A positive outcome of these dumb conspiracies is that some of our politicians and pastorprenuers may stop traveling
out to avoid dying of 5G.

That is, if they really believed the nonsense they are spreading.
South Korea is the first country on planet earth to deploy 5G technology since 2018.

UAE(which some Nigerians refer to as Dubai) deployed 5G since 2019. Many Nigerians live in Dubai, many Nigerians travel to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Sharjah and other Emirates in the UAE. 5G is working perfectly in UAE.
For the avoidance of doubt, Etisalat UAE(same Etisalat that's now 9mobile in Nigeria) and DU mobile are the two telecoms companies licensed to sell 5G SIM cards and 5G enabled phones to citizens of UAE and they've been doing so.

If you want any empirical evidence about 5G, go to these 2 countries and ask how many of their citizens have died because of 5G? Did COVID-19 start from South Korea or from UAE?

Stop listening to and believe lies.
Tell them to show you evidence of how 2.6Ghz to 3.8Ghz frequency can kill people.

There's no single evidence anywhere, all they do is to make people afraid, so the government can end the lockdown.

People should start thinking. Ask them for evidence and not just hearsay

China has officially launched research and development work for 6G mobile networks, having only just rolled out 5G.

The Ministry of Science and Technology said in a statement posted Wednesday, that it will set up two working groups to carry out the task.

One group will consist of relevant government departments responsible for promoting how 6G research and development will be carried out. The other team will be made up of 37 universities, research institutes and enterprises, which will lay out the technical side of 6G and offer advice.

5G refers to next-generation mobile networks that offer super-fast data speeds that promise to support technologies like driverless cars and virtual reality. China turned on its 5G networks earlier this month ahead of an initial 2020 schedule.

Those countries are not contemplating, some smaller counties or regions ruled by
superstitious and ignorant politicians are.

If Dino is the chairman of a local government and he has the power to stop 5G deployment,
do you think he will allow it?

In such a case, it will be wrong to claim that the Nigerian government is against 5G because
a local government is against it.
SDM would have sponsored a bill on the floor of the Senate Chamber to stop the launch of 5G in Nigeria, if he was still a Senator

Saudi Arabia, Iran, UAE (popularly refereed to as Dubai by Nigerians) Qatar are Islamic countries with good culture and very religious. They have all launched 5G technology and not sentimental like Nigeria

U.S.A already has 5G technology and only jealous of China, as the Chinese are at a level in terms of 5G deployment where the US is yet to match
PoliticsCountries With 5G Mobile Internet And Those Scheduled For Launch In 2020 by davodyguy(op):
I am compelled to put this write up together in view of the ongoing discourse, most especially comments being made by some influential Nigerians who ordinarily know next to nothing about technology and how stuff works, but are spreading false information about 5G and brainwashing their gullible supporters to think 5G is evil.

I would start by chronicling Nigeria's evolving from 2G to 4G and thereafter list countries with 5G mobile internet technology

Nigeria's story
The advent of GSM in Nigeria was in 2001 under the Obasanjo administration. OBJ licenced MTN and Econnet Wireless. Globacom was not licenced until 2003, Mtel in 2004 and thereafter Etisalat and Ntel in 2015/2016

Around 2001-2004, the mobile internet technology communication in Nigeria was in between 2G and 2.5G. Many of us would notice G or GPRS beside the network bars on our old phones when we browse the internet, around that same time Seun Osewa launched Nairaland

Around 2004-2007, mobile mobile internet technology communication in Nigeria moved to 2.75G. Then, we noticed E which means EDGE beside the network bars on our phones

Around 2007-2011, mobile mobile internet technology communication in Nigeria moved to 3G. Then, we noticed 3G which means 3rd Generation beside the network bars on our phones

Around 2010-2013, mobile mobile internet technology communication in Nigeria moved to 3.5G. Then, we noticed H which means HSPA beside the network bars on our phones

Around 2012-2015, mobile mobile internet technology communication in Nigeria moved to 3.75G. Then, we noticed H+ which means High Speed Packet Access beside the network bars on our phones

from 2015 to date, Nigeria launched 4G LTE with our GSM network providers now telling us to buy 4G enabled phones and in some cases, many us bought new sim cards.

In Nigeria, the journey has been from
2G to 2.5G, to 2.75G, to 3G, to 3.5G and now to 4G LTE
While 4G LTE is yet to be available in many states and localities in Nigeria, many countries moved to 4.5G LTE Advanced Pro, which was even faster than 4G.

To be honest, the 4G LTE in Nigeria can't be compared with 4G LTE in some developed countries. Our 4G LTE still has same internet speed with 3.5G of some countries, this is why it seldom take 'ages' for us to open some pages or even some images shared with us on Whatsapp. Many of our 4G can't even stream 144p videos on youtube or even enjoy NETFLIX as we should.

