You don't need legalized certificate for resident permit.

Below is the document sent by the embassy on requirement for resident permit

Admission closed since January....

University of Graz

You don't need legislation before admission...

After admission is when you will be asked to submit legalised documents and original certificate.

God came in for me when I was waived the legalisation again after admission..

Just to send my original transcript and certificate via DHL..

You don't need legalized certificate for resident permit..All you need is admission letter..

Once they get my original certificate as well as transcript..they will send the admission letter..

Emmanuelosa:

You can decide to look for admission before legalizing or do it the other way round,... Both ways work,..

So firstly gather all documents that is required by the school then also gather all the documents that is required by the embassy;
- birth certificate,
- declaration of age,
- letter/Affidavit of sponsorship (if you're being sponsored),
- police character certificate,
- state of origin certificate,
- primary/secondary school certificate,
- testimonials,
- transcript,
- all school cert.

Firstly take all your educational documents to the ministry of education, (WAEC, transcript, primary school cert. All school certificates,.. Then at the entrance of the ministry of education purchase a waec scratch card,.. Take everything to the eight floor of the building....(to cut the description short, you can ask around for help on what to do),... P.S Remember to request for an eligibility letter(its not always necessary)

Proceeding to the next step which is taking all your educational documents that you have previously authenticated at the min. Of edu. And all the remaining required documents, to the min. Of foreign affairs,... Then authenticate Them also,..

After authentication, take all those documents to the embassy,.. Before then, you must have previously downloaded their verification form(Questionnaire) online, then fill it and take it with you to the embassy. P.S: you'd book an appointment online using their online booking system before heading to the embassy on the date giving to you.

After you arrive at the embassy, follow all their procedures and get to the counter, submit all your documents and pay the verification fee,.. Which was 200,000 as at the time of writing,...

After that, wait for a lawyer to contact you,.. (it may take up to three months maximum,) P.S: the further away the origin of your documents are, the longer the verification time.

After the lawyer contacts you, and does interview for you and your parent/guardian, he will go to each and every one of the locations where all your documents were gotten from to verify them, even to the lowest detail(so all documentation must be authentic and gotten legally: because it can delay the process and cause you to pay another 200,000....

After the lawyer is done with the verification, he will take he's report to the embassy and inform them, then they will call you and tell you the particular documents they have issues with, but if not they'll set a date for you to come and legalize them,.. P.S: Even if there's an issue with any of your documents you can still legalize the remaining ones..

After you've gone to the embassy and paid their legalization fees, which was 80 Euros as at the time of writing, they would either tell you to wait for it that day or come back the next day for it..

After you're done with the whole thing,.. You will send your legalized documents to the school you applied to, or is planning on applying to... in any ways they request it(Email/post-mail),.. Then they will send you the admission letter.

You'd take the letter and your proof of accommodation, also get insurance from the recommended insurance firms,... And also take all your documents plus a fully filled residency form to the embassy,... Having booked a date with the embassy using email not their online booking system,....

Follow all the normal procedures again, when you get to the embassy, Submit all your documents to the counter,.. Follow all their instructions,.. Take your finger print and the screening and either you're told to wait for an interview or given another date...

After the interview wait for the embassy to contact you,.. P.S: (it might take up to a month), You can also contact them to ask for the status of the application,.. i.e: if its taken longer than expected.

They will contact you via email,.. For the approval status,.. And tell you to come to the embassy to collect your documents.

After you've gotten your documents back from them,.. You can begin planning your trip..

When you get to Austria you'd have to go and get your resident permit card,..

Going for Masters and will need help on getting sponsorship letter ...

How can you be of help

wink wink
Goodluck.

Travel / Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by dayohoo: 4:07pm On Apr 06, 2020
I think it’s already too late for this years intake.
However if you’re looking at next year, you have to find universities offering your desired program & check that you meet their requirements.

Masters is around €3770 per year in public unis but limited seats.

The private ones are from €10k per year & there’s always seat as long as you meet their requirements.

When you get the offer, you will create an account on CampusonFrance.

That’s where you will do your visa application etc. You can also apply to the universities from the campusFrance portal (whichever way that suits you). Some schools will also request for an interview before giving you an offer. It depends on your previous qualifications (grades).

If you’re going to learn in English ,you need IELTS.

