unfortunately, its almost impossible to combine work with sch, esp when studyin for degree or post grad, not to talk about runninga business which is breaching ur condition of stay

trust me, the amount of course work and assignment alone from ur master degree is enough to keep u busy for the whole time, evening during holuday, unless u rent bothered about ur grade.

but u can be running business undergound, like buyin stuffs in the uk and sending to nigeria, if u ve the market for it

hw ridiculus it wil be, paying 40kpounds for tuition, when there is no guaranteed job at the end of the day, for now, there is a debate about the worth of british degrees, when one in every ten is still unemployed atfer guaduating with huge debt from student loan companies,

lets see how it unfolds,
for now, britain is hell tough

i think about moving to naija, every second, but naija is not something u just rush back to, its requires detailed planning and lots of contigencies,

if u want to move back fully to naija in the next 2 years, i bet u start now.

when they say 28day, they mean, the money should be in ur account, and not dropp for 28 days, it doesnt mean that it cant increase, or u shouldnt perform any transaction or use that account any longer,

it makes more sense to perform transactions on that account, since its ur personal account, by depositing money into ur account doesnt affect the money since it increases it, all they want is that the fund is shown there,

u can pay in even as low as 5naira, just do a transaction, since its like u ve not used the account since july

hope the OND, AND TOEFL AD WAEC CERT, are all the documents u used in obtaining ur admission offer as shown in ur CAS
u didnt mention ur sch fees, has it been paid fully, or in part,
if yes, hope the amount u paid, has is shown correctly on ur CAS,

9000POUNDS in ur account, even more than the required 7,200 or 5,400 for maintanance, excellent, if it has been since july
what they mean by closing balance is that, a recent dated transaction , confiriming the money is stil there at not orj anuary when u want to apply,

it very simple, if u want to submit ur application tomorw, simply walk into ur bank, and pay in 500naira, into that account, and then u can request ur statement of account, from july till date,
the next day u collect ur statement, which shows when the money was lodge in, july, and anoda trasaction which was made just a day before, still confirming the funds

when u print ur acc statement, just for errors, like balance, errors like acc name just go through it to be sure, and make sure it is stamped by the bank

bear in mind, that they actually refuse people for late submission,

if they give u and u dont travel on time, they ve the right to refuse u entry at the port,
so late resumption should be backed with late extension date, just to be on the safer side

u might get it even within that two weeks, but on a good day, it takes 15 working days to process ur visa (3 weeks)

this wan wey u wan do, is basically at ur own risk,

if u want to submit ur application two weeks before resumption, then u are putting ur self in a tight corner,
but if u must do it, am talking about if there is no other choice,
then, make sure u ask for an extension from ur sch, maybe a two weeks or one week extension just to cover ur visa processing period
u can find it, if there are any special services to make it faster, like PFL and stuffs, i applied in october and they stopped the whole agent thing,

in ur own interest when turning in ur application by january, tell ur sch before u do so, so they can give u an extension, and u would write it clearly on ur form that u ve been giving an extension for late resumption, and put the extension date,
the sch dont ve to issue u a new cas letter, for that, they will just update the database of ukba,

i did the same thing, for my visa, i actually resumed 2weeks after, and was allowed to go in at heathrow
remember, the money must not drp one kobo, and i will advise dont go for exactly 28days, u can make it 30,
remember to do a transaction a day before u print ur statement, to aviod closing balance issue,

currently with the way britain is, it is really tough, so prepare ur mind that u might be returning to naija after ur study, and secondly, make sure u bring enough money here, cos, u will be lucky to get a job.

immigration laws are changing, and if u want to come in as a student, u ve to apply as soon as possble,
no miracle again for england, come april 2011, they might even scrap post study work visa,
the reality is, it is tough

well, i was born breed and lived in Nigeria all my life, i travel alot, and i studied both in Nigeria and just left the country last month for my masters in Uk,

the unemployement rate in Nigeria is alarming, NDLEA recently scammed 750m, from umemployed nigerian who were desperatly trying to secured an unavailable job.

we talk of major issues, like security that affect every human being, ?


