Bros abeg!!
30 million may much but the OP will need about 10million since they only required only first year tuition and living expenses and proof of how you will pay for the subsequent years.

leave that guy. He has never processed visa before. There are universities in Canada that accept as low as 3700 Canadian dollar per year(about 1.2m) and even cheaper seff. It’s not as if the guy will just study. He’s also allowed to work 20hrs per week.
no school in Canada accepts the amount you mentioned above for international students. The least is Cad8k to Cad11k, try to make proper research next time.

False in what sense, is 24 outside the age bracket i metioned. All these you have mentioned works for only those in canada. And the candidate in question is 19 and only has a two year diploma certificate without any canadian work experience. Mind you the work experience needed has to be with a company that has LMIA.

So where have i gone wrong? Me i don't understand you people sha.
you start losing points from 30years so 35 is not the required age bracket.

at the bolded the person you quoted made mention of "going for" and "staying back" I don't understand how that implies already has diploma and an applying for PR. You can read it again maybe you missed it. Have a nice day.

Good morning peeps, happy Sunday to us all!
I am a prospective PhD applicant and looking at studying in Canada. Though I already completed a course based research prog in Nigeria with cpga of 4.53 but presently I am undergoing a masters by research program in South Africa to conclude this year.

I will like to know if I can apply to Canadian schools now while my prog is still ongoing in South Africa?

Also A friend told me Canadian schools don’t consider PhD for international students except I enrol for masters. How true is this my people?

I really want to tap into this opportunity this year.
yes you can apply while your program is ongoing. Although, it is better to apply after your program, by then your credentials will be ready.

That is false you can apply directly to PhD program as an international students as far as you have a masters degree (2.1) and/or secure a sponsor.

PR application is best for someone around 24 to 35 as the person could attain the highest score. That you studied any type of course and have any type of degree does not guarantee PR. Diploma has no chance at all as its course is low.

Search google for CRS calculator and do an eligibility test. You will understand better
this is false actually, the right age bracket for PR application via the express entry path is 20-29years couple with Canadian work experience, study and great IELTS score has a better chance than most outward applicants.

Note: An inward PR applicant has three paths to Permanent residency the CEC path, express entry and PNP.

Most inward applicant usually follow the CEC path because its major requirements is one year work experience (1580 hours) in O,A or B NOC, which I believe is very possible with 3years PGWP.

I will suggest you liquidate it by sending to your parents or siblings, they should send it to your account with a gift deed. This is will eliminate any discrepancy when it comes to source of funds. Because I don't think cryptocurrency can act as a viable source of funds. Good luck.

LONG POST ALERT!

My PPR journey

It's been Grace nothing else!

First time applicant

LoA @ Conestoga college: Dec 11 2020
•study visa application submitted: July 19th 2021
•Biometrics letter: July 20th 2021
•Biometrics completed and updated: July 22nd 2021
•Upfront Medical done: Jan 10 2021(months before applying for my visa)
•Medical updated to pass: July 27th 2021
•Eligibility review: sept 25th 2021 (sighted), not sure of the exact date it started.
I did not catch any ghost update
•BVL/ppr: October 26th 2021

My story
I got my admission into Conestoga College to study Construction management with coop (2 years program) Admitted for fall 2021. I deferred almost immediately to winter 2022 so as to enable me have enough time for researching on how best to submit a nice application (i have later realised that the success of this journey is in no way by my power, it's been Grace)

Prior to applying to Conestoga, I had gotten admission into Carleton uni for meng prog in civil Engr. I also had $25k loan from MPOWER financing for my offer at Carleton.

I was about preparing my visa doc when I stumbled on some posts on Nairaland emphasizing on coop opportunities. Since my offer at Carleton did not provide coop, I opted for Conestoga. This choice was also at the expense of losing the loan from MPOWER as they do not offer loan for pgd/pgc programs.

As a self sponsor, Frankrobbn advised that it's best to show pof of the total duration of study as against showing pof for first year only. Tuition is approximately 18kcad per year (36kcad for 2 years) + 20kcad for living expense for 2 years. Frankrobbn insisted that I show a pof greater than 56kcad for total duration of study.