While I was in Paris(France) for the Christmas holiday in December, 2019 the free Wifi available in our apartment was from Orange Telecom and it operated on 4.5G LTE Advanced Pro. The speed was super fast and we enjoyed streaming seamlessly.

I am posting now, using GLO 4G LTE and it is super frustrating. It is slow and not encouraging

5G is a generation currently under development. It denotes the next major phase of mobile telecommunications standards beyond the current 4G/IMT-Advanced standards.

NGMN Alliance or Next Generation Mobile Networks Alliance define 5G network requirements as:

Data rates of several tens of Mb/s should be supported for tens of thousands of users.
1 Gbit/s to be offered, simultaneously to tens of workers on the same office floor.
Several hundreds of thousands of simultaneous connections to be supported for massive sensor deployments.
Spectral efficiency should be significantly enhanced compared to 4G.
Coverage should be improved.
Signalling efficiency enhanced.
Latency should be significantly reduced compared to LTE

January 1st to December 31st = 12 months (365/366 days)

Now, in Op's case, he moved in on 19th of April so his rent should expire on the 18th of April... his rent didn't start from the first day of the month, so his rent ought to expire a day before the day he paid the previous year i.e 12 full months or 365/366 days.
Don't mind the people displaying ignorance.

A calendar year is 12 months or 365 days, irrespective on the day in the month it commenced.

1st February to 31st January the next year makes 365 days

2nd March, 2019 to 1st March, 2020 makes 365 days

Assuming your tenancy commenced on 1/04/2019 it would expire on 31/3/2020, that's 365 days, but because 2020 is a leap year, one extra day (February 29th) is added. But in every year not a leap year, it's 365 days.

Funny thing is that I used my tie yesterday.

Forgot to use sanitizer on my hands before leaving the office to the ATM and had to use my tie grin

First time 6months UK visit visa applicant with self service

Application was to go preparatory course in April 2020 and exam in May 2020 all in UK.

Materials uploaded online :
1.7 months payslip and account statement (opening of 20k closing of 1.4M)
2.Letter of introduction to British Deputy High Commissioner office for both the preparatory course and the exam
3.Visa support letters from the exam body in UK
4.House rent transfer receipt and nepa bill
5.Letter from my pension manager and stockbroker
6.Spouce visa support letter
7. Family pictures, children school fees receipts and their results
8. Land documents and car documents
9. Flight reservations for both travels (April and May 2020)....though they already expired
10. Hostel accommodation in UK (free cancellation policy) for both travels in April and May....still current until yesterday I cancelled them since I was travelling again due to Coronavirus
11. Cover letter stating my traveling in April for the preparatory course , coming back, then travelling again in May for the exam. ...because both were 42 days apart and my office cannot great me to stay in uk that long since am not in annual leave.

Finances :
Salary 468k,
disposable income 400k.....spent 68k for family upkeep while wife (lecturer) contributes 30k from her salary. ...she also stated it in her letter & also to happily stay with the children while I travel

Total cost of travelling in April . ..360k.....3 days

Total cost of travelling in May....400k........4 days

I told ECO that both cost of travels was 760k which is still below my 2 months disposable income of N800k and I still have a balance of about N600k after all the travels. Also my investments, pension and land documents.

Timeline :
My application was submitted online on 3rd March 2020 in ikeja TLS centre ( i wanted to do priority appointment of about N145k because it was closed to my traveling date. ....but on further advise, I chose standard appointment of about 45k...with hope of getting the visa exactly in 3weeks time, so that I can travel on 2nd April 2020.

Biometrics on 4th March 2020

Passport picked on 25th March 2020...exactly 3 weeks after biometrics with 6 months visa application granted starting from June to December 2020

My travel dates were April 2020 and May 2020

Due to Coronavirus pandemic. ...my preparatory course and exam was shifted by the exam body to possibly September 2020

I was seriously worried because it will affect my travel if I get visa with validity from March 2020.

I sent mail to uk visa office 2 weeks ago that my purpose of visa application has been shifted to possibly September 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic , that i will if I will be given the visa, It should start by August 2020, because given me visa from March 2020 may be expired before I travel and this may make me apply for another visa again.
After 48hours, I got response from UK visa office that there is nothing they can do about it.
I left everything to God in prayers.

I got my passport today exactly 3 weeks after biometrics with 6 months visa application granted starting from June to December 2020.....meaning I will still do all my intended travels after the Coronavirus pandemic is curtailed.

Maybe God touched the ECO heart to re-adjust the visa validity dates.

Thank you all again.
That's great

My cousin is having her wedding in April, which is why we applied, but she had to postpone till summer
