I'm using Stargold two ways, but it seems its malfunction already.

Noticed from last night that the signal quality started dropping on its own. Had to check if it was raining, checked the diseqc, checked the coaxial cable but still doing same thing.

I'm thinking of changing it. While watching, after 30 seconds, I'll see signal weak. After 10 secs, it come back full and continue doing that till now.

I decided to experiment.

By default, the LNB power on the blue Background Decoder is 13v/18v.

I changed to 18v, then it became stable.

After 2 hours, all channels went again to signal weak, I then had to return LNB power to 13v/18v, and most of them are back on.

The LNB needs replacement

It's past 10:00pm and this Horizontal TP on 9e has reduced and now freezing/skipping badly.

Earlier in the day, it was around 61/62% but now it's 59/60%

That's Vertical TPs.

Drop from 12:00am midnight till around 1:00pm next day and then it start picking up

Horizontal is fine during the day and starts dropping at Night

Let me explain it to you.

There's no way there wouldn't be signal drop on fringe satellites. It may not be complete loss, but there must surely be drop, as explained above by Odilibe.

You have 4.4m
I have 4m.

On your 4.4m a TP on Horizontal may be 80%
On my 4m a TP on Horizontal may be 72%
From 7:00pm, the TP would normally drop from your 80% to about 75% but because 75% is still high, you would not notice any difference in signal quality

From 7:00pm, the TP would normally drop from my 72% to about 67%. Because 67% is not high enough, I would notice difference in signal quality, as it would freeze or crack.

Vertical TPs increases at night, while Horizontal TPs does the opposite.

Your dish is big, hence you may not notice the difference.

Check the two TPs today from 7-9:00pm and revert back

While I agree on one hand, why does the opposite happen with Vertical TPs? They seem to improve from 5:00pm till 10:00pm and start freezing from 10:00pm till mid day next day

Diseqc is even known to drop signal by some percentages
Direct cable from Lnb to decoder boosts better than using proxy, but in a situation that you have multiple dishes/Satellites with over 6 cables, you can't do without diSeqc switch.

As he said, there's just one decoder good for 9e and that decoder is notorious for dropping Signal.

3.5m upwards is good for 9e. With my 4m I'm good with 9e, no complaints. But there are limited sporting options on 9e and they cover just 3 leagues. EPL, Spanish and Bundesliga.

Hotbird on the other hand covers almost all leagues, Serie A, Ligue 1, etc but you need 4.4m dish upwards to enjoy all TPs.

Horizontal TPs are notorious for signal quality reduction at night, while Vertical does the opposite. There are more Horizontal TPs channels on Hotbird

The Federal Government has ended Multichoice’s exclusive rights in broadcasting sporting events in the country following a statement issued by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

Special Assistant to the President (Media), Office of the Minister of Information and Culture, Segun Adeyemi made the statement available to newsmen.

Consequently it has directed the National Broadcasting Commission to immediately implement measures aimed at sanitising and re-positioning the industry.

“This regulation prevents the misuse of monopoly or market power or anti-competitive and unfair practices by a foreign or local broadcaster to suppress other local broadcasters in the television and radio markets.

“This is so, having removed exclusivity from all content in Nigeria and mandated the sharing of all content upon the payment of commercially viable fees,” he said.

Mohammed said the new regulation is contained in the report of the committee which he set up to work out the modalities for implementing the recommendations approved by President Muhammadu Buhari to re-position the broadcast industry.

The minister inaugurated the NBC Reform Implementation Committee on Oct. 10, 2019 and the committee chaired by Prof. Armstrong Idachaba submitted its report on Nov. 19 the same year.

The minister stressed that the break-in monopoly will boost reach and also maximise utilization by all broadcasters of premium content, in order to grow their platforms and investment in other content.

It would be recalled that Mohammed, last year, said that the Federal Government was determined to end all forms of monopoly in broadcasting because “it is detrimental to the actualization of the immense potential in the industry

Also is 4.4m Fibre dish enough to pull down eleven sport and canal sports Poland on 13e hotbird. Just got an offer for the 4.4m Fibre dish

Ensure no contour and very well constructed.

The one I'm using now was purchased last October, but because it was delivered in the night, has some contours, which may affect signal.

Eleven Sport 4 and Canal +Sport are very stubborn channels.

I'm having issues with 11 sports 1-3 and Canal Sports 2, while my Eleven Sport 4 doesn't come up at all.

Some TPs are very stubborn, while others are cool on 4m

Good evening guys.

I need suggestion on this.

The best ku band Lnb for fringe Satellites like 9e and Hotbird 13e on refurbished 4m dish.

Presently using Star Gold 2 way (the high end) but the Horizontal TPs still disappears from 7:00pm.

Don't know how invertor Black would perform but I'm ready to experiment on LNB provided it's original.

Similarly, which diseqc 8 way is the best? Most of these China products are failing already and affecting signal

Very well deserved.

Only kids that just started watching football from the last Afcon can claim Hakimi doesn't deserve this. Watch his performances for BVB in the bundesliga and champions league first before commenting rubbish.

Hakimi is very versatile. Played right back, Left back, Right wing and Left wing for BVB and performed very well.

Watch BVB vs Inter Milan and see how he finished Inter.

Did same with my family.

After getting Schengen visa in November, we applied for the E visa and we're granted.

Spent 3 days in Istanbul and moved to Paris for the Christmas.

They did well with such arrangement
