toms55: The simple answer is No. you must state your CAS when filling the visa application form. Also if you read through this thread, you’ll see cases where people who paid their application fees prior to POF maturity (28 days) were refused. Though some people have gotten away with this, it’s best to err on the side of caution and wait the number of days as stated by the UKVI 2 Likes |

bikerchiek3: From my personal experience with Stanchart and GTB, the pounds account doesn’t make sense. I deposited ££ into my GBP Stanchart account. The bank converted the pounds in my account to Naira and my GBP transactions were debited at black market rate. I lost so much money. Needless to say I shut down the account. GTB on the other hand does not issue a GBP card for your GBP account, you are expected to conduct your transactions using your USD card which also means you lose money because you are at the mercy of exchange rate between GBP and USD . So I decided to stick to my GTB USD account as my transactions are debited in USD and I’m able to pay for services on most international websites including the UKVI and IHS. Other people can share their experience to enable you make an informed decision. 1 Like |

habhidhemhii: You no longer require the COVId PCR test to enter the UK. And no wait for your POF to mature before applying. Also print it on the 29th day. You can fill the application form on the 29th day as long as all your supporting documents such as CAS and TB cert are ready. Hope this helps and Goodluck! |

Like I said, I was refused on my first visit application because I didn’t include an itinerary - at least that was what was stated on the letter I received. Having gained from other people’s experience for my other travels, I thought to give back by sharing the information based on my experience and it’s up to would be applicants to either use it or not. 1 Like |

Here is a what your itinerary should look like. (Please note for this application, my account balance was in shambles when I applied so I used my Hubby's bank statement, attached our marriage certificate and a separate letter from him confirming he was sponsoring my trip) NAME : PASSPORT NO: PLANNED ITINERARY IN LONDON FROM 1ST – 7TH OF DECEMBER 2022 I will be travelling to London as a solo tourist and I’m excited to finally see all the beautiful and historical places I’ve only come to know of via the media (TV, Books, Documentaries, etc) Therefore, kindly see my planned itinerary below; 1st of December : Arrive at Heathrow Airport. Hello All, I’m a silent reader on this thread and having seen a couple of visa refusals, I thought to share with everyone applying for UK VISA that as long as your other documentations are intact (Emoloyment letter, bank statements, promotion letters, payslips, your pension account statement ( which shows ties to Nigeria) etc, you can tidy up your visa application by providing an itinerary that clearly states your plans for tourism, accommodation, feeding and transportation. Also, you do not necessarily need to go overboard by following these tips. The purpose of this is to help ensure you can successfully convince the ECo that your low budget will be enough for your trip. Just to add: My first UK visa application was refused in 2012 because I did not include my travel itinerary. I have since learnt that valuable lesson, made corrections and to the glory of God, my visit visas have been granted each time I applied afterward. Here are some tips I’d like to share. 1. Tourist attractions https://www.visitlondon.com/things-to-do/budget-london/free-attractions-in-london Check that site for list of free things to do in London. 2. Accommodation Sites like Agoda and Booking.com have cheap hotel accommodations. Albeit some are slightly expensive but any Ibis, Travelodge etc hotels are generally affordable. Just ensure the hotel you book is not too far from the london tourist attractions you plan to visit so you can save on transportation. I like to book ahead so I look for deals that have Free Cancellations. E.g If. Plan to submit my UK visa application in August and my trip is planned for December, I will search for hotels on Agoda and Booking.com that have the option of Free Cancellation by 31st of November ( this is to ensure I don’t lose money if the visa is not issued for any reason) 3. Transportation My advise is to take the bus and train as much as possible. Research your routes and Google train and bus fares. So you can figure out the cost and have a rough estimate 4. Feeding If you book an accommodation with bed and breakfast, be rest, all you need to figure out is lunch and dinner which you can buy from McDonald’s, Nandos ( my absolute favorite), KFC etc 5. Google is everyone’s friend and there are no dumb questions to ask. When researching, I always type in my questions as it comes to my head and if needed, Google corrects and shows the information I need. Ensure you research everything you need to know about your itinerary so much so that you’d start to seem like a local. 6. Itinerary Once all the above is sorted, please type out your itinerary, explaining to the ECO how you plan to spend your one week in UK. Here’s an example Day 1- Arrive at Heathrow Airport via Emirates Airline at 7.15am. Clear immigration and take the Heathrow Express to Paddington which is 0.5km to my booked hotel Day 1- Refresh, have some breakfast at the hotel and then take the Bus to Buckingham Palace (2 miles from my hotel). From there, proceed to London Museum (Cost : £0) , ( and state any other tourist site you plan to visit while ensuring they places are close to each other). Return back to my hotel and retire for the night. Day 2- Hop on Hop off bus ( this is at a cost. Not sure of the amount but for the sake of this message, let’s say £25). Day 3- Visit the Coca-Cola London Eye ( This is also at a cost- check Google for the price) Food is sold everywhere around London eye and it’s a great place to spend the whole day because there are multiple attractions at the site ( For a fee Ofcourse). If travelling with kids, look for fun kids activities such as Aquarium, Shrek etc which are also at the London Eye site. Day 4 - Visist blah blah Day 5- Visit Blah blah Day 6 - Visit Blah Blah Day 7- Return to Nigeria via Emirates airline on the 12 noon flight. ( the stated flight times are just estimates, check the actual time on your ticket reservation) Cost Summary: Return Flight Ticket: £600 Accommodation at Blah Blah ; £450 for 6 nights Feeding: £150-£200 Transportation: £150-£200 Tourist Sites : £ 250 ( based on actual prices as shown on Google) Ensure you attach a flight booking and hotel booking to your submitted documents. Hope this helps and Goodluck to everyone! 11 Likes 1 Share |

Gift7428: It is strongly advised that you apply with your hubby. Once the visa is granted, he can travel to Nigeria and Bisit the UK as often as possible. I have two friends who did this. Their husbands have great jobs in Nigeria so they visit the family in UK since they already have their BRP. Hope this helps. 1 Like |

slutky: Please use your email. I assume your kids are minors and it’s expected that they won’t be able to monitor the progress of their application by themselves. It is also easy for you to track their applications using your email address because each child/dependent is expected to have different passwords anyways. A lot of people did this and they were able to track their children’s application. |
