Jah Bless,

Can you tell me why a Diamond Bank owned by an Igbo man employs 80% Igbos?

GO to any Diamond Bank Hall in Lagos, Ibadan and Abeokuta and see how Ngozis, Emeka, and Chinyere dominate in a SWestern state.

Logic would have had it that People from the particular area would demographically dominate employment in the region.

I have several guys who complain that in the Oil industry tribalism is very prevalent.

From your claims, I also know a Yoruba guy who made a first class and couldnt succeed at Tests and Interviews while Yoruba guys who had 2-1 and 2-2 from the same school got the jobs based on merit.

pslm23:
There's a saying "different strokes for different folks", so I can only speak for myself. My husband does not ask my permission before taking money out of our account. He tells me what he's using it for but doesn't ask if he should take it and the same applies to me. Do i consider that stealing? NO! I still beliebe
Now if he wasn't a husband but a boyfriend with question mark, I might be inclined to call it stealing!
You said "OUR ACCOUNT" By this admission means he contributes to the account and has a right over it.

Has he gone to your personal account, Purse or wallet to take money without you knowing before and what was your reaction if he ever did

The PDP would probably still have more Senators and the PDP would still present the Senate president

The APGA needs to establish a strong base in the SE first before thinking of bringing other regions into their midst.

Like the AD once did establishing themselves in the SW and were even able to win a couple of seats in the SE due to the influence of Polycarp Nwite.

Before OBJ used the Federal might to deal with the AD and split. Tinubu gets his credibility from being able to stand up to OBJ where many fell

Eku bear,

I would prefer Yorubas hold ACN, Hausa ANPP and Igbos hold APGA and make sure you control and these party define your expectations of the Center govt.

Then come to a compromise where you clearly state what you want from the govt not just a govt of PDP where Akala is doing thiief thief padipadi with Theodore Orji
I've got this very weird feeling about Orji. His performances alone as Gov still cause a stir. I prefer a Chime or even a Soludo to this guy. Even Peter Obi himself despite his party, I still prefer.

It still doesn't take away the fact that he performed abysmally in his state. Anybody can claim to be championing Igbo causes but that must be backed with action. If he so loved Ndigbo, it should've been demonstrated in Abia state FIRST before anything which in this case, his actions would speak for him rather than rhetorics. I used to like the guy back in 1999 -2000 but mennnnnnnnnn, he failed Ndigbo.
Soludo is not a Politician he is a technocrat, he cant do Politics. I dont know much about Chime and how "dirty and In-your-face" he can get. Peter Obi looks too gentle to be that man. It takes a lot to snatch power and "demand" for your people.

Orji to me seems more like a younger Ojukwu with his "strong head"

Onlytruth:
APGA remains the only vehicle by which Igbo can rediscover themselves politically.

Thank God for APGA.

I however believe that APGA will not field a presidential candidate (whether he will win or not) because Ndigbo want Jonathan to succeed.

That can change if we find out that we are being taken for a ride by GEJ.

APGA is a long term vehicle.

@abagworo,

I never supported swapping of PDP chairmen. In fact I was the only Igbo commentator here constantly agitating against their swappings. Just for the record.
Then all Igbos support APGA and make sure APGA sweep those 5 states, When you do that then you can come out and bargain that If you dont give us this this and this, We would take our 5 states votes elsewhere.

This I believe is the way to play politics in this multi everything Nigeria

If he is going for Presidency, One he is an Igbo man and I dare say loves Igbos more than most SE politician.

he can play dirty which is what Nigeria needs. Support his ambition, let him be the one to fight the rogues in power and later call him indoors in Umuahia and "treat his Bleep up" like we say in naija

They could have dangled carrot at Ndigbo with a V.P and, on getting their votes for the primary, will then start to sing another tune to appease the S.W thereby leaving a confused and divided S.E. Its all politics. They might never had wanted Ndigbo for the V.P slot.
Atiku didnt nominate anyone, and at that time The SE was closer to ATiku while most of the SW were and still romancing with Buhari and Ribadu.

All intellectual attacks on GEJ's campaign from ATiku was masterminded by Soludo. It would really be hard for Soludo to be dumped by Atiku.

They say charity begins at home. Orji failed himself and Ndigbo before his political career at the Federal level would've kicked-off. He killed the dream.
Kalu can be forgiven to fight the bigger fight, and later when the battle is won, You can settle it internally.

Dont let another group dictate who your leaders should be. Support someone that supports Igbo first and not someone who only look for his own pocket

But look at him now and what he did (or didn't do) for Abia State. I spit whenever I hear that man's name.
Personally I think Igbos should just get behind someone of their own that can hold his own Someone like Orji Kalu. I feel Kalu is bold and wont sell out to Hausas easily. His bad act can be sorted out in house.

Many Yorubas know Tinubu is tainted but just because he is leading the challenge on the PDP, His crimes are overlooked when we get PDP out, the we can sort out Tinubu and ACN internally.

Now every PDP contestant takes the SE votes for granted. E.g if Jonathan is worried about any part of the country voting for him he would think Far North and SW first.

If they ask him "What about SE, I am sre he would say I have that settled, No wahala"

Calm down. No need to regret anything. We just need to know what we get from a GEJ presidency as a majority group that support him.

If he does not give us something tangible, we dump him. Simple.

Ask yourself Do you think GEJ's govt would change anything about Nigeria or even the position of Igbos in the Polity?

Aside a few crumbs like Special Assistant on Diaspora affairs.

I have said it, If the SE make themselves a voting bloc under the APGA they would be more feared and can make a bargain because their voice means 5-6 states bloc votes, Instead of following the PDP that as no plan for anyone.
