ileobatojo: I have. How does that change the question I'm asking?
The question you are asking wont be necesary if you have considered it because Not only Polygamist make decisions based on their religion, culture and environment but ALL HUMAN beings which polygamists are a subset of.

You think Monogamy is right as a result of your culture religion and environment too. How about that?

horny4u: I am so happy....
20 years of being there....even if she was his secretary her pension will be close to this ....looking at what he is worth talk less of his wife and mother of his kids.

Ideas make money and spouses tap ideas all the time

More over she is used to a certain life style

I hate divorces though.
Does Dangotes son have a right to demand money from the father because he was brought up all his life in one particular lifestyle and cant live without it?

Let her calculate the amount of pension a secretary or someone with her qualification makes and she should be paid that Plus whatever the guy deems as bonus out of his free will
FamilyRe: Wife Says No Sex When Her Mother Is Around by dayokanu(m): 6:48pm On Jun 14, 2013
Let the guy carry the erecction to show the Mother In law

or ask the Mother In law directly that what is he supposed to do or does it make sense to her that her daughter is failing to do her marital duty using her as the excuse
FamilyRe: Is There A Happy Polygamous Home? by dayokanu(m): 6:37pm On Jun 14, 2013
@Ileoba

Have you considered that EVERY HUMAN man or woman every decision we make is as a result of the enviroment, the culture, the religion that shapes what we like or dont like?

if a human was born in the forest and raised by animals he would also think there is no need for marriage to be attached to any individual just cop an errection and shagg anyone including your parents like animals do

So women who grew up in Monogamous society majority would tend Monogamy, Those who grew up in Polygamy would tend to not find anything bad with Polygamy

baby_123: Dayo, fact is, they started as two regular people. She is entitled to this. If it was just one bimbo that got married to him when he was loaded. Spent 3years and divorced, then i see your point. However, these two started with nothing. Granted he got a loan from his father, which he could have easily squandered without sound investment decisions. Which i am sure she must have been a part of. She also has his 4kids. Not beans now. Who knows what caused their divorce. You know how some men can be when they jam billions. SMH.
You make money as a result of your skills and effort you put

How is she entitled to this especially if the owner of the money doesnt want to give you

That you are Dangotes son doesnt even give you the right to his wealth if he doesnt want to give you

What has she done or what effort has she put into making the money that makes her entitled to it apart from the law that says so
FamilyRe: Nigerian Oil Tycoon Loses £17.5m Divorce Battle by dayokanu(m): 5:41pm On Jun 14, 2013
baby_123: They started together, when either wasnt significantly wealthy. She has all his kids. He should have settled with her.
Based on what? Assuming the man is a succesful Lawyer he became succesful as a result of his own effort and skills.

Did they run a joint business or a family business? What was her contribution to the success of the business?

So having the kids contributed to the wealth?

That the law says it doesnt make it right

I bet some law somewhere would flog or even behead a woman who opens her hair Does it make it right?

MRbrownJAY: ^^^i know its been a long battle, it has also been a long debate on NL..... check the thread here https://www.nairaland.com/878081/nigerian-billionaire-battles-british-wife

the greedy husband is supposedly worth £1 billion, and he should have paid that lady the pittance she was asking for (0.2% of his supposed fortune) ..... and be done with it!
The fact the it was ruled against him doesnt make it right

Why should the man give him part of his wealth? Did she contribute in any way to him making the money?

What has she done or what effort has she put in her life to deserve 17m?

Messi is worth lets say 20m because he has the talents and puts effort, Same with Madonna, Same with Oprah

So tell us how she deserves to have 17m now

tabletop: This topic is interesting, for D̶̲̥̅̊ past two weeks my consience has been disturbing me. I do same to my husband he wants me to sit home ɑ̤̥̈̊Ω̴̩̩̩̥d̶̲̥̅̊ do nothing we Ђ̥̊α̲̅√ع quarrel over this issue of making me a house wife. Gives me 70 for D̶̲̥̅̊ everything, monthly I keep complaining of H̶̲̥̅̊♡̷̴̬̩̃̊w̶̲̥̅̊ things are skyrocketing I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ D̶̲̥̅̊ market. So what I do is to be removing like #500 or #1000, Iτ̲̅ depends but I can't kill myself or prostitude.
Dont you think its time to revisit his "Sit at home dont work rule"?

