80% of income UEFA makes from club competitions is from these elite clubs

Have a league with Barca, Real, Milan, Inter Juve, Bayern Dortmund, Man Utd Liverpool

Another league with Arsenal, Everton, Bremen, Hannover, Sevilla, Tenerife, Roma, Catania and Udinese

While top sponsors would be struggling for the first, You would have to beg companies producing "Wara Soya" and Ola-Ola Pounded Yam flour to sponsor the Second

European clubs will break away from Fifa and Uefa and create their own super league unless the world governing body urgently addresses their growing concerns over international fixtures and finances. It would be the most radical development in the history of football since the first World Cup in 1930, ripping up the established world order of the game and seizing power from Sepp Blatter, Fifa's president.

The Guardian can reveal the background to Karl-Heinz Rummenigge's comments on Tuesday about a "revolution" for football: a European super league that would see the clubs seize control of their own affairs from the regulators.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jul/27/european-clubs-breakaway-fifa-uefa

The above news is less than a month ago.

There goes Duduspace hopes that Arsenal would become a big club.

As long as Rummenigge is alive, Arsenal would always be a small club cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

the so called ffp is bullshyte. . . .
big clubs will get around it and still spend money.
if platini blocks them, it will be a perfect excuse for the big clubs to form the super league they have always wanted to do.

take the highest spenders)real madrid, barcelona, man utd, chelsea, bayern, etc) out of the champions league and uefa would be as broke as nigerian football federation. uefa need the big clubs, not vice versa.
camp nou's name can be sold to the qataris which would fetch hundreds of millions to barcelona. . . .same as the bernebau or old trafford. big clubs will continue to spend regardless of the ffp.
I am saying even in the best case scenario for Arsenal even if Mao Tse Sung becomes UEFA president, FFP is about developing more youths? Barcelona, Man Utd Bayern, Porto, Lyon do better than Arsenal

Spending what you EARN without Sugardaddies? Bayern, barcelona, man Utd, Madrid, AC Milan, and many clubs earn much more than Arsenal, Have a larger fan base, have bigger stadiums, have better appeal to sponsors, Unless WenGAY starts money rituals or child trafikking, so They lose again.

Putting a cap on foreign players, Arsenal and Inter loses more than any club in Europe

So whats the content of this FFP that gives GAYYners any hope self unless they are just behaving like illiterates they are.

And like you said if the FFP doesnt make sense, The era of G14 clubs come back. I wonder what Platini would be high on to tell Txiki Berigistan, Beckenbauer, Fiorentino Perez, Adriano Galliani, Ferguson, or Rummenigge not to sign the next  superstar to their clubs.

They would impeach Platini via text message

arsenal fans should be hoping for a loss.
granted, arsenal's season would be tacky but it's been like that for 6 seasons. . . .but this would actually make wenger and the arsenal board sit up and do the necessary changes to completely overhaul the team.

an arsenal victory would paper the cracks like it has been since 2005.
gaynners should open their eyes and think of the long term not the instant Glorious feeling they would get by beating udinese.
beating udinese or not, arsenal have regressed massively. . . . .
Excellent points. This was what Proudly was telling Debo and co yesterday and they were on riot.

At this stage Arsenal needs a jolt and missing out of Europe completely would do it.

Most clubs have had something similar.

Man Utd in 2005/2006 crashed out of group stage last. That was probably what jolted Fergir and he knew Europe has changed. Gone were the days you would depend on Liam Miller, Barry Ferguson, Darren Fletcher Wes Brown etc.

He went for broke immediately copping Tevez, Hargreaves, Nani, Anderson and other multi million Dollar signings, Gone were the days you can do something in Europe without signing big.

Similar thing happened to Bayern we thought we could patch things up until we were 4th in the Bl and crashed to Europe, It was that incident that led to dumping our average signings and hoping they turn to gold like  Ali Karimi, Jan Schlaudraff, Vahid Hashemian, Tobias Rau, Roque Santa Cruz, Valerien Ishmael for  marquee signings like Ribery, Lucatoni, Klose later Robben, Gomez, Neuer.