the petroleum product u re talking about is heavily subsidized by the govrnment, this subsides goes into the hands of corrupt individuals, and u call that achievement,
in a decent economy, availabilty of petroleum product isnt a central issue, when the govt has provided an efficient rail and road transport system,

i believe ur CAS clearly states and showed the amount u paid to ur tier 4 sponsor
apart from that i think u shd be fine

ur document, all very okay,
one thing though which concerns is the fact that u ve printed ur statement of acc, even two weeks before u submit,
yes i do know, that the account statement must not be more than one month prior to the date of ur application, but there are better ways of doing,

if the money is stil there, u should do a transaction, a day before u want to submitt,
then request for it, the next day, by so doing, u dont ve issues with closing bank thing, and u walk in to the bank collect ur statement and go to the vas,

just an advise anyway, all the same, ur doc re okay, however, check the closing balance, make sure the money hasnt dropped in any of those days, and remember to print out an oanda conversation rate of the pounds equivalent.

also no need for prove of source of funds are attestion of degree cert, they simply must be the orignal copy, not provisional certifcates

forget if it is valid for one year or not,
the rules is submit the original document that u used to obtain ur offer,

if used ur original waec to obtain ur offer, as stated on ur cas, then that what BHC want to see,

better still call ur sch and tell them that u ve misplaced ur waec certificate they shud probably stated that te document they used to access u was original waec statement of result.

from what u said, u probably dont need to be a graduate to study ur course in advance diploma level, and ur school was certified with your qualifcation before giving u addmisiion,

i will say, whatever is on ur CAS, as the document accessing by the institution before giving u an unconditional offer, should be included,

if u havent completed ur degree, it simply means, u re an undergraduate, for simplicity,


if u re sch as accessed ur qualification, wit that transcript, it will be stated in ur CAS,
whatever, qualifcation stated in ur CAS, for ur addmission, is what u shud include, if u were given an admission based on that transcript, go ahead and include it,


ur CAS should state something, what exactly is there, as a means of accessing ur qualification

what he means by that is you should get original transcript of you school in your hand, the school can address it to any body, BHC or whoever,
the most important thing is to have the original transcript of your degree from you school, a signed,stamped copy, schowing your name, class of degree, name of awarding institution and date of award of degree,

now most schools wouldnt give u the transcript in ur hand, infact all school, so u might want to grease the elbow of whoever, is in charge, so they can give it to you,
better still, u might tell them to address it to whoever, and then ve it sent to your own post address, as if that is the organization postal addres,
the main thing is ve your original transcript submitted,

u dont submit it in enclosed envelope, BHC isnt interested in who it was address to, infact u dont need to submit it with the letter with it,


i submitted my transcript also,

anyhow u want to do it, submit orginal copies of your transcript, not sealing them up in any envelope, not sure what inside, maybe the school even made a mistake.

but for univversity, i think uni of sunderland, uni of glamorgan, and a few of them ve feb start date,
not too sure of colleges, google it up and take ur time, sure u will come up wif a few ur self

cheapest and fastest way of paying school fees,
well, for me,



i used Air choice in opebi ikeja, they re just a travel agency, that sell ticket, do bureau de change and transfer to the uk,
i transfered 7,500 pounds in total,
basically, they ve an office in london, when u give them the money, they tell thier office to credit the account in the uk, simple,
mine transfer was done in 3hours, my school confirmed they got the money,
u can walk into thier office urself,
not sure i ve the number any office, but its opebi ikeja, just after the opebi bridge, before u get to the traffic light,


beta still, if u ve a domicillary account, 3-5 working days to clear,

PFL charges between N30,000 to N50,000 depending on whether they represent the school you are applying to or not.







i think u should check very well, and ask well enough,

as at october this month, using PFL or not makes no difference in your application in terms of the speed of ur application,
i was told that the contract with pfl and the rest of the agents have expired and for that reason it going take u the same no of days, even wif PFL now, its a red jacket, meaning ur application will stil be sent to abuja,

if u must use PFl, get all ur document, then go to them, to put final touches if need be, and make sure, u negotiate wif them, bearing in mind, that what u re paying for is just for final touches, u can negotiate to 10,000, or 15,000

also confirm from BHC how many working days it wil take u if u submit using an agent,


i used pfl, submitted on the 4th, paid 30k, they gave me red jacket, stil went to abuja, and i got my visa at the normal time, not faster

all the want is that 5,400 should be in ur account, for a minimum of a 28 day period ending no more than a month prior to the date of ur application,

ask as much question as you can from this thread,
try and make your application as simple as possible,
pay ur tuition fee in and put the remaining balance and 5,400 or 7200 in ur acount,