I think if a woman should be forced against her will to sit at home and do nothing earn no income then she should demand an allowance commensurate with what she is missing by not working [minus house upkeep ones} for her own personal use

How would you be going to the man that you want to send money to your parents, you want to buy pad, make up, even chewing gum and he would be tongue lashing you

To each his/her own sha. if it works for you no wahala

As long as the man is not sitting at home playing video games and lazying around there should be no problem

jennykadry: Child and parent.....,husband and wife are two different scenarios. I don't get the logic behind you comparing these two.

Also, can you please type in full English. People like me struggle to read your post
Stealing is taking what does not belong to you regardless of the relationship

Two identical twins with same DNA can steal from each other, child can steal from father, Jonathan can steal from Nigeria despite the fact that the wealth is also his being a Nigerian.

If the husband packs her jewelries or empties her account to go do anything he wishes is that also Okay?

babyosisi: It is you that is a thief!!

Please you folks should stop using the word steal
I am getting upset
A wife can never never steal from her husband
The word steal does not even come near inside matrimony
No labels please
Can a husband steal from the wife. If you have an account and he clears it out or jewelleries at home and the husband comes home packs it and flees.

What do you call that
FamilyRe: **ee by dayokanu(m): 3:20pm On Jun 14, 2013
Does your wife not work.

What did she use the money for

Are there some people she has to pay for personal services rendered Like a younger guy or is someone blackmailing her that she needs more and more money?

How can you be living in your own house and still be checking your wallet before you leave home to see if your wife has struck again.

If you say nothing is wrong with this maybe until you go to a filling station buy fuel and put hand in pocket to pay and find it empty or some goods that can't be returned. How would such wife teach the children not to steal when she does the same

I suspect she is a full time housewife let her get something to do and make her own money so she can have a separate account for her needs after the house joint expenses

These men do not find it awkward because their culture permits it and its probably what they grew up with

If you were in Nigeria 150yrs ago these questions on this thread would not arise.

Cos everyone knew its the normal thing even girls are raised into that and Maybe a monogamous house might be seen as a sacrilege

Definitely all the households in 1850 cant be unhappy as a result on Polygamy. Its the idea that people now know they have options thats causing the wahala.

Sisi_Kill: That's the million dollar question.

Next Stop - Relating closing the bathroom door while peeing to why women want to have jobs.
Easy peasy

Some women find it enjoyable looking at men while peeing that they even take it as a full time job they dont even bother looking for good paying jobs again.

If there is a law that mandates it for men to close doors before peeing, More women would go look for jobs

Example below

More is better than less because if stuff is not less... if there's more less stuff then you might, you might want to have some more and your parents just don't let you because there's only a little.
We want more. We want more. Like, you really like it. You want more.

I think it depends on the mentality and culture

There are some people brought up to believe its the only way and its God ordained.

I believe their would be some Moslem and mormon ladies who would argue fervently in support of Polygamy

Fights happen even in monogamous families with some siblings never talking to each other for decades

My grandfather had 2 wives and it was my grandmom who went to their town to choose the second wife for him, She chose the young girl she could handle and wont become a problem for her and brought her to the husband

Nigerian President Umaru Yar'Adua, who has been in hospital abroad for the past 44 days, has spoken on the phone to key officials, a minister says.

Information Minister Dora Akunyili says Mr Yar'Adua spoke to the vice-president on Tuesday.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Ojo Maduekwe told the BBC he believed Mr Yar'Adua - being treated for a heart condition - was recovering in a Saudi hospital.

Obi insisted that Ndigbo were not and still not marginalised as claimed in some quarters. He said the Igbo were marginalising themselves . He lamented that it is only in Igboland that brothers and wives arrange kidnapping of their blood relations and spouses for money. He pointed out that degree certificate does not measure integrity and quality behaviour. He appealed to Ndigbo to support President Goodluck Jonathan.

PoliticsRe: MKO And June 12 Celebrated Only By Yorubas by dayokanu(m): 5:21pm On Jun 13, 2013
This is because Yorubas have always been in the forefront of fighting for democracy and justice.

When June 12 was annulled, The SW erupted in riots while other regions looked the other way

When Saro Wiwa was killed It was riots in the SW mainly while most other regions looked the other way.

When OBJ increased pump prices it was the SW who protested also while others just looked on.

When Pa Alfred Rewane was killed it was the SW who protested also

Same with when Jonathan increased pump prices

Look at those who fought the govt from Funmilayo Kuti, to Fela, to Gani, to Femi Falana to Tai Solarin to Wole Soyinka.

You see the pattern.

When the cabal denied Jonathan being the substantive President check those who led the SNG protest
