter the address as your temporary accommodation arrangement.

Please why do you always advice those going for January intake to start applying from September? Does it mean we that applied earlier and have gotten offers already for January,our offers will be canceled and we will start all over around September?

This is because the whole process takes a while. From paying your school fees deposit via form A, to booking an appointment date for TB test, running your POF and also getting a date for biometrics, all of these adds up so the earlier you start the better. If you scroll up on this page, someone who got their Visa yesterday gained admission in January.

Lastly, some schools stop issuing CAS once they’ve received deposit from the number of students they can accommodate for each intake period.

The count is 28 days. Nothing to understand apart from the rules on www.gov.uk
Except you are worried about the weekend not showing up on the statement then thts another angle.

Actually, it’s to ensure the lump sum deposit doesn’t appear on the statement.

Please run it like a normal account. As long as no withdrawal reduces the POF value and try to avoid depositing large sums into the account during the 28 days period.

Not at all. Having more than you need in your account is not an issue.

Make sure you go ahead and provide the evidence of maintenance

You can even include a cover letter to say, that during the application that section wasn't there but you have provided the additional document incase it is needed or a glitch in the system