This seemed impossible but God in his infinite mercy provided assistance as well as the wisdom to solve the challenge. Myself and Frankrobbn brainstormed on how best to tell a convincing story to the visa officer as follows;

I theoretically expanded my dads computer engineering firm to include a construction arm. Since this will not reflect in the cac document, I had to do some serious explanation in my sop. I deliberately did this to help strengthen my home tie further claiming that id return to fully manage the biz (just as most of us applicants would always say grin). I then compelled/convinced/forced/pressured/begged my dad to send me some money monthly (salary simulation) for 6 months (from Jan to June). Not that he was financially buoyant enough, God did His thing.

Employment
1. Project director at my fathers company (part time) - Gof tech Ltd

2. Construction sales engineer at a multinational company (full time) - Mbcc ltd

education
BTech in civil engineering 2016.
_Note that I was almost about to complete a masters in civil engineering at Uni of Ibadan, but I did not disclose this in my application._

_I also ensured that my Linkedin account as well as other relevant social media profile maintained these stories._

Documents submitted

education
1. LOA from Conestoga college
2. Btech civil eng 2016 cert
3. Academic transcript
4. waec & nysc cert
5. ICT Training certificate
6. IELTS

employment & professional certification documents
1. CV in Canadian format
2. Nigerian society of engineers membership certificate
3. Employment letter from gof tech Ltd prepared by myself
4. Employment letter from mbcc ltd
5. Letter of salary increment from both companies
6. Manufacturers association of nig: cert in hazard and risk assessment
7. Cert in HSE 1 & 2
8. Appraisal bonus letter from mbcc Ltd
9. Recommendation letter from Mbcc Ltd. This letter was written by myself. I flattered myself a lot in this letter, I also mentioned that the company granted me a study leave (I called it *paid leave of absence*)
10. Complimentary and biz card from both companies.

Proof of funds
1. Bank SOA showing N25m (75kcad) and reference letter duly stamped by Uba. No mbs
2. First semester tuition receipt (9,337Cdn)
3. My father's house doc (survey plan only)
4. My father's company cac doc
5. My mother's nur/pry/sec sch cac doc
6. Deed of inheritance of a 2 bedroom bungalow from my dad. _i claimed the house is worth over N20m. _I did not submit any valuation doc to prove this_
7. 3months pay slip from Mbcc Ltd.
8. 2 months pay slip from gof tech Ltd prepared by myself.

Other documents
1. 5 pages SOP (with sub headings)
2. 3 IRCC FORMS
3. Upfront medical slip
4. Expired police clearance cert
5. International passport
6. Family details such as birth cert, family photos of parents and siblings.
7. I mentioned my girlfriend as a home tie (showed photos of us together in some outings and claimed id marry her someday) ;Dmaybe it worked, who knows.

Special appreciation
First and foremost to God and my parents. My dad used to pray only on crossover night. The intensity of his prayers increased when I applied for my visa. My mum, she loves prayers more than her husband.

Frankrobbn. Really, I can't stress how good he is, especially when it comes to telling stories and brainstorming ideas to convince the visa officer. Yes I paid for his service, I was more than willing to - considering the high number of success rates and testimonies shared all around by several applicants who have employed his service.

Other particular gurus on NL such as Ralphudoh, Chocs, Justmellow and Lekiboboe(now canadaboboe grin). These gurus helped in answering my tonnes of questions.

My bosses at work were so understanding and helpful. It's a peaceful feeling to have non toxic employers.

My friends Aminat (now at Cornell uni, New York), Mujib (uni of Toronto), Mubarak (uni of Alberta). These 3 idiotic geniuses helped me a lot on my SOP with corrections & proofreading's.

Lessons learnt in this journey
1. A cheerful giver will never lack. Showing good deeds has it's way of coming back to bless the giver in multiple folds.
2. Be hungry for knowledge, do a lot of research (homework). Whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well.
3. Having and developing a cycle of good friends have a powerful impact on ones intellect, financial and physical health.
4. God factor can never be overemphasized.

To all PPR hopefuls, God will grant you all your heart desires. To all approved applicants, may we all excel globally.
congratulations... Please what are the requirements needed for construction management in Conestoga college. I have searched their website, with no success. I am a graduate architect. Thanks.

Fucking fiction

This was exactly the type of imagination I had in my head when I got admission to study architecture, but when you come in you understand that every fucking thing boils to years of experience. No client will give you the amount you quoted up their without looking at your past work (work portfolio). This will give him/her they idea of what you are capable of doing, and if found satisfying, hire you.

