It’s ppr guys! I don’t know if anyone remember me when I came ranting in pain sometime last year October..but please let’s never give up. I was denied on the 29th of October 2021 based on financial and personal asset which I clearly stated here that it doesn’t make any sense based on the substantial evidence I submitted to prove ownership of every tangible assets I own which is also in my name ranging from houses to lands, more than 18 mill in the account that has been there for two years, first term school fees paid etc. after the refusal I applied for my gcms note but put in a new application before it came out and noticed I was misinterpreted as I clearly stated I was the sole sponsor but when I saw what was written on my application I was totally disappointed because it was an error on their side stating my parents were sponsoring which I never made mention of…. I reapplied immediately on the 30th of October with a new Loe, used the court stamp on every documents submitted earlier, added more assets to the application and even cars lol.

Timeline
First student visa application July 19th 2021
Denial 29th of October 2021
Reapplied 30th of October 2021
Medical passed 17th of February 2022
Correspondence and ppr letter 2nd of March 2022

My problem now is I applied for the uk visa November which I got in December and committed 7k pounds to get the admission, CAS and what have you. I’m currently in the uk, classes began last week.. can I send my passport to vsf in London or I have to waybill it back to Nigeria to get it stamped. And if London is possible, how can I go about it getting the passport stamped? Thank you for your guidance.
congrats
It will have been possible if you applied in UK since you are resident, to be on a safer side waybill the passport to Lagos for stamping. Good luck.

Hello guys, sorry I am new here and kinda finding it difficult to understand the site. But I will get used to it with time.

I have lots of questions regarding this visa and study permit application of a thing. I applied for an undergraduate program to the university of Regina in Canada and I got an admission congratulatory message 2days ago, though I applied with my Waec results(finished in 2011) and also have a degree in Accounting from unilorin but with a third Class certificate.

Now my problem is when applying for the study permit & visa, in my letter of explanation/statement of purpose, do I need to declare that I have a degree certificate(2018)?

Since 2019 no job so I decided to take up a small business (sales of fabrics) till last year November 2021 I got a job but it happened that they owe staff salary so I didn't stay long, left in December last year cus before I could get my November salary it was war in December and to think it's a well known company!!‍♀️

----- Now as for my business, it's a small one and I just registered it Jan 2022. I don't have a bank account for it yet so most of my savings are kept with my mum though not enough to even sponsor my tuition..
Now I don't have a bank account to show for my business that I can say I transact with. Though my parents are sponsoring me and they have the assets and capacity to fund me.

---Lastly, how do I construct my SOP that won't raise the VO suspicion as to what I have been doing for the past 11years after High school if I got admitted for an undergraduate course in Canada at my age(26yrs) knowing fully well I have not been working since then.

P.S - I went for Nysc in 2018/19 but was posted to a primary school

Please kindly help me as I am in a dilemma of either declaring my Bsc Certificate or not and how to defend what I have been doing for the past 11years after High school and also how to incorporate & defend the value of my business which is a Small business.

Thanks fam. I appreciate
now this is tricky why didn't you go for post graduate certificate in accounting or related course? All the same, it is at your prerogative to disclose or hide you b.sc degree but note; if you declose you degree you will have to convince the VO why you decide to go for another b.sc and 3rd class is not a genuine reason.

And if you decide not to declose your degree make sure what you are going to study is very much related to your work experience.
note; if you hide your degree, you will never use that degree again for any application in Canada.

For the POF, your parents can sponsor you but make sure you submit a SOA with tangible funds. Especially if decide not to disclose you b.sc cert. Because the VO will think you have been working for 11 years and suppose to have saved enough amount to take care of at least one year of study.

you don't need a business account to apply you CAC and savings account should be enough.

I will strongly advise you to apply for post graduate certificate in business related field since you have been running small business. It will be easier to prove career progression. But if you insist on going for the undergraduate fine and good. Good luck

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay. As stipulated in subsection 216. Of the IRPR. Based on your personal assets and financial status.
(Modify) (Quote)this is just the generic refusal reasons. Follow what I wrote and reapply when you get your gcsm notes. Good luck.

