They are scarce, and the scarcity level depends also on your location. For example here in Ghana, virgins above the age of 20 are 0.01% of the population(Nana Yaa, no harm intended).
My Nigerian friend here met a Ghanaian lady and asked her if she was a virgin. Guess what she answered him, "do I look like a small girl to you?". Meaning, they see virginity as a childish thing.
NaNaYaaah:
I just dont get it hey..why do people find it hard to believe some girls are virgins grin and i dont mean second hand grin...

They may have been coming back from the Eagle Square where Gen. Buhari declared his presidential ambition today.

Celebrities / WAEC Seized My English Results Three Times" - Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon Reveals by davidugotex(m): 8:19am On Oct 12, 2014
An interview with Gbenro Adeoye of Punch Newspaper. Read below:

Did you write exams in school in these big words?
I used such words very-very freely in my exams both at the secondary school and in my university and little wonder I had the misfortune of my English results being seized intermittently in my O’ Levels.WAEC released my results for the other subjects and withheld my English result. This happened for about three years. Twice, I passed the University Matriculation Examination but I could not proceed to the University because of my English results that were not released. At the end of the day, it was released after the third attempt.

Why do you always speak ‘big grammar’? ( The guy find trouble)
I am not really consensus ad idem with those who opine that my idiolect is advertently obfuscative. No no no, it’s just that I am in my elements when the colloquy has to do with the pax Nigeriana of our dreams and one necessarily needs to fulminate against the alcibiadian modus vivendi of our prebendal political class.

How do you talk to your wife, children and even your friends?
I relate with my family and friends very warmly and in an atmosphere of camaraderie, stripped of my confutational habiliment and gladiatorial homilies. I am a very peaceful, calm, level-headed and celestially attuned soul personality.

Is this the way you proposed to your wife, speaking high tech grammar?
Of course, the business of the day when I interfaced with my wife on matters of the heart had to be in plain Caeser’s language and you can decipher why that had to be so.
The matter in view did not permit itself of sphinxian conundrum.

Do you know that many people don’t take you too seriously when you talk because they think you are not communicating?
Why will I be perturbed from ensconcing myself in the palatable arms of Morpheus because people
have deprived themselves of the cultivation of the regime of the mental magnitude? I read all the farrago of baloneys and vacuous bunkum from pepper soup objurgators. The spirit of animadversion remains their fundamental human right. It also remains an indubitable fact that I get millions and millions of requests daily from people all over the world requesting for my verbal mentorship which positive cosmopolitan reactions have assisted my equipoise and righteous sense of pachydermatous garb. I cannot put my nose to the grindstone daily and expect to be understood by those luxuriating in a modus vivendi, verging on pepper souping, goat heading, suyaing, big stouting and isiewulising. Has a philosophical wag not once pontificated that things of the spirit are spiritually discerned and that it takes the deep to call the deep. We will speak more on this matter of critiques and chichi dodo another day.

Why do you pull your trousers up beyond the waist?
Hahahaha….That trousers style is called Yohji Yamamoto. It was my own audacious statement to remonstrate against the pervasive tendency of Nigerians especially our youths that took to the practice of putting on trousers exposing their lower anatomical contours and I will do it over and over again.

Celebrities / What Happened Between Linda Ikeji And Mr Aye Dee Was 'love Turned To Hate" by davidugotex(m): 1:32am On Oct 10, 2014
Linda Ikeji has hosted her own website and she posted what transpired between her and Mr Aye Dee that made Google to delete her blog..Read below ...
What you are about to read is quite long…and chilling! I wasn’t going to share this info in public but after I showed it to some family members and a few friends who came to the house this morning, everyone agreed that I need to share this, that you all need to read this. You see, what happened with my blog wasn’t about beef. It wasn’t because I showed off my new SUV. It wasn’t about plagiarism, or copyright infringement. It was something deeper, very personal…and maybe even more dangerous. Some would call it obsession.
To understand this, I am going to start from the beginning but before that I want to talk about plagiarism. My understanding of plagiarism is when you take someone’s work and republish it verbatim as your own work. I don’t do that. But if I have ever done that in the past then I apologize…it was an oversight. I do get a lot of original content, way more than any other blogger in this country. Some of the biggest news stories in this country in recent times was broken by LIB. From Goldie’s death (God rest her soul) Aluu4, ABSU rape, P-Square saga, Solomon Akiyesi and plenty more. And when I take news from other sources, I always credit them. When I don’t give credit is when the news is everywhere so I write it in my own words and make it mine. I don’t believe that is a crime. I admit that I have used photos without giving credit. I apologize. That will never happen again. You learn every day. And I have learnt from this.