You cooked up this story and to make it look believable including your long time friend. Funny enough, you didn't tell us where this estate is located, or don't you want more clients here.

And come to think of it who will give a rookie 10 figures Worth of project? If even you are they best designer in the world, which obviously you are not.

Maypearl:
Hello everyone,

I got 4 admission offers for Master programs starting in January 2022. I am only interested in two of the offers; one from London met university in the UK and another from Ryerson university in Canada. I am more interested in the offer from the Canadian university because I prefer the curriculum there but I’m a bit reluctant because of the Canadian visa process. I am 99% sure I’ll get a student visa for the London school but I really prefer the Canadian due to its curriculum and opportunity of a PR. I can’t accept both offers because I’d have to pay a deposit to receive my acceptance letters which I need for my visa applications. So I am here to ask for you guys opinions.

I will advice if you are young let's say less than 27 years,go to London metropolitan university, you can work for two years after study and subsequently apply for Canada PR. Furthermore, you have a sister there who can guild you towards getting a sponsorship visa. Architectural related jobs are in the work shortage list.

Should I take the risk and go for the Canadian visa or I should go for the London admission. Here is my details:

It boils than to age as I said above if you don't have age on your side go to Canada you'll become a PR in 3 to 4 years. What I detest about Canadian student visa process, its not the delay but how long it takes to get the delay. Waiting for 5 months just to get delayed is heartbreaking.

Education: Bsc Architecture 4.04 cgpa

Academic IELTS score: overall band score of 8, Listening - 9, reading - 8, writing - 7, speaking - 7.5

You have a good CGPA, as a graduate architect my self I envy you, you don't need IELTS for both country Visa's with C6 in English in WAEC you are good to go

Finance: I have little to nothing personal savings compared to what needs to be in my account. I would be sponsored by my sister (blood sister) she resides in London and is a manager in one of the big 4 auditing companies. Her savings is way more than enough for my tuitions and living expenses. So my sponsor is more than capable.

For Canadian study visa it does not matter how much you have in you account. Just show your personal SOA for UK tier 4 visa you must have total tuition and about £9207 for upkeep for 28 days in your account

Employment: I have been employed since I graduated in 2016, but they’ve all been on contracts, no official employment letter, no contract documents, but from my bank statements you can see transfers of money over the years with remarks of professional building fees, payment of building materials etc (I design and build houses). I don’t know if this is enough as proof of employment.

For Canadian visa process this may be a problem, you can't use job as home ties, since their is no employment letter or documents showing you are employed. But since you said you design and build on contract basis get a CAC certificate.

Ties to Nigeria: I am not married, but my two younger brothers (who are 21 and 19 years old) have been living with me for 2 years, I take care of them and I am their legal guardian on their school documents (because they live with me not my mum, the school consider them my wards and put my name as their parents/guardian) I have bank statements proofing I pay their school fees as well, is this enough to consider them as my dependents?

I don't think you can use them as home tie they are not underage I.e less than 18, VO will believe with or without you they should be able to fend for themselves. Most times this guys use their system to judge us, in developed countries an 18 years old is already working. If you have land, building or you are a strong member of an organization whether religious or social. You can use those as home ties.

Finally my master program is not in architecture but in digital media design management. It is related to my course because I would be specialising on human oriented design and visual and augmented reality production which most digital architects are opting to study. But I don’t know if the visa officials will understand the connection.

I don't think this is a problem as far as you can write a convincing SOP that highlights how you job experience relates to your study, you are good to go.

Thank you in advance to all responses.

.

Spending close to #8million naira no be beans o.

Chai.
13k pounds for tuition fee. That's outrageous.
that is about 22000 CAD and 18000 for Canada and USA university tuition fees respectively. 13k pounds is less than 2 years tuition fees for the countries above. USA only part way to citizenship is by marriage (which a lot easier compared to UK), although, to naturalize in Canada is easier but to get in is difficult.

For ops question: the post study visa only started recently so you may not get first hand experience for your question.

But let's do some permutation
Let's say you earn £10.5/per hour which gives you £22000/Year and after tax of £18000 that gives us 1500/per month
Rents = £500/per month
Food = £150/per month
Utilities/other expenses = £250
Total = £900
Balance = £600 * 12 = £7200*2
= £14200
Note: this is a rough estimate base on my research.