Personal assets and financial status.
your notes may read this:
The applicant has some money in his bank accounts but I am not convinced the money will be available for the duration of his study because of this I have delayed him
This is just what I think will be contained in your notes, but to be on a safer side, order your notes.

HOW TO TAKLE THIS LIKELY REFUSAL REASON;
1. Build you account for at least for four to six months with a substantive amount that will make the VO believe you have the figure in SOA. Please avoid lump sum.
2. Pay first year full tuition.
3. Keep about 7m for two years upkeep you can put this in a different account.
4. Use you wife and kid as home ties
5. If you have any property (land, house, cars) you can add them to your application with its documents like land survey, valuation or sale deeds.
6. Write a strong and concise LOE (letter of explanation) why you are a genuine students and reasons that will make you return. You can add jovial pictures of your wife and kids. For each reason in your LOE make sure you have evidence to back it up.
7. You can get a sponsor.
8. PRAY!
Good luck.

Please, I have a bit of an issue and I would like to get suggestions from you guys.
I just received my admission acceptance letter, and the session begins May 2.

Considering the time-frame for processing study visa, I'm worried it may not arrive on time going by the normal application.
Then again, I would've have considered the NSE option, but I dont have IELTS.

Please, I need advice on how best to proceed.
Give it a trial you might be lucky to get approved before your start date and if you don't get the visa before your start date, you can defer to the next available date.

The NSE route is no more functional, I will advice you to use the new potal.

Please what is the different between course based and thesis based. Which one is actually better for an international student. Secondly, I have a sibling in Saskatchewan who is a PR and I want to apply in university of Saskatchewan. I am just disturbed that I might be denied a visa base that I have a strong tie in Sask.
course based masters are mostly professional masters I.e masters for professional license, the lecturer teaches and sets exam at the end of the semester or session as the case maybe just like your undergraduate days.
While, thesis based masters are strictly research. You'll be assigned a professor who will guilde you in the cause of your research and at the end will be published.

You don't have anything to worry about just package your application properly most especially your SOP. A lot of persons have gotten visa with their siblings resident in Canada. Good luck.

Travel / Re: How It Is Possible To Live In The Uk For 30 Years And Have Zero In Savings. by Davidganna10: 1:12am On Feb 24, 2022
HEAVEN4444:
brother the UK is not a place that pays high wages. even medical doctors there are struggling and they japa to america for more money. and so the average salary in uk is like 25,000 pounds. thats average meaning half the population is earning less than that. so as a black person lets say your average is 20,000 a year

The 20000 you mentioned is actually minimum wage but lets go with it
I
Tax will take a quarter of that. yoU cant avoid it. thats 15,000 left

False after tax and deduction you have £17200

unless you choose to live on the street, but if you live in a house you pay council tax of 1000 a year
14000 left

Let me agree with this you are left with 16200 and not 14000

light and water bill and gas is like 3000 a year. thats 11.000 left

Are you saying someone earning minimum wage will pay £250 on utilities? what happen to flat share?
Light, water, heater, will only set you back by £150. BTW, some rent comes with utilities. So you are left with £14400

if you have car MOT and TAX and gas is like 3000 a year. and if you dont have car, public transport is like 3000. thats 8000 left

What are you doing with car you earn minimum wage for crying out loud, you don't need car and the baggage it comes with, when you can pay < or = £100/month on train and busses. So you are left with £13200.

TV license is 200 pounds
if you have mobile phone lets says 1000 a year. you are left with 7000

Tv license is about £160/year and frankly you don't need it. Remember you earn minimum wage, huh.
You won't spend more than £500 on phone a year. This brings your income to £12500.

you clothe yoUrself and children if you have children. lets say 500 a year. you have 6000 left

Children changes the dynamics of you argument, because two income will be involved, UK is not Nigeria where the man does everything while the woman stays home to take care of the kids. Now let say the both are unfortunate they were only able to land minimum wage jobs. I.e another £17200!
They have two kids and the pay £600ech monthly for both kids I.e 1200*12 =£14400 they will be left with £2800 for baby food, clothes and toys.
Note: They will only do this for about 4 to 5 years and government handles the rest till the get in to university. Addition £14400 for 12 years if the decide to remain stagnant. Sorry, I digressed.

you feed yourself and children. lets say 3000 a year you have 3000 left

Feeding 1800/year
Clothing 500/year shop at penny store you are a minimum wage earner. You are left with £10200 I.e 12500-2300.

rent is 6000 pounds a year so now all yoUr money has finished and your account is NEGATIVE 3000.