When you get the offer, you will upload it on the COF portal & you will be asked to pay 50k. You will also need to pay your tuition deposit (if required) to get the official acceptance letter, which you will also upload on the portal.

After you’ve paid that 50k, you will be invited for a pre visa interview. Once you pass the interview, you’re already on your way to France. The main visa application will be to submit your passport etc. You will also pay about €25*** at the embassy for the actual application.

You will also need to secure an accommodation & get a certificate that you will take with you to the main visa appointment. Your school will send you the link around MAY for you to apply for accommodation. Usually through CROUS portal.

Please my school is telling me to get a code from campus France during application.

I will like to know the procedure because I can't see how to register as a Nigerian. I can only see other francophone countries

I got Partial Flemish Scholarship in Belgium with monthly stipend of 680 euros.

I also need to pay 3600 euros. The tution is actually 15000 euros but reduced to 3600 euros due to scholarship.

I contacted the school if I can make payment by 2 installment but they said no

I need to pay everything by March 31st

I have raised 2200 euros already.

I need help in seeking student loan that can be deducted directly from my stipends.

I have tried with some Belgium banks but said the 680 euros monthly pay is below the requirements for loan

Anyone here who can guide me on what to do

Time is running against me

Politics / Jonathan Govt Has Zero Political Will To Save - Okonjo Iweala by dayohoo: 12:53pm On Apr 15, 2016
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, former Minister of Finance, on Thursday, said the zero political will to save under former President Goodluck Jonathan is responsible for the challenges the country is facing.
Speaking on “inequality, growth and resilience,” at George Washington University, the two-time finance minister said the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) must seek means to embed savings in national constitutions devoid of political manipulations.
Okonjo-Iweala added that Nigeria was able to save $22 billion under former President Olusegun Obasanjo, which saved the country in 2008, when there was global economic meltdown.
Speaking on the Chilean saving example, Okonjo-Iweala said: “We tried it in Nigeria, we put in an oil price based fiscal rule in 2004 and it worked very well.
“We saved $22 billion because the political will to do it was there. And when the 2008 /2009 crisis came, we were able to draw on those savings precisely to issue about a 5 per cent of GDP fiscal stimulus to the economy and we never had to come to the bank or the fund.
“This time around, this is the key now, you need not only  to have the instrument, but you also need the political will. In my second time as a finance minister, from 2011 to 2015, we had the instrument, we had the means, we had done it before, but zero political will.
“So we were not able to save when we should have. That is why you find that Nigeria is now in the situation it is in. Along with so many other countries.”
On solving the problem of political will and political manipulations, she said: “That is the question that I ask, what do we need to do to these countries to save over a period of long accelerated growth.
“We need to devise mechanisms, not just those that are good technically, but find a way to either embed them in the constitution or find a way to separate them from the political manipulation so that these countries can survive over time.
“To build resilience, African countries need tools, mechanisms and it is doable and we need to interrogate ourselves why we have not done it.”
She added that manufacturing was also critical to growth in Nigeria and the rest of Africa, quoting manufacturing as just 11 per cent of GDP in Africa, and nine per cent in Nigeria.
“I do not believe that we can be resilient, except if we can encourage manufacturing even on the growth we consume, services, entertainment industry, agriculture.
“I think these are the kinds of questions that policy makers struggle with on daily basis and that is what we are going to answer to get resilience.
“If we don’t get these mechanisms, we politicise them, find ways to transform the base of the economy and create jobs, including  manufacturing, I believe we are going into this looming deceleration that is being talked about.”

Pets / Pics - Meet The Animal That Swam 5000 Miles To See The Man Who Rescued Him by dayohoo: 2:32pm On Mar 09, 2016
How animals could be grateful to those who have helped them, nothing is truely forgotten, either good or bad.

Retired bricklayer and part-time fisherman Joao Pereira de Souza, 71, found this penguin back in 2011 when he washed up on a beach, starving and covered in oil.

Joao, who named the penguin Dindim after discovering him in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, decided to take the creature home and nurse it back to health.

Once Dindim was well again, Joao released him back into the wild and did not expect to see the penguin ever again.

Suprisingly the animal swam 5000 miles to find the bricklayer and he stayed with him 8months. Speaking during an interview the bricklayer said :

“I love the penguin like he’s my own child and I believe the penguin loves me.

