SweetSoup:Are you expecting me to answer this question, when a sitting president call a region 5% then every decerning mind would understand we are back to the civil war era where the north feel they can Lord them self on Nigeria and most especially IGBOS that's why we are asking for proper federalism or Biafra by force. My fate should be left in my hand to decide not the FG Hausa/ Fulani man that's all am asking for and about the national conference, why is the North sitting on it or were they not part of the dialog and just because they are now president they decided to toss it away, why are Nigeria not demanding for true federalism simply what IGBOS are clamouring for is freedom to self determination is it too much to ask as a black man, if it is practice all around the would why are we scared of adopting it in Nigeria. @ 55 we can't boast of constant power supply are we cursed no good road, loan facility by our banks are exorbitant, no good hospital 90% of our drugs and things we use in Nigeria are all imported. We are not one when a particular region would clamour for the death of his fellow Nigeria just because they are of diff tribe then there should be rethink of our one Nigeria, when only the Igbo man is seen investing in another region while others anticipate war so as to steal what the Igbo man has toiled for years then there is every reason to rethink our common existence even though I know I have invested heavily in the North. |
SweetSoup:I guess if you know me you would wonder why I support my people agitation. It about all men not our selfish self as I say injustice to one is injustice to all. When after how many years and Nigeria has nothing to write home about then we seriously need restructuring so those who are willing to move ahead could while those that are desirous to crawl out of the ceasepit of poverty would be enabled irrespective of who rule us. For your information I am a professional self employed and seriously successful at my choose Endeavour yet I crave for liberation of my region and people. If the north are happy about there current state of there people who am I to say otherwise but to perpetually keep another region down then man that's where I have a problem. |
Drchristian:why wont you be jealous why your eye color look like someone suffering from hepatitis. |
Is that not portharcourt? |
god forbid with what we ar seeing now or do you want us and our unborn generation to starve. |
Enough of this Sahara nonsense When did the man enter that he just stole 5 billion naira. Just pathetic. |
SweetSoup:Shuuuuuuut up we don't care what you think we want Biafra abi are you New. |
I know this man as at March he was caught and fined don't mind Nigeria NDLEA they would soon collect bribe again and release him. |
another yoruba invented fact lies am waiting for the white man or an IGBO man (profesional in that field) to post something on this as any thing from Nigeria or yoruba are all lies. yoruba man lying since God knows when. |
omonnakoda:go and check for the defination of war befoore you open your mouth. |
zeusdgrt:God forbid me from imo join a minority a proud igbo man like me. |
though arm not proud of what he did this ikwerri man just thought GEJ a good lesson. afterall he had igbo blood in him goodluck should have traded carefully |
i support his confirmation but come to think of it why should we igbos choose GEJ an ijaw back stabber over ROTIMI AMECHI our brother from ikwerri. |
NOBLEDANDY: you see so because you and your ancestors know ikwerre are minority to ijaw you claim false sense of brotherliness this is a grand way of luring the chick away from the nest so it can be slaughtered. let it be known that ijaw want to carve out small ikwerre from the igbos so as to annihilate them then steal there land but sorry in as much a son is prodigal he still have a home or in this case a larger ethnic group where they com from and if ijaw people try to steal any igbo land what would be coming to you people would be disastrous a word is enough............ |
H patrick89:My brother can you imagine small Ijaw trying to steal our land because Nigeria together with allied forces defeated in a battle that took 3 yrs if Ijaw think they are strong and stubborn when Biafra secede let them try to drag an inch of our land with us and 2 days is just enough to wipe them as I said earlier am not interested in leaving side by side an Ijaw man for all I know I detest them with all my life and I don't want there land either but if they try to take our land then they may be asking for something else. |
