Nnamdi Kanu disappoint the people of Biafra

Nnamdi Kanu turns into a fugitive, on the run from the Nigerian military who raided his home in Afaraukwu, Abia State last week, a fierce debate is raging among those who supported his separatist cause.

Kanu is the self-appointed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), advocating the secession of southeast Nigeria, who are majority Igbos, from the rest of the country.

He seemed to have grown into almost mythical status following his arrest in October 2015, long detention and release on bail in April this year.
Since he came out from Kuje Prison, Kanu has drawn massive crowds at pro-Biafran rallies and many so-called Igbo leaders and politicians have been falling over themselves to pay homage, hoping some of Kanu’s stardust would rub off on them.

Yar’Adua was a patriot, says Buhari

Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has praised the late President Umaru Yar’Adua’s patriotism.
Buhari, who admitted on Tuesday that he had political differences with the deceased, still acknowledged his patriotism, saying that Yar’Adua had a passion for the masses.
Buhari also noted that his late Katsina political rival reversed policies he believed hurt the interest of Nigerians when he became the President in 2007.
Buhari spoke his mind in a tribute in honour of Yar’Adua during the 10th anniversary of his death.

The USA and Nigeria each have a civil war. One was to keep the USA united and to end slavery. The USA through the civil war developed a healthy respect for the military. That was also set in place the values which had promised the USA to be a nation of the free and the brave, where anyone and everyone could develop to the best of their potential. All these are founding principles that formed their war of independence from the British in 1776. They also built monuments to remind all about these values for freedom/republicanism: the Statue of Liberty, the Lincoln Memorial and the encapsulation of this freedom and values in their constitution.

The Nigerian civil war was not about freedom, although elements in the south tend to feel that their freedom was guaranteed by the federal cause. The Nigerian military has been unable to maintain the respect its counterpart in the US had sowed and maintained. The US military is regarded as probably the most venerable institution in the country, the epitome of service and sacrifice.

I lived in Accra since 2013. Though I'm back home now in Nigeria but it was a great experience I had in Ghana to meet, sleep and dine with foreigners.
Ghanaians are very friendly people, mostly there females are much more friendly than males. But take note, there males which use to be your good friend before, could start to hate a Nigerian male once the Nigerian start earning some good money from there country. You can get along well with Ghanaian females, once you got some change to flex, or even just sweet mouth.
In Ghana, you find western foreigners using the local transportation system called Trotro with locals but in Nigeria it's very very rare to see a white person in Danfo or even okada. You might see white people use there own private car or escorted by military securities vehicles in Nigeria but not the case in Ghana. Everyone works freely even at midnight.
As a Nigerian, don't come here looking for jobs cause the Cedes is more than the Naira. You'll be disappointed, big time. I've seen some big hotels even pay as little as 100 Ghana cedes to there staff and they are more than happy with the money cause that's a lot for a Ghanaian but not a lot for a Nigerian, that's just about 8000 Naira per month.

Following a string of suspicious deaths in Kano last week some have said the state, arguably Nigeria’s most populous, could be Nigeria’s Italy.

According to The Nation, police in Anambra state said they have arrested a 37-year old man, Chigorom Ezeofor for allegedly killing his father in Unuchiana village, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra state.
The police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed who confirmed the arrest in a statement on Saturday, said the suspect, said to be mentally ill, allegedly murdered the deceased with an axe.