“No one else is allowed to touch him. He pecks them if they do. He lays on my lap, lets me give him showers, allows me to feed him sardines and to pick him up.”

”It took 11 months for Dindim to be nursed back to full health and for the past four years he has been a loyal visitor to his rescuer”.

“He arrives in June and leaves to go home in February, and every year he becomes more affectionate as he appears even happier to see me.”

The animal has since then been visiting the bricklayer frequently..oh how sweet

Politics / Pics - Iranian Billionaire Tycoon Sentenced To Death For Corruption by dayohoo: 5:54pm On Mar 06, 2016
An Iranian billionaire tycoon has been sentenced to death after being convicted of corruption.

Babak Zanjani, 41, was accused of fraudulently pocketing $2.8bn (£2bn) after a months-long trial which in a rare move was held in public.

Prosecutors claim he owed the money to Iran's government from oil sold on behalf of the oil ministry.

Zanjani, who denied any wrongdoing, insisted the only reason the money had not been paid was that sanctions had prevented a transfer.

By his own admission, Zanjani arranged billions of dollars of oil deals for years through a network of companies in countries such as Turkey, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates.

The defendant, whose fortune is estimated at $10bn-$14bn (£7bn-£9.8bn), was convicted of fraud and economic crimes, while two associates were also found guilty of "corruption on earth".

That is the most serious offence under the country's criminal code, meaning they too will face the death penalty - but all three can appeal against the verdicts.

During the rule of former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Zanjani found ways to channel hard currency to Tehran.

This was despite financial sanctions imposed on the Islamic republic's banks as punishment for its nuclear programme.

Zanjani, who was arrested in 2013, said he was tasked with circumventing sanctions to get money back to Iran in return for commissions paid by Mr Ahmadinejad's government.

The administration of President Hassan Rouhani has alleged that corruption and the payment of illegal commissions thrived under Mr Ahmadinejad's rule.

In January, a nuclear deal was agreed between Iran and Western powers which paved the way for more foreign trade in the country's oil sector.

Mr Rouhani's oil minister Bijan Zanganeh urged investors to deal directly with his ministry and avoid third parties.

Politics / Pics - Mugabe To Interviewer "Do You Want Me To Punch You To The Floor". by dayohoo: 5:06pm On Mar 05, 2016
Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has threatened to punch an interviewer who asked him about his retirement plans.

Speaking on state television, Mr Mugabe responded testily after the journalist quizzed him about a potential successor.

"Why 'successor' when I am still there?" the 92-year-old said in the interview.

"Why do you want a successor? Do you want me to punch you to the floor to realise I am still there?" he added, clenching his fist.

Mugabe has led Zimbabwe since the country was formed in 1980 from the ashes of white-

He says he has no plans to hand over pow and ruled out coaching his politically ambitious wife, Grace, as his chosen successor.

"Grooming a successor, is it an inheritance?" he asked.

"In a democratic party you don't want leaders appointed that way. They have to be appointed properly by the people. Succession is not part of our culture.

Mugabe turned 92 on 21 February, amid fierce squabbling in the ruling ZANU-PF party in anticipation of his rule coming to an end.

The prime minister of the United Arab Emirates has announced the creation of a minister of state for happiness, as part of a major government shake-up.

A new post of minister of state for tolerance was also created.

The minister of state for tolerance would promote the virtue "as a fundamental value in UAE society", Sheikh Mohammed tweeted.

Permit me to repeat this post:

You wake up early in the morning and all that is in your mind is Igbo people and what to write against them. And your own people are barely existing and some of them depend on the same Igbo people for sustenance.

You are not concerned about the diseases, poverty and crass ignorance ravaging your people. You are not concerned about how your people allow thugs to rule over them. You do not mind that criminals are your leaders. You are not bothered much that you can wake the next day to find your community wiped out of existence by some invaders. All you and your people are bothered with is Igbo, Igbo and Igbo.

You make up essays claiming to be Igbo. To you impersonating Igbo people will go a long way in adding some credibility and spice to your fabrications. You proceed to duplicate the same post over and over again in the media because your mind tells you you have not made the desired effect with the first post. Something tells you are chasing the wind. But somehow you think your misery will go away with such desperation.

