Brov,

I'm in the same boat. Kindly PM me too as per how you got the exemption from statutory insurance via TK. It's quite urgent.

Thanks!

P.S: Also, my school is in Bavaria
Revman:

That's nice smiley...thanks for replying smiley.

I booked for appointment on the 18th of July, my AL came on the 16th. I am yet to get an AD, still hopeful and waiting.

I got the exemption letter from the TK guy that I found on my school FAQs section. He sent it to me after I applied for statutory Insurance and he realized that I don't qualify for it.

I will pm you now.

Bro I need to talk to you on this insurance ish urgently.
Kindly help with your contact (email or phone)
Ayobami2001:
Yes the insurance is valid

You are to block €10425 with Fintiba +. The Fintiba + comes with free travel health Mawista insurance and DAK government health insurance you pay for monthly.

Travel / Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Davudu: 2:12am On Aug 25, 2020
I would advise you do not upgrade to Fintiba+ unless you have the funds to block available. The + is for insurance but you won't be issues documents for enrollment/visa interview until you block the account. Just pay for insurance with Mawista, they'll issue you the docs you need in a matter of days. But if you already have the funds to block your Fintiba account then it's all good you can upgrade to plus. It's probably cheaper in the long run.

manniecobham:
Hi people, please I want to be sure of something. The blocked account with Fintiba, what’s the difference with Fintiba+ account and is the health insurance from Fintiba valid?
For clarity, pls who has paid the blocked account funds before? I saw I am to block about £10521 isn’t that too much or its because of the fintiba+.
I thought I should just check everything with Fintiba

Still tryna get the hang of this nairaland pm thing but I'm guessing they'll send you a mail on by behalf and we can take it from there. My major concern is about Sponsorship letter, then other small issues. A lot gets lost in translation and "chaos" here, hence my request.
Would expect your mail. Mine is udochux@yahoo.com. Thank you!

Send a pm. Though I prefer you ask your question here for the benefit of others.

SOME COMMON MISTAKES PEOPLE MAKE WHEN APPLYING TO GERMAN SCHOOLS

Disclaimer: This is just on my experience so far on this thread, I'm no expert. Please, the bosses on this thread, feel free to add/correct anything. This is just to aid prospective applicants to avoid such mistakes.
- Certifying your original documents. This is a big mistake. You're meant to certify the PHOTOCOPY of the original document.
- Applying for schools/courses that require tuition (and you can't afford it). Germany is famous for tuition free schools but NOT ALL SCHOOLS/COURSES ARE FREE ESPECIALLY PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES. Before applying, check well and make sure it's tuition free before you apply. if you're searching on daad, there's an advanced filter that allows you to search for tuition free schools. Of course, if you can afford the tuition, then this point is not for you.
- Applying for courses where the Language of Instruction is German aber du sprechst kein Deutsch. Please read well oo, make sure the Language of instruction for the course is clearly English before you apply. aber wenn spreche ich Deutsch dann kein problem.
- Applying for courses that give conditional admission. Typical example: you apply to a school and they give you admission letter but ask you to present German certificate for enrollment within a time frame that is nearly impossible to get that certificate. Check the course's website very well before you apply, make sure you can meet all the requirements for admission AND enrollment before you apply.
- Applying for courses without checking the requirements. In the previous part, someone applied to a school via uniassist without checking the cgpa requirements and got bounced cos the cgpa didn't meet up. Money and time wasted. Please convert your cgpa to German scale and make sure it falls within the required requirements before you apply. This also applies to all other requirements like English test etc.

Please let's be guided. Thank you.

Hello Adhheir , I'm writing you personally because I need help answers. I've been asking questions in the house but never gotten a reply from anyone. I understand that it can be rowdy in there and a lot gets lost in the chaos but I would need to ask a couple of questions because I see you always write confidently about these matters. My email is udochux@yahoo.com
I would really appreciate it if you could send me a mail about how you prefer to be contacted. Many thanks in anticipation of your favourable response to this request.
Adhheir:

Visa application will only be possible if you have their resident permit, else you're either coming back to Walter carrington to interview or the Abuja embassy if that's where you resided before your travel.

It took me 4 days.
Went to post office did the verification, bought a german line, opened N26, got my IBAN, sent it to fintiba, fintiba acknowledged the verification. Then my first instalment was in my account before noon on the 4th day.
