Across Nigeria, blood is being spilled daily yet the sirens don’t sound, the cameras don’t roll, and the government doesn’t speak. While the elite sit behind tinted glass with armed escorts, ordinary Nigerians are left to face death alone.

From Kaduna to Zamfara, Plateau to Benue, innocent lives are being lost to bandits, kidnappers, and gunmen. And the pattern is clear: the Nigerian security system no longer protects the people it only shields the powerful.

Every day, heart-wrenching stories emerge. Families butchered. Children abducted. Villages wiped out. Yet, there’s no swift military response. No national address. No justice.

“If you’re not a politician or connected to one, your life means nothing in this country,” said a survivor from a recent attack in Niger State.

Security forces are often seen accompanying governors to photo-ops and events, but when everyday citizens cry for help, they’re told there’s “not enough personnel” or “no fuel for patrol.”

The inequality is deafening. While the elite fly in private jets and move with convoys of armed guards, rural communities sleep with one eye open praying not to be the next headline.

Social media is flooded with anger:

• “Security is a right, not a luxury!”

• “We’re being slaughtered while they host parties.”

• “How many more must die before the government acts?”

Analysts warn that this growing gap between the protected few and the endangered masses could push the country toward total collapse.

For now, the killing continues, and the silence from those in power grows louder.

But Nigerians are speaking up and the message is clear:

“Protect the people or prepare for resistance.”
