this was not meant to be a comparson thread but since you brought it up we kenya also produced the first female nobel prize Prof. Wangari Maathai an enviromentalist which infact has a comnection to tourism
and we all know that the richest black man in the world is a Nigerian

THIS LADY KINDLY GET AWAY FROM THIS THREAD AND ALLOW US TO ENJOY THIS EXPEDTION. I HAVE BEEN TO KENYA ON TWO OCCASIONS AND THE MEMORIES LINGER TILL DATE.DONT BRING UP NIGERIA HERE AGAIN AS NIGERIA IS THE BLACK SHEEP OF AFRICA. INFACT NIGERIA IS A BIG poo.
You open your mouth with no meaningful contribution and value to Nigeria on a platform created by an innovative Nigerian.

You are the real poo, go add value to your life and be a blessing to Nigeria

There will always be comparison cheesy
You want a comparison, then do it rightly.

Should we a create a thread comparing Kenya to Nigeria, it wont be bias, we will compare in;
1. Tourism
2. Achievements
3. Economic power
4. Military strength
5. Entertainment
6. sports
etc

if anyone is interested in schooling there, it's because their system is not rigorous like ours. Do you know the number of Nigerians schooling in private colleges in Ghana ? Did they see this thread ?
What about South Africa? Stop the mediocre attitude.
at least our rigorous educational system has produced graduates who have competed at world levels.
At least Nigeria is home of Wole Soyinka of OAU as the first African to win Noble prize in literature.

Nice thread you got there, but you killed it yourself.
You should be open minded when creating this kind of thread, avoid comparison, and answering questions that compares.

We are diff counties, beautiful in our own diff ways!
That's the point I was raising.
I was enjoying the thread until he and some other non nigerians started this negative comparison.
What if a thread is created describing the beauty of Nigeria in comparison with the ills of kenya

Show me where I am "messing ours" other than stating fact?
There you have it wrong, we have been working collectively for years but nothing. Favt is Nigeria is too big for most of these presidents, only true federalism will bring the glory of this country to life!
You created a thread to show the beauty of Kenya, in that same thread stating dirty facts about Nigeria. How ironic?

You can in your little way promote the beauty of Nigeria and stop waiting for some leaders to that for you. Start by being the change you want

Oga, we know all of these, it doesn't take much to promote tourism by the government, but do you have power ? water ? security ? see even police are harassing people and you are talking about promoting ish!
Please acting as if life is better here. I have lived lived in Ghana for some time now and you don't hear of police unwarranted harassment! Like Tekno, Generator wan tear my ear abeg!
who are the we?? you might say of yourself but I tell you most Nigerians know little about their country.
Is it in the South where they think all northerners are Hausas and Muslims??
Or where they think the only developed city in Nigeria is Lagos and Abuja??
Every country has their challenges, it's an African thing not just Nigeria. You said it yourself you had to tip off the kenyan police officers $14 otherwise they send you back...Definition of corruption right at the door. You never even enter, dem don show you small colour.

Abeg, leave our country, we are not yet there but we shall get there as we work collectively to get things right.

no one says you should not appreciate other African countries, but do it without messing ours

More reason why Nigeria should be ashamed of herself...... All this and we are still stagnant..... Dollar is still 400/1, good education is more expensive than building a mansion..... Let's stop praising what should be condemned
That's another discussion which you can create a thread for.

See them promoting their country but you will only see Nigerians saying nonsense about ours
Most Nigerians live all their lives without even knowing 10% of their country. All they know is Lagos and Abuja. over 75% of Nigerians don't even know the history of their country.

Nigeria is perhaps the most diverse country in Africa and that's where the beauty lies.
These Kenyans and half Nigerians in this thread are speaking out of their little knowledge of Nigeria.

Nigeria is beyond Lagos and Abuja, you guys should pls be updated about your country and stop disgracing yourselves because at the end it all falls back to you.
Let me take you round Nigeria and you will doubt your citizenship.

You guys ain't know nothing

What happened to Nairobi, kisumu, Nakuru
You and many others must understand that each country has their selling points.

For kenya, they have utilised the opportunity of their wild life to create tourism attraction.

