In a rematch of last season’s last-16 tie, holders Bayern travel to North London for the Emirates Stadium clash on Feb. 19.

In accordance with Champions League regulations, the Bavarians have been allocated five percent of the tickets, and are able to put 2,974 tickets on sale for their supporters. With 18,000 fans already expressing their interest in attending the game, the Bundesliga club will most likely distribute the tickets via a lottery in late January.

And those lucky enough to get their hands on tickets for the match will only have to pay 45 euros instead of the 75-euro fee set by Arsenal.

“This is intended as a small thank you for the fantastic support of our supporters during 2013,” Bayern said in a statement on the club’s official website.

The statement added that the club have not only impressed on the pitch, but also through the “fantastic and loud support of its fans,” with the 2013 Champions League final and the 2013 Super Cup final listed as highlights.

Bayern have a huge core of fans that have followed them around the world, with their supporters’ group Club Nr.12 filling up two planes to Marrakech in December for the Club World Cup.

"Of particular note is the fact that a large number of Bayern fans not only go to the big occasions, but also attend every away game,” the statement continued. “That this loyalty is not only extremely time-consuming, but moreover makes a big dent in the supporters’ wallets, should be clear for everyone.”

Theo Walcott ruled out for six months

After coming off injured in Saturday's 2-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur, the Club regrettably announces that Theo Walcott has sustained a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee.

Theo will have surgery in London in the near future and is expected to be out for at least six months, therefore missing the remainder of the season and the World Cup in Brazil in the summer.

Everyone at Arsenal wishes Theo a speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing him back on a football pitch as soon as possible.