Now about Mr Aye Dee. Let me start from the very beginning so you guys understand what really happened. Please read more.

Like I said earlier, this was not about copyright or plagiarism. It was personal. Very personal. In 2009 or 2010…(not sure) a guy named Alex who used to run 1976AD blog contacted me. He said he was impressed with my work and wanted to encourage me to never relent. Alex Info 1976AD (how I knew him back then) and I became very good friends online. In fact he was my confidant. Every time I had questions or challenges, I would reach out to him. By 2011, Alex 1976AD and I became quite close…online. We even exchanged numbers and spoke a few times. He always reminded me how proud of me he was. He told me I would one day become a phenomenon. I wasn’t number one at the time but he told me that I would one day be the biggest news site in Nigeria…that he believed in me that much. He was my friend, my supporter; he sent me news to post on my blog. He wanted me to succeed. He told me things to do to get more readers. He knew a lot about the internet and how it works so I always went to him for advice. He was my anchor.

In 2011, Alex 1976AD made me his blog’s Person of the Year 2011. I shared that post excitedly on my blog. He said I was the most deserving Nigerian for the award that year…and he wrote the most beautiful article about me. He was so proud of me…and never hesitated to tell me. I was grateful. I was happy to have him as a friend.

Then we stopped talking. I sincerely can’t remember when exactly. I know that Alex 1976AD tried to reach out to me mid last year…but I can’t remember if I responded. If I didn’t, it was an oversight. I’m really bad at replying mails because I get so many and I’m always busy blogging…but anyway.

Yesterday around 2.07pm…my long lost friend Alex Info 1976AD contacted me via gmail chat. I was so happy when I saw his name pop up. I was like yay…Alex 1976AD! He would know what I should do in this situation. I thought he was reaching out to me after all this while because he’d seen all the craziness going on and wanted to lend support…but what he said to me next shocked me to my bone marrow. He said ‘I hope u’re sitting down’. Thankfully I was because I would have literally fallen if I hadn’t been sitting.

You see, my good friend and biggest supporter Alex 1976AD told me he was Mr Aye Dee. The same guy who started this. The guy that got Google to shut down my blog. It wasn’t about plagiarism or copyright infringement…it was about a scorned former friend. It was about love turning to hate because he felt I’d abandoned him after I became big. Please patiently read our chat below…

His last chat to me before yesterday was 12th of May 2013…

Celebrities / Re: Linda Ikeji Launches New Website's by davidugotex(m): 11:54am On Oct 09, 2014
I wish her quick recovery. She had always been a major source of inspiration for we the new comers in the blogging business. May God use the heads of her enemies to construct a ladder for her as she climbs to stardom.

The lessons therein for fellow bloggers and site owners are:
1. While copying news, information and updates from other sites, endeavour to rewrite same in your own words before you publish, but if you must fail this rule, at least acknowledge the source. Very Important#

2. Know that your enemies keep increasing as your success keeps increasing. Nobody will want to fight you if you are a nobody or a lunatic. grin

3. Always have a time limit to move from blog to your own website, if she had moved to her own customized website after successfully blogging for 8 years, this wouldn't have occurred. Although Nigerian love free thing shaa - no web hosting fee, no domain registration fee, no web design fee. grin grin

4. Always have a plan "B" in whatever you are doing, don't put all your eggs in one basket.

5. Don't be too stingy. When you are making good money as a blogger- from adsense, other adverts, promotions and endorsements; endeavour to employ more capable hands to help you. She said few days ago that the guys after her and blog are I.T gurus who know the in and out of the internet. Then why did you no get I.T experts too, to fight them and protect your interest? No chop alone and die alone o

6. When your enemies are trying to run you down, don't just fold your arms and do nothing. These guys have been threatening Linda for a long while now, they had made Google to suspend Adsense in her blog for some months, but it was just few days ago that she raised alarm, but then it was almost too late.