Rent 700*12 = 8400
10200-8400 = 1800

miscellaneous like sending money home or unexpected things to buy is 1000 a year so now your account is in the red for 4000 pounds

He sends £1000 = #750000 home to buy one plot for villa and keep £800 for miscellaneous.

SO ON THE AVERAGE BRITISH SALARY YOU END UP OWING THE BANK 4000 POUNDS IN THE RED. NO SAVINGS. YOU GET IT ?

SO NOW YOU UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE CAN LIVE IN UK 30 YEARS AND HAVE ZERO IN SAVINGS AND BE OWING BANK MONEY ?

My write up demonstrates how an average Nigerian immigrant will spend when faced with the above income.
Stop comparing Nigeria UK immigrant to native British they don't depending on them so they can spent on impulse.

3million can't get you to Germany and Norway you will need about 5.5million for Germany and 6million for Norway. And both countries are hard to migrate via student visa currently especially bachelor program.

If you can raise the money to 10 to 12 you can apply to Canada for one of their diploma programs.

Good day to you all. I have gone through different articles & threads about migrating abroad.

I want to preferrably pass through the study visa route. I want to study computer science B.SC.

Please I want tips for undergraduates, simply because it seems the criteria & process is quite different with the POF.

Also, I'm open to any other type of advice on countries to move to without study visa.

PS: Australia, U.S.A, Canada, & U.k out of the list.
you can look at Italy you will show €4800 (2.3million naira current exchange rate) as living expenses and additional €0 to €3k as tuition you can also apply for family base scholarship. Check Sapienza Rome University.

hahaha...but bro Canada no dey like US or UK, that place will get to you mentally without a partner most especially for the female folks. Their was a time on Twitter they tried hooking up over 30 years Nigerian women in Canada to Nigerian based suitors. In UK and USA a guy can walk up to you and you guys will exchange numbers this is not common in Canada.

In Canada, single India men go for single India women or whites, they same is applicable to Chinese. But when it comes to Nigerian men they mostly go for whites or other races.

Also, Canada is a large country with very small population, with most of them preferring dogs and cats to humans.

Is there anyway I can prove she is the owner of the land to ircc.
it is likely an ancestral land....
You sponsor can do the survey plan of the land,it will contain the sponsors name, address,
And his/her contacts. Also, it will show whether the land is encumbered or not.

Hello everyone,
thanks for all the information you give, I have some questions, I just applied to Cape Breton university in Nova Scotia and I hope I get admitted, I heard it’s not advisable to come to Canada and hope to work to pay tuition but I wanted to ask if it’s possible to get student loan for international students after landing and probably pay back after school after getting pgwp

Also my course is 27000 cad, I have just 2million personally in my account I have 1000Euros in my dom account,I have been thinking of how to get sponsor as my mum is just a junior level civil servant with little funds not even up to 2m in her account, no dad but I run a cargo handling company which is registered but I wanted to ask is it possible that my friend who is my business partner based in the USA be my sponsor, she is my agent who clears my package for me and she also registered the business over there in the USA but only her name is on the one in the USA, both our names are on the cac document in Nigeria , can she be my sponsor or can money be transferred into my mum’s account so she can be my sponsor or can my uncle who is not bearing the same surname with me but based in the UK be my sponsor.
This questions has been eating me up as I don’t know how to get sponsors and I wish to travel this year

Also if I get to Canada and come back to Nigeria to get married to my partner Can I apply for work permit for him to join me immediately or must I get married before and state it in my application for student visa application before I can apply for Spousal work permit after Landing for him due to insufficient funds for us to go together

Your honest opinion will be appreciated
Thanks in anticipation
my advice to you is to apply to cheap schools, there are many university or colleges that has relatively cheap tuition.

1.Apply to a school that have <18kCAD tuition.

When You get admitted, tell your mom
to send you some money( about) with gift deed. This will bring your total funds to 3.2million this will enable you pay your first term tuition and also show funds for your living expenses.

Before paying your tuition Print your bank statement.