Nigeria is blessed with diversity in such a way that development spreads across the country.
Mention one geopolitical zone in Nigeria that does not have an attraction??

Lagos, economic capital of Africa is not for tourism, Abuja the Fct is not for economic activities but seat of government.
And it's far beyond Lagos and Abuja, what of Kaduna, Bauchi, Enugu, have you been to Calabar?? Have you been to Obudu?
Nigeria is a country where if you think you are a Nigerian and I take you just to another zone, you will doubt your citizenship weather you are still in the same country
or not

Nigeria is diverse, with great cities across the country. Something about Nigeria is that you can travel round the country and surely find something exciting in each place you go.

Same as last year with several speculations, at the end, the successful scholars are currently overseas enjoying their studies.
This year will come and go as well and successful scholars will be studying overseas this time next year.

This is your opportunity, take it.

EXECUTIVE SECRETARY, PTDF HOSTS VICE CHANCELLORS OF FEDERAL UNIVERSITIES—EXPLAINS NEW STRATEGIC AGENDA

EXECUTIVE SECRETARY, PTDF HOSTS VICE CHANCELLORS OF FEDERAL UNIVERSITIES—EXPLAINS NEW STRATEGIC AGENDA

The full compliment of Vice Chancellors of Federal Universities in Nigeria was hosted to a meeting/ interactive session by the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund, Dr Bello Aliyu Gusau today (11/04/17) where he discussed the new strategic agenda that will govern the training and capacity building programmes of the Fund.

At the centre of the agenda is the domestication of all PTDF training and capacity building programmes, with the implication that Nigerian universities will now play a greater role in the process as partners and major stakeholders.

PTDF Executive Secretary explained that the present scholarship arrangement which is disproportionately focused on the Overseas Scholarship Scheme, is no longer sustainable and therefore needs to be reversed, so that the bulk of the scholarship to be offered going forward, would be for training in Nigerian universities.

“At the moment PTDF has decided that there will be no more undergraduate Overseas Scholarships. All undergraduate programmes for sponsorship by PTDF will now be done in Nigerian universities. For the post graduate progarmmes, the bulk of that for both the Masters and PhD’s will be done in Nigerian universities. We are also open to collaboration especially through the split-site PhD programme”

He said the meeting/interactive session with the Vice Chancellors is to agree on relevant terms as well as gather sufficient information that will assist the Fund in the planning and implementation process. The Executive Secretary, PTDF made it clear that it has not completely jettisoned the overseas scholarship programmes, as it will continue to sponsor few candidates overseas especially for courses that are not offered in Nigerian universities and through partnership agreements with select foreign universities.

The Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission (NUC), Professor Abubakar Adamu Rasheed welcomed the initiative by PTDF, which he said tallies with the vision to collectively reform post graduate training in Nigeria. He described PTDF as the single most important intervention agency outside the education family that is intervening to build capacity in selected areas in this country. “No other agency in the last 20 years or more outside the education ministry has demonstrated adequate responsibility and interest in changing the knowledge industry in Nigeria….I want to commend the Executive Secretary, PTDF for his vision and his faith in the Nigerian university system”.

I keep hearing that fulani look like ethiopian and other horn of Africa. Since the media started focusing on this people from Buhari and his entire family plus Atiku and his family, plus Sanusi and his entire family, Yaradua and his entire family plu the the herdsmen they keep showing in the media, idk wtf started that rumor but fulani look NOTHING like HOA or any other East African group. They look like your typical west african group imo.

Anyway, good development.

Don't talk ignorantly. If he did beat his wife, there would have been evident bruises or scratches on her(she is even light skinned) and no way the police wouldn't have noticed that. Even the house would have been scattered or objects out of place, but the police didn't notice that, hence they freed him, there is no way he would have beaten up his wife and the police would let him go...because the police can investigate (not like naija police). At the very most they were having a heated argument.
Now with the points I av put forward, what is your basis for concluding that he is a wife beater? U jx joined d bandwagon to crucify him because he was accused of hitting a woman, with no evidence .. With this kind of reasoning its either u r a bloody feminist or a mangina...either way...much is left to be desired.