Finally my prayer:
God as I just dey begin my blogging biz with the hope of becoming like Linda soon or even more, as enemies no know me now or even my blog; make beer no carry dem go there when I go don hammer like Linda. Bless my hustles everyday, Amen.
Abeg na who go help me get Google Adsense for my blog shocked

You are not a phone dealer, if you are, you would have displayed your shop address and not just your phone number. By the way, even if you are buying those phone directly from the manufacturers, you can't get them that cheap. So your offer is too good to be true.
Phones / How To Identify An Unknown Caller by davidugotex(m): 9:18am On Oct 08, 2014
Have you had a situation whereby an unknown number kept calling you without giving you any breathing space? Or perhaps fraudsters have been calling you to rip you off your hard-earned money? Or perhaps threatening or blackmailing you? If you have had any of those annoying experience, learn a very simple way to burst them up and know their true identity, whether the number is a local number or International number.

Step 1: Go to www.truecaller.com, select your Country and sign in for free using either g+(your gmail account), faceboook or Yahoo.

Step 2: Type correctly in the search space the phone number you want to know the owner. Include the country code. Example: +2348030000111.

Step3: After typing the phone number hit your Enter/Return key on your keyboard.
Then watch the person's name and location and even picture display on your computer screen.

Please take note that not all phone numbers can be found in Truecaller database, you don't expect to find a new number that has not been used before, which is also not registered by the network provider.

Like I said before, Truecaller is available for everyone to use for free, however, you are limited to 12 numbers every 12 hours. That is to say, if you have searched for up to 12 numbers, you need to wait for another 12 hours before you search for another 12 numbers. Understand?

On the last note, it will interest you to know that Truecaller have their mobile application for Apple IOS, Android, Symbian, Windows, and Blackberry. With their mobile application, you can know the caller identity once his/her call enters through your phone, and there is no limitation to how many caller IDs you can unmask.

Thank you bro, I will do as you advised. Please it will be worthwhile if you can share with me tips on how to generate traffic faster, one can have useful topics in his blog without people knowing of it. How can I get the much-desired traffic.
moneymaker24:

Getting into adsense lately is not as easy as it used to be. Google adsense team now reviews sites twice before been fully accepted unlike back in the days when it's just one.

For an 8 days old blog, I wouldn't advise you even apply now. You need to first work on your traffic. I would advise a traffic range of 1K to 2K before applying but that doesn't guarantee u gonna b expected..

Make your blog user friendly.

Only create relevant pages and make them visible.

Design your blog in a way that it's easy to navigate through.

Don't do copy and paste. If you must copy contents from other blogs or website, make sure you rewrite them.

Post more of quality content.

If you follow those tips squarely, u should b good to go.

Best of lucks friend.

My blog is just about a week old and I would really want to adopt your blueprint to fast-track my Adsense approval. My blog is brainxpansion..com and it is a place to get news, information and education. I also know many other new bloggers are also eager to tap from your wealth of experience.

DonCrust:

Before i continue to read other comments let me take a break to give you an heads up from my personal experience.

My blog was just 5 days old when I applied for adsence and it was approved with tremendous alacrity cheesy (No mind my oyinbo). What did I do?

1. I joined hubpages, wrote some articles, posted reasonable and sensible comments on other people's articles not forgetting to refer the owner and readers to read some of my articles on related topic(s) without annoying anyone and as such creating backlinks to my blog.