Pay first semester tuition.

Contact your uncle to write sponsorship letter and provide the following documents; 1His Employment letter/business registration certificate
2. Birth certificate for proof of relationship.
3. Bank statements
4. Promotion letters
5. His payslips
6. Passport bio data Page.

Provide home tie; assets, properties and your mother can stand as home ties, if you have neither assets nor properties, you can use you mother.

Write a captivating SOP, contact gurus to review it.

Apply and hope for best. If you don't get it in your first application you can apply again or request for you tuition.

You are only allowed to work 20hrs during school section and unlimited
hours during school break. Now you have about 35 days breaks combined in both terms and four month summer break. If you are able work two full time jobs that pays above minimum wage it might be possible. But this depends on you, It is not a guarantee. But it is better you get a benevolent sponsor. Good luck.

Happy new month to everyone and I wish to thank God for his grace so far.

I have been a hustler for long trying to make ends meet and at a point I was able to save about 1.5million naira to travel to China but unfortunately I was duped and my hard earned money went to voicemail. I kept struggling and saving money to go to Europe but I was denied visa twice to two different countries and then I gave up.

I decided not to travel again but the stress and insecurity in Nigeria has been worrisome especially in my region so I decided to travel to any french speaking African country and just experience a whole new different life outside Nigeria. My initial plan was to go to Burkina Faso or Equitorial Guinea and I did some research that would guide me as I didn't know anyone in both countries and I was just determined to go on this adventure myself.

I saved up some money which got to almost 3 million naira and then I crossed my heart and made my trip. From Nigeria I crossed into Benin Republic and then to Togo where I was supposed to cross to Burkina Faso. On getting to Togo it was quite late so I had to pass the night in a cheap hotel of 2000cfa franc. In the hotel I met some Nigerians going to Ghana with some friends based in Togo. I was hearing their conversations as they drank at the bar while I sat alone with a bottle of their local beer Castle.

Being that in Togo I discovered they hardly speak English, I decided to introduce myself to those Nigerians so that I can make some enquiry from them and that was how we all got talking and gisting till late night. The guys based in Togo told me alot about Togo and how life is cheap if one has some capital to get accommodation and start a small business. I was made to understand there is steady light, water and security in the small country. The next day I was suppose to leave for Burkina Faso I decided to pay for the hotel room for a week and explore Togo a bit. The guys I met that were based in Togo already were really helpful and they took out time to show me around, know the prices of stuffs and where to buy cheap stuffs as well. I began to fall in love with the country except for the fact that most people don't understand English, though some try to understand and speak a little so you have to scatter the English for them to understand.

I decided to find a house and few days was enough for that. I got a room and parlor self contained house for 30,000cfa a month and paid a year which is 360,000cfa. They hold 6 months as deposit and after six months I start paying 30,000cfa monthly or anyhow I wish to stretch it based on my pocket. I just furnished it a little and I am just chilling with steady light on a brief. The house has a prepaid meter so I recharge and use according to my power.

After making some deep enquiry about what business to start at least for now, I bought a tricycle they call Apsonic here in Togo. It cost 1.4million cfa brand new plus the plate number registration and all. Then I found a driver who took it on hire purchase to balance 2.5million cfa at 25,000cfa per week.

My good people, I know I have not reached where I am going but I bless God for where I am coming from. Right now I just relax myself planning my next move while every Saturday I wait to receive my weekly salary. With life here if you are someone that knows how to manage, even 1000cfa can feed you a whole day so I am really doing my best to see how much I can save by the end of this year over here and know my next move.

Please you all pray for me as I also pray for you all. The journey of a thousand miles always start with a footstep.
congratulations

My advice to you would be to learn French to C2 level, write TEF for Canada immigration. Good luck.

But the truth has to be said, there are many kind of racism but employment base racism is the worst, and that is what most Asian countries practice. A native European or American with one year experience will be employed before an African with 7 years experience in most Asian countries which is not so in America and most European countries.

In UK, some students are already getting work sponsorship, in America with the green card your life is secured. In these countries you can dream to attain any position if you work hard. Why then will majority do yahoo?. No it is not because the give visa to the good ones, but because it is easier to earn legit than to do Yahoo.
