This is good.

Some weeks ago, the Health Minister said it cost ₦10,000 to carryout a test for COVID-19 in Nigeria.

Yesterday 21/5/2020 the commissioner for Health in Lagos State, Prof Akin Abayomi said test cost the Lagos State government between ₦40,000 to ₦50,000 meaning for the 16,000 test they claimed has been carried out cost them ₦800,000,000. This leaves many wondering how much the state would claim it cost to treat and feed those at the isolation centres.

If Care's not taken, COVID-19 may even cost close to 10% of annual budget in Lagos, if almost ₦1 billion has been expended on testing alone this far.

It is well with Nigeria and Lagos State under those in charge

To Ogudu, How much is 20 tons of filling sand?

I need between 10 and 12 trips of 20 tons

saydfact:
Perfectly right.. regards

Thanks for your response.

The sand dealer said there are about 3 different sand they use as filling.

The one we used for casting is sold at over ₦40,000 for 20 tons.

She said we don't need that expensive grade for filling, but we can get one around ₦30,000 to fill ahead of ground slab (German floor)

What's your take and what would you recommend?

Can you give here in this platform a guide to your charges?

I have a construction comprising a semi detached 5 bedroom house at the frontal part and a rear 1 bedroom apartment on ground and first floor.

What would you recommend and the cost idea?

Dennis3D:
12 - 17% of the total cost.

When doing valuation, we make provision for 12.5% as professional fee.

This fee is not only for the architect/builder, but for all professionals involved in the project

saydfact:
N159,375:00k as calculated.... no ask me how I calculate am oohhh.....

Hello.

An Engineer suggested that Sharp sand as filling before Slab(German floor) is better than using laterite sand in water logged area like Ogudu.

What do you think?

Gurus in the house, Can i use any brand or make of Diseqc Switch on my strong 4950H Decoder, Or it has to be strong brand？

reason for this question is i recently got a Tiger Diseqc Switch for my decoder Strong 4950H, I observe when i join two sats to the DIseqc Switch and connect to my decorder, i am not able to watch the two Satellites consistently for a time without a break, one signal drops or the other

Pls what could be the problem? Thanks

davodyguy martinogeenz graphicicon

diSeqc switch drops signal by 3-5% and if the fake one, it can drop by 10%.

Most diSeqc in Nigeria today are fake.

I'm having same challenge. Would have ordered from UAE, but airports are closed

How do you calculate the required square metre of roofing material?

The gross floor area of my design is 30m * 7m.
How many sqm will be required to roof it?

gbadexy:
A high pigment regular emulsion was applied with roller.
The primer was used for this project.

Is this cheaper than POP?

Please educate me, ahead of my ongoing project.

I know POP smoothen surfaces, but if this can do same at cheaper cost, ill go for this

gbadexy:
Both pictures are matte finish. The first 2 is without primer, the last 2 is with primer.

Was POP screed used as the primer or just regular paint for the two lower images?

Good evening team

Like how many blocks can one estimate to complete this to roofing level?

3000, 4000 or more?

Thanks

well, we don't know what the outcome of this Pandemic would be. But getting an electrical job should not be hard regardless...... However u will definitely need to be NZ certified. You should probably look into the certification process first

Yes, 2019

It's LNB's quality that I'm suspecting.

It fails on polarity. Some times Vertical TPs work, while horizontal would fail and vice versa

Seems this 2020 rain is determined to damage KU Band LNBs