2. I submitted my blog to search engines such as google, yahoo, hotmail/msn to mention a few.
How can I submit my blog to these search engines as well?

3. I visited some cyber cafe and asked the administrator to set my blog as the homepage of their numerous computer systems. This is because some internet users always wait for the homepage on the explorer to open before attempting to open the website they intend to visit.

4. I joined amazon's affiliate marketting and promoted a couple of motivational books.
Can you shed more light on No.4, please?

5. I spent 2 nights to research my niche and key words.
How can niche and keyword research be of help to my blog, should the research have come before the blog is set up or can it still help an existing blog?

6. I stepped up my game by creating twiter presence. Yes I remember interacting with alot of Nigerians in the diasporal on naijapals (before it became a trash for the wannabes).

8. I applied for adsence and i started earning on that same day.

The secret of google adsence is traffic. If you can generate enough traffic to your blog, you will become your banker's friend.

All the best!
Finally, what is your daily traffic like now, how many page views?

Thanks in advance.

London's Metropolitan Police have arrested a Nigerian man from Cross Rivers State for killing and eating his domestic dogs in line with a popular Efik custom that treats them as delicacies. In Cross Rivers State, dog meat is a very popular local dish known as 404 and Efiks regular kills dogs for their meat as they would say goats, chickens or cows. In the UK, however, killing dogs is illegal and is considered cruelty and a breach of the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

Earlier this week, the Nigerian man who is a PhD student and said to hail from Calabar, was arrested by Metropolitan police officers in his apartment, after his neighbours called them after seeing him beating a dog. Upon arrival, the police searched his apartment and found that he had frozen dog parts in his freezer. He was subsequently arrested and will be charged to court for animal cruelty, fighting with a dog, intentionally allowing a dog to suffer and mutilating an animal. Politics / Why I Joined Politics - Peter Obi by davidugotex(m): 9:47am On Oct 03, 2014
The former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi said that he decided to join politics in other to contribute to the creation of public wealth for the enrichment of the people and the return of sanity to the society harassed by all manner of barbarism.Obi was speaking yesterday at an interactive session with World Bank Youth Forum at the Office of the World Bank in Abuja.

Speaking on what contributed to his success as the Governor of Anambra, Obi said he decided at great personal discomfort to shut down the cost of governance and invested the money in other areas.
Obi, who said that any country that did not take care of her youths did not have a future, advised the members of the World Bank Youth Forum to remain focused about their future and the future of the country. Explaining further, Obi said the easiest and most effective way to build a future for the country is through investment in education. "In countries like Singapore, which we celebrate as moving from Third to First World, they invested much in education and always recruit those with first class into their public services. Because of the place of education in advancement of civilization, we, realizing the rot in our education system, decided to return schools to the missionary and gave them money to rehabilitate those schools. Due to what I call toll gates on the way, I insisted that assistance to schools by development partners should go straight to the schools. We did so many other things, including provision of buses, computers, Internets, generators, Sick bays, laboratory equipment, among others to all the public and Church-owned schools. The result is clearly manifesting as Anambra took first in WAEC and NECO examinations", Obi submitted.

Obi also called on the youth to cultivate the spirit of savings, always bearing in mind that there must always be the rainy day. He said that on completion of his tenure, he saved $156 million for Anambra State and another N26 billion in local investment. He said if the trend continued, it would be for the benefit of the state. He thanked President Goodluck Jonathan for the institution of the Sovereign Wealth Funds and called on Nigerians to view it from the perspective of its benefit to our children who might not benefit from the country 's depleting Oil deposits. He said that he tried to institute Sub national funds for savings for the State.

The World Bank Youth Forum is made up of young professionals between the ages of 18 and 35. They said they decided to invite Mr. Obi to talk to them by consensus based on what they called his spectacular performance in the State.
About 50 youths were in attendance. The World Bank a Country Director, Francois Marie Nelly also attended. She encouraged the youth to remain steadfast and challenge the authorities in a positive manner that will bring forth progress and development.

