My outlook for the coming week...

Hello house it's the indisciplined trader here reporting and trying to hold myself accountable;
I have finally made my decision to stick with trading stock indices majorly the big three (ES-us500, NQ-us100 and YM-us30) and gold occasionally. I have been hoping from one asset class to another and that's one of my short comings which has plagued my trading. I also observed from the previous prop firms competition which I had participated, that I had more winning trades on indices than currencies. often times my analysis were right on the currencies but my trade execution were always poor which resulted in losses. but I find my trade setups much easier on indices than currencies. Also I love the volatility of indices which is much more better than currencies as I feel that currencies are too slow, because I am an intraday trader. And then lastly, trading indices fits my lifestyle at the moment, why because I am also a session trader, I trade mainly the New York AM and PM sessions which is around 1pm to 4pm and then 6pm to 9pm Nigerian time as this doesn't interfere with my job. I am a teacher and often times I find myself checking the charts even while I am teaching in class just so that I could catch a trade on currencies during the London session, which I know is very unethical of me. I no longer want to cheat on my work. my school closes at exactly 1pm which gives me the opportunity to trade without being worried of breaking work ethics. So I made up my mind going forward to focus only on indices and then build discipline, I am putting this here because I really want to be accountable and I also wanna grow as a trader to achieve consistency and become professional someday. Therefore I implore all elders to call me out when I get out of line.

Honestly!

Did my analysis over the weekend and realized that Gold would touch 2005-2006 area.

Can't believe I totally forgot what I analysed and was just working myself up throughout the week.

This is why journaling is very important to a trader sir. And also one has to learn to trust in his/her analysis. wether right or wrong, you have to be opened to the possibile outcomes...

I am anticipating price to head to 2008.xx and then 2022.xx on gold. Even though I have just made this analysis/call, I still don't know how to join the move at the right time without getting smacked..
I maybe wrong though, fingers crossed...

Na the same thing me sef dey do bossmi, but on a serious note, I have been bullish on gold since the beginning of the week, and I also posted my analysis here on gold, although I bought gold on Tuesday in line with my analysis but ah got a resounding smack after price moved in my favor 300pips, since then I have been on the sidelines. And secondly boss, you are the reason why I began following yusuftrader1 on Twitter, the guy is well rooted fundamentally, and I have been studying his post every single day, infact I turned on my notification for every post that he makes, just so I can pick up clues on fundamentals. one of the things that I have taken note to study is monetary policies and how they affect interest rates and inflation... and from my observation so far I can clearly say that gold indeed is more fundamentally driven than technicals, pls I'm in no way saying that technicals don't work but if you intend to study or trade gold, you may wanna keep tabs on its fundamentals... just my 2cents sir, cheers ...

Bossmi, I dobale 4 you. I also shorted GU, but jumped out with just 15pip profit due to fear of news, after the severe beating I chop from news last month, ah no dey get confidence to hold my trades whenever there's red folder news..

I concur with the XAMD ( reversal, accumulation, manipulation and then distribution), as it looks like price has reversed and it's consolidating on the 4h chart ...

To all fellow noobs here, there's a ton of mine field this week (aka high impact news). I suggest you avoid trading from Wednesday to Friday as there's the big muderfecking FOMC and NFP... This two mofos have tagged team to screw any juvenile trader to holy hell. If ya don wannabe wrecked stay out and then come back when the storm is over...

On US30:
I no bias on US30 at the moment because price has taken out the previous week DOL. I would like to see how Monday and Tuesday play out before I determine my bias

Last week indices was bae, especially us30 aka the beast. To be honest, I realized that when you trade with strict money management and proper lot size, you can trade any asset class irrespective of it's volatility though. This is just my humble opinion and I stand to be corrected by anyone who disagree with me. I am open minded and willing to learn.... Cheers

My outlook for NAS100;
I am anticipating price to reject off the weekly volume imbalance on the daily chart after price reprice into it. If price does that, the FVG residing above the weekly VI should act as a breakaway gap and that should keep price lower...
There's a confluence of volume imbalance on the 4h chart, as price made a volume imbalance inside of the weekly volume imbalance on the 4h chart. I would be anticipating price to find resistance there at the VI before pushing lower (internal range liquidity to external range liquidity)...

Advice to fellow newbies here, life is always full of dramas and bruhahahas, but it pays to be focused by not being distracted by what's going on around you... There are certain folks here on FTA that I idolize and kind of see them as my FTA mentors; Boss infofirst, charly20, samfelly my oga, Donsheddy, geovani, abham, rhynoemmie, kozmicity and jameselias. I always look out for their post whenever I'm on FTA because I'll definitely learn one or two thing from them. So fellow noobs, pick someone that you can learn from here and do not be distracted by the vavuvulence going on here ...

So I ought to have made an update on the analysis I posted here early last week, but due to personal issues I couldn't do that. but as they say better late than never huh.
I was expecting price to clearly take out the PWL but unfortunately price wicked the PWL b4 moving higher and then closed above the -BB HIGH. Seems like price isn't done with the upside yet. and also overall, price action wasn't clean through out the week on EU and GU, whereas us500/100/30 had super clean charts...

This week is a wasted effort!

I avoided gold, silver, usoil and us30 cos I saw these coming. That made me look at currency pairs, which will be my last time doing, these currency pairs are just too slow for my kind of person.

Today, yesterday, Usoil short opportunity came up after that yesterday's bull, I shorted it on a different account and it's doing great. US30 was shorting just like GU, so I decided to scalp it and made good pips (attached) - no loss today at all.

Whereas this useless GU (my last time of trading currency pair) is just worthless, too slow and sluggish for me, went from 50 to 10 to -30 to -20, now at -18.....useless pair, now as market closes today, she has finally confirmed her range for few more days from now and hence will will staying aside on it.

Monthly still says a big short, so I will just try and take back my -20, and quit GU forever and ever, amen

I bet a lot of traders lost account this week alone.

Felt the same frustration too on currencies boss. luckily indices saved me and made up for every loss I incurred on currencies
