The last competition they both competed in was the world cup 2006.

So Bring out the stats

Spain have never been in a world cup final. . . . .So they are not BIG?
Stop misyarning, abeg.
In 43years SPain played a Euro cup finals tell us about England.

They lost to Argentina via penalties and that was after a dubious decision by the referee.
I remember Sol scoring a legitimate header that was RULED out.
Against Romania, they had cramps also right?

Evra, Clichy and Cole are more accomplished than Lahm.
When was the last time Lahm played in the UCL S/final. . . . . .Has he even played in the UCL final in his miserable life?
Team performance are different from INDIVIDUAL performance. Carrick has played 2 finals Ronaldo Lima never played one.

Let us discuss Podolski's spastic return for Bayern.
Podolski, Rooney and Heskey would be playing for their countries not clubs if England play Germany so its illogical to use their club form to determine their performance in a National shirt.

Shit happens? The same ol shit that has been happening for 43 years? How can a team claim to be big without a final in 43 years

They crashed out via penalties. . . . . .Something they didn't have to encounter at the tournoi.
At the mundial they won Tunisia and Colombia, Lost to Romania and Argentina. Without the penalties they are still woeful.

I am still waiting for evidence backing Evra, Clichy and Cole better than Lahm

Then why Rooney + Heskeys goal return are inferior to Podolski's
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by dayokanu(m): 4:55pm On Nov 24, 2009
Form book goes out of the window. . . .
Barcelona were the Champions of Europe 6 months ago. Today, they are scrapping to get into the last 16.
I told you to examine Germany's performance in the last 30 or 40 years. That should be enough to make a conclusion. No one should make a conclusion on Korea reaching last 4  but consistent performance of last 40 years should

Forget history. . . . . .The England side of 2009 ARE better than 1998.
In 98 and 2002, EPL was not the best league in Europe. . . . . .In 2010, the English players will prove to the world they are world beaters.
The "weak" England side won the tournoi in 1998, yet crashed out of World cup 2nd round?

England of 2009 is great yet England of a year ago could qualify ahead of Russia and Croatia
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by dayokanu(m): 4:50pm On Nov 24, 2009
Evra, Cole and Clichy ARE all better than Lahm.
Based on what?

Lahm
WC 2006 Mastercard All Star Team
Euro 2008 Team of the Tournament
UEFA Team of the Year: 2006, 2008
FIFA Team of the Year: 2008

Give me the INDIVIDUAL honors of Cole, Clichy and Evra

ok sir!!
club form, Rooney was the highest goal scorer in world cup qualifiers. (If not highest, 2nd highest)
so where is Poldi in the scheme of things?

get back to me on that plss
dont run o
How convenient to chose a certain space of time?
Why not say last match for National team? Poldi 2 goals Rooney 0goal

Both of them are the same age, capped at almost the same time, Their position is similar in the NT, So their goal returns should be comparable

Poldi 0.53 goal/game Rooney 0.45goal/game

^^Sauron,

We all know Germany is a team for tournaments and not for meaningless friendlies. Check Germany's tournament records WORST CASE SCENARIO = WORLD CUP QUARTER FINALS

On the other hand England is a team for friendlies. e.g They won the Tournoi de France ahead of Brazil, Italy and France some months later they crashed out of the second round while The 3 countries they defeated progressed further.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by dayokanu(m): 4:41pm On Nov 24, 2009
Ozil your foot yet he disgraced all the English boys.

Based on what are Cole and Evra the best left back? Just because you think so?

Podolski, Rooney and Heskey would be playing for their countries not clubs if England play Germany so its illogical to use their club form to determine their performance in a National shirt.

Club form of Gerrard and Lampard should suggest they are the best midfielders alive but in National realm they are on the same level with Nick Barmby

Tkb

Boateng is young but definitely better than Rio on current form

Lahm vs Ashley cole = Lahm anyday

Marin/Ozil vs Lennon/Ashley Young = Marin/Ozil anytime. Ozil is the best midfielder in his age range in Europe. At the last U21 watch how he disgraced Agbonlahor Walcott and co

Podolski vs Rooney+ Heskey = Rooney + Heskey = 32 National goals, Podolski = 39goals beat that
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by dayokanu(m): 4:14pm On Nov 24, 2009
England if they qualify from their group would meet Portugal their nemesis while Germany/Schweisteiger takes care of C Ororo and co

England vs Germany would be a walkover for the Germans. Imagine David James in goal shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked Why are some countries just cursed??

---------------Adler/Neuer----

-Beck----Mertersacker----Boateng---Lahm

-------------------Rolfes

----Schweinsteiger----------Ballack

---Marin/Ozil-----------------Podolski

-------------------Klose

How can England or Portugal survive this? World cup and Germans are siamese twins. Their worst performance over years is a quarter final. Someone tell me when England has gone past a quarter final.

I see Barry, Ashley Young, Rio, Glen Johnson, David James and I cant help but laugh hysterically

That where clubs are different

At Bayern no coach is bigger than the club regardless of your reputation He still remains an employee and can be fired at anytime.

At Assanal, the coach is actually bigger than the club, even though he hasnt won ANY European trophy or any trophy whatsoever in the last 5 years. Arsenal is the plaything of Arsene,

Eastbay,

What experience are you talking about regardiing Heskey? The experience that gave him 7 NT goals in 57 appearance at a target man

Or the experience that made him have 1 league goal this season

In 17 season of football he has crossed the 15 goals a season just once. shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked

If England doesnt start Bent, Rooney or Defoe then they are doomed.

Check the NT scoring records of Klose and Podolski
---------------AGE------CAPS------Goals-----Goals per game
Crouch ------28--------35----------18-----------0.5
Rooney------24--------55----------25-----------0.45
Heskey------31--------57-----------7------------0.12 shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked
Klose--------31--------93----------48------------0.5
Podolski-----24--------69----------37------------0.53

Heskey-Rooney vs Klose-Podolski Same age, Kindly compare their goals return for NT

Does anyone still wonder why England havent played a final in 43 years?

NB: You dont need a big man upfront all the time I remember Romario-Bebeto(US 94), Owen-Rooney(Euro 2004) 2 efficient goal scorers

Sarebbe in bilico la panchina di Van Gaal al Bayern Monaco. Secondo la stampa tedesca, l'allenatore olandese potrebbe essere rimpiazzato dal connazionale Guus Hiddink, attuale ct della Russia.

Would be balanced by Van Gaal, the coach at Bayern Monaco. According to the German press, the Dutch coach could be replaced by compatriot Guus Hiddink, the current coach of the Russian Federation.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Who Is Better? Adebayor Or Berbatov? by dayokanu(m): 3:26pm On Nov 23, 2009
How can anyone make this comparison? Berbatov is the laziest player on the planet.

Adebayor is miles better than Berbatov. Adebayor almost single handledly led Togo to the World cup tell me what Berbatov has ever done to match this.

The Bulgarian FA even complained about Berbatov running 2000m in 90minutes of football

Most people dissing Adebayor are probably bitter Assanal fans

Adebayor has scored 5 goals this season despite the ban tell me how many goals Berbasuck has

ADEBAYOORRR>>>>>BERBATOV

@edoyad, Siddon look.

@Eastbay, Leverkusen also played brilliantly in the first half and Kiessling was a thorn in our defence.

On the balance of play and chances for both sides, a draw for both sides might not be too harsh on all