Politics / El-rufai Declares Intention To Contest For Governorship Office by davidugotex(m): 11:20pm On Oct 02, 2014
Kaduna - Former FCT Minister Nasiru El-Rufai on Thursday declared his intention to contest the Kaduna State governorship on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). El-Rufai said this in Kaduna when he visited the party’s office. “I came along with my colleagues to formally inform the state branch of the APC of my intension to contest for the governorship of Kaduna State. ”We think that it is a necessary first step to inform the party officially that this is our intention before making any formal declaration,” he said. He also congratulated the party leadership for its efforts in unifying the various factions and groups that constituted the APC. He said the chairman of the party and his team did a great job in reconciling all the warring factions “and we think it is important to encourage and ask them to do more”.Continue...

”As part of the reconciliation process, I have also offered to, if I am needed, help and forge reconciliation and unite the party. I will be happy to be part of any such initiative,” he said. According to him, ”we came to present the party with some vehicles because the party has nothing or little in terms of operational materials. “As you can see, the party office is not yet furnished; we are going to work with other stakeholders to make sure that the party office is furnished ”. He said there was the need for its leadership to go round the state, to campaign and enlighten the electorate to collect their Permanent Voters’ Cards’ and participate in the Continuous Voter Registration. “We thought that the party needed vehicles because since their (party leadership) elections, they have been using their personal vehicles. That is why we gave them some vehicles as a first step and we hope to do more. “We hope other aspirants will do even more because among the aspirants, I am about the poorest, ” he said. He said he decided to run for the office after a long period of consultation and reflection “because I am really angry at the state of Kaduna State. “ I think that my state has gone backward compared to our neighbouring states. “It is impunity of the highest order and it has made me very angry and many others and that is why we came together and try to run for this office”. He called on those that cared about Kaduna State to unite and forge ahead in the task of re-building the state.

Sports / Keshi May be Sacked, Siasia Ready To Take Over by davidugotex(m): 10:59pm On Oct 02, 2014
It is increasingly getting tough for out of contract Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi as he is not likely to be given a new contract by the newly elected NFF executive committee.
A majority of the new NFF leadership does not believe in the coach and even though he will supervise the two AFCON qualifiers against Sudan later this month, he will not be offered a new deal.

Keshi and Siasia
“Most members of the old board under Aminu Maigari have been returned, including Chris Green, who was technical committee chairman, and that can only mean bad news for Keshi,” a top source informed.
“But most importantly even the newly elected executives, the very top officials, do not support Keshi continuing as coach.”
It is believed that Keshi will only be left in charge of the team for the matches against Sudan home and away and thereafter a decision will be taken especially if by then Nigeria have mathematically lost out on qualifying for the Nations Cup in Morocco.
Keshi has become increasingly nervous since after the NFF elections in Warri on Tuesday because he is seriously in danger of losing the plum job now, our source said.
Recently some of his highly-placed backers had put pressure on the NFF secretariat to give the coach a contract, but that could not come through because only the executive committee has the power to appoint a coach.
Keshi’s problems have been further compounded by the renewed interest of former Eagles coach Samson Siasia in the job.
Siasia has publicly said he will be interested in returning to his former post if he is offered the chance again after he was fired three years ago when Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2012 AFCON.
“Keshi took the job from me and if I’m given the job again, I will take it,” he said in a radio interview.

The Ghanaian President, Mr. John Mahama, who made the disclosure at the Africa Global Business and Economic Forum in Dubai on Wednesday, said his government had made huge investments in power generation that would enable the country to export excess electricity to Nigeria and others.

“We have given priority to electricity generation in our country. We have prioritised energy in such a way that we want to become the hub for power production in West Africa. We want to generate electricity to the point that excess power can be exported to Nigeria, Ivory Coast and other countries that have power deficit,” he said.

To achieve this dream, Mahama said his country had secured export-import financing from China as well as special funds from Abu Dhabi to commence series of power generation projects, adding that a third hydropower dam project was already at an advanced stage.