You go search for more stories of those claiming Igbo for another round of ill broadcast. Your day is just not complete without mentioning Igbo. You go to bed thinking Igbo people because they are determined to forge a future for themselves while you fear to be abandoned to your fate. The same people you do not see any good in them. The same people you spend so much resources to castigate with falsehood. The same people you assure yourselves bring no value to the system.

Your over bloated ego and myopism have not allowed you to pause and have a rethink that the same Igbo people are better of than you. You cannot dictate for another how to live when you are barely existing. Your daily vituperations against Igbo people is borne out of frustration. Your desperation is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf. You need to help yourself before you wreck your life and generation.

Festus Bas

A CLARION CALL FOR US (IGBOS) TO RESTORE OUR IMAGE:

There is a dangerous trend I have noticed in this country and I wish to appeal to all well meaning Igbo people all over the world to stand up and help to restore our image as a region. Each time I listen to Radio programs or read comments on Facebook, Twitter etc, I notice that people who appear to be defending corruption these days are mostly people from our region. We are good people and highly industrious. We were trained with high moral values, and we're taught to always conduct ourselves in ethical and professional manner. Therefore, my heart bleeds each time I see my people openly defending corruption thereby giving us bad image in the country.

Abacha's son and some of the people who served under him were incarcerated for many years, I didn't see any Northerner shout witch-hunt.... I can bet you, if IBB, Atiku etc are arrested today, no Hausa person will protest. Dasuki has been held for some months now, no northerner has openly come out to protest. Over 100 members of the Shiite group were killed last month by the Nigerian military, till date I've not heard the Hausas shouting "witch-hunt"

When OBJ was president, the people that criticized him the most were the Yorubas. He openly disgraced Tafa Balogun and some other prominent Yorubas for corruption and no yoruba person made any noise. Bode George was jailed some years ago and no Yoruba person shouted witch-hunt.... I can go on and on and on..... even recently Olu Falae was fingered in the arms deal scandal, and the Yorubas have not spared him.

But anytime GEJ's name is mentioned for the way he mismanaged our economy, my people will jump out in his defense.... when did we loose our sense of morality to this extent When did we go this low as a people Are we now proud of evil All over the world, people are held to account for their stewardship when they leave office. Because if there are no consequences for corruption then the whole world will be like a zoo. Sadly, in Nigeria we are shamelessly supporting evil and making excuse for corrupt people. People who say don't talk about GEJ or dont blame GEJ seem not to understand the dangerous path they are taking our country to. This is the first time this is happening in the history of Nigeria.... PMB can also decide to loot our treasury and go and if we protest, the northerners will say he is past we should focus on the future.... the next president will also come and loot and go and this evil trend will continue till the country will finally collapse right before us.

I know that so many people will attack me for this post, but let it be on record that I spoke out at a time like this when some people are giving our region bad image. There are times when silence is not golden. Evil thrive when good people keep silence. We are good people and we must arise to salvage our image and restore National and international trust. Nigeria is bigger than GEJ or PMB. Nigeria should be more important to us than PDP or APC. It's not compulsory for everybody in the country to support the president or party in power, but it's important to criticize objectively. Be a catalyst, not an enemy of state.

God in His infinite wisdom inspired some people to write the Bible, He didn't ask them to write about leaders who succeeded alone, He also inspired them to write about the Rulers who failed, so that we can learn from them. All over the world leaders are remembered for good or for bad. Mahatma Ghandi, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, Nelson Mandela, Olusegun Obasanjo, Bill Clinton, Abacha, Martin Luther King, IBB, Adolf Hitler, Idi Amin etc have all lived and some are dead but they are all still being remembered for their successes and failures.. this is why it's important to always utilize your opportunities very well so that you will be remembered for good after you exit from office/earth. GEJ failed and he will always be on the wrong side of history (just like all our past rulers in Nigeria) so no one should tell me not to talk about him anymore, because there is no future if you don't properly analyze the past and learn from it.

When a child falls down, he stands up and continue running, but when an adult falls down, he will look back and understand what made him fall and address it before taking any step further. Wisdom is profitable to direct.

Let's not forget that the world is not destroyed by those who do evil, rather the world is destroyed by those who support evil....

Selah!!!!!

If today am against him is not about lie or propaganda. I choose who I follow irrespective of party. Jonathan tried his best but unfortunately his best was not good enough. He failed to act when it matter most. He surrounded himself with people of questionable character. I am not surprised even his so called God father (Edwin Clark) disowned him.