Barcelona too bumped things up after many seasons in doldrums signing many duds like Rochemback, Christanvaal, Quaresma, Sonny Anderson, Giovanni, Okunowo, The Dutch brigade(Reiziger, Kluivert, Bogarde Cocu, etc)

Doing things the same way and hoping somehow miraculously clubs in Europe would go broke or all would have a major disaster to enable Arsenal win wont happen

Even if strict FFP comes into play, Clubs like Barcelona, Man Utd, Bayern, even Porto are better placed than Arsenal

Something has to change at EMirate and best case COACH has to change

Bayern appear to be in the market for a new striker after injury to Ivica Olic. Suggested candidates below. Translated from german.

Papiss Demba Cisse (26, SC Freiburg)
Was in the Bundesliga last season, second in the Toschützenliste behind Mario Gomez and has already met this season, again four times . Just in time for Olic-injury, he has finally declared his intention to change: "I want to get away Yes, I have the contract, but I also wanted me to try on a different level!, " However Freiburg wants at least 15 million euros for him.

Patrick Helmes (27, VfL Wolfsburg)
Perhaps this helps the old Bayern coach Felix Magath the native. He wants to have absolutely Freiburg Cisse and for that he could make helmet. The former striker was replaced in January 2011 for five million euros from Wolfsburg and Leverkusen to Bayern would fit well in the role of complementary player.

Mladen Petric (30, Hamburger SV)
His contract is still in Hamburg until June 2012, want to make more money with the Hanseatic League, the Croats, they had to sell him now. Petric has proven its quality in the Bundesliga repeatedly demonstrated, perfectly fluent in German, would probably also add well and entertains for a long time changing thoughts. One year before the contract expires, he should also be affordable. The only question is whether the HSV can go in its current situations such an experienced player.

Niklas Bendtner (23, FC Arsenal)
The Dane wants to leave Arsenal for some time, but can not find club that fits your needs. At Bayern, he was already several times in conversation, but it was never really serious. Would be bought for around eight million euros and is fluent in German, but as a striker type too much and too little Gomez Olic.

Carlos Tevez (27, Manchester City)
Wants to get away from Manchester City and wants to sell it. However, to the decreasing association lie down for at least 45 million. Heynckes said. "If committed, must be a top striker and Bavaria where it is now the one Aguero can play with us, but that costs 40 million Tevez will cost 45 million, the players are confident, that we would strengthen the, I want the players, there is not. We do not even pay $ 40 million. " A Transfer of Aguero is impossible anyway, he moved only in this transfer window from Atletico Madrid to Manchester City.

Emmanuel Adebayor (27, Manchester City)
City wants to get rid of the striker necessarily, but found no takers. Hired two years ago came to 29 million euros from Arsenal and Manchester was last season at Real Madrid. Also an interest of Bayern was rumored in the past.

Dimitar Berbatov (30, Manchester United)
Was in the last season top scorer in the Premier League, but is still only substitute players at United. A transfer to Paris St. Germain has been dashed , wants manager Sir Alex Ferguson does not make him - not even to the Bavarians.

Dirk Kuyt (31, Liverpool)
A guy like Olic. A lot, full of commitment and an absolute team player, Inter Milan want him as a replacement for Samuel Eto'o to get. Liverpool is still under contract until 2013 and is expected to cost tens of millions.

Diego Forlan (32, Atletico Madrid)
The best player in the 2010 World Cup will be taken for years in connection with a change, since 2007, but already he is now at Atletico. That could soon change: Galatasaray and Inter are vying for the Uruguayans.

Diego Milito (32, Inter Milan)
Would fit with the thesis that always brings Bayern players who have played well against Bayern. lap Bayern in the Champions League final of 2010 with two goals (VIDEO) and probably has no future at Inter. The five years younger Giampolo Pazzini is already there and Tevez is yet to come.

Didier Drogba (33, FC Chelsea)
Sitting since the obligation of Fernando Torres at Chelsea usually only on the bench. Chelsea wants to make money with it, they have to sell him now, his contract expires after this season. But: Why Drogba should do behind Gomez at Bayern? For the same situation he is better paid at Chelsea.

The excuse about guaranteeing CL football before making transfer is utter rubbish

Ribery Klose and Lucatoni left guaranteed CL football for UEFA cup football in Bayern in 2008

Ronaldinho went to Barcelona when they did not qualify for the CL and he chose them over Man Utd who guaranteed CL football

So that excuse is rubbish

If we change to point 1 and actually bring in quality players, it will be unfair to sack Arsene and then bring someone else and give that person money after denying Arsene same for over 3 years. Unless the board comes out to say they've always given Arsene money and he has refused to spend.

So whichever way for me, Arsene is still the best man for the job until we come 9th on the table