Truckpusher:It's better you allow the igbos claim what is there's after all we are not after Ijaw land but any sign that the Ijaw nation is trying to steal an inch of our territory would lead to full invasion even down to bayelsa so stay off Ndoki, opobo, ikwerre and any Igbo group that was militarily and forcefully attached to you. |
zuchyblink:pls my brother dont call it oyigbo again it was of recent the changed the name to short change the igbos and grab there land just as that tonye bacaidiot was trying to do to ndoki people the original name of that place known by natives is OBIGBO and thats what i know of it since 2002 i went to school there in rivers. |
you are stupid to insult nnamdi Kanu. though i dont like his method but down here in the north you could see his message is hitting some nerve people and international community are beginning to see that the igbos are been marginalized they have come to realize that we truly exist and what we should do as proper igbo men is to fight for our brother in prison to be released because if we keep quite and allow the FG to kill him then what we are telling Nigerian govt is that the igbos are not really serious about there agitation afterward and thats how they would treat all igbos that comes out to air his frustration, so pls do us a favor just shut up and know that an injustice to one igbo man is an injustice to all igbo men. |
BARCANISTA SHOULD JUST SHUT UP AND NOT SPEAK FOR IKWERRE PEOPLE AS FAR AS I KNOW OKRIKA HAS A MUCH SMALL LAND MASSAND POPULATION AND CONTRIBUTE LITTLE TO RIVERS, NOW AM BEGING TO LOVE WHAT AMECHI(IKWERRE) DID TO THAT LESS OF A THINKING MAN GEJ (IJAW) AND DISGRACED HIM FLAWLESSLY, IT GOES TO SHOW HOW TREACHEROUS IJAW PEOPLE ARE AFTER ALL YOU CAN ASK ELDER STATE EDWIN CLERK. BELOW ARE SOME FACT ABOUT OKRIKA, IKWERRE AND PORTHARCOURT Okrika is a port town in Rivers State, Nigeria, capital of the Local Government Area of the same name. The town is situated on a small island just south of Port Harcourt, making it a SUBURB of the much larger city. The average elevation of Okrika is 452 metres. It lies on the north of the Bonny River and on Okrika Island, 35 miles (56 km) upstream from the Bight of Biafra. The town can be reached by vessels of a draft of 29 feet (9 metres) or less. Formerly a small fishing village of the Ijo (Ijaw) people in the mangrove swamps of the eastern Niger River delta, Okrika became the capital of the Okrika kingdom in the early 17th century and actively dealt in slaves. It served as a port for the exportation of palm oil after the abolition of the slave trade in the 1830s, but it was a less significant port facility than either Bonny (18 miles [46 km] south) or Opobo (32 miles [81 km] east-southeast). Refined petroleum products are Okrika’s only significant exports. The town has considerable local trade in fish, oil palm produce, locally processed salt, cassava (manioc), taro, plantains, and yams. The 2006 census determined the population of the Wakirike Local Government Area of the Rivers State of Nigeria was 222,026 The local Kirike language is part of the ljoid group.[1] Also spoken by some natives as first language is the Igbo language as well. after all this your noise fast forward to 2015 your POPULATION ISNT even up to 300000 and you claim you majorly own port harcourt. ABOUT IKWERRE The Ikwerre (also spelt Ikwere) are one of the many native ethnic groups in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. They are a subgroup of the Igbo people, although a small minority for political expediency now dispute this account, claiming their history was rewritten during the colonial period because of the dominance of the larger Igbo group. The Ikwerre are said to be related or share common ancestry with the Ogba and Ekpeye people (Akalaka brothers) .They trace their origins to Owerri, Ohaji, Etche, and Ngwa areas of Igboland. They constitute the majority of Rivers state, although there are other populations in neighboring states. The Ikwerre speak the Ikwerre dialect, a dialect part of the many diverse Igbo dialects,[4] and are predominantly settled in the Ikwerre, Obio-Akpor, Port Harcourt and Emohua local government areas. They are traditionally farmers, fishermen and hunters, but in recent times, the environmental degradation and urban sprawl associated with oil exploration and exploitation has caused a sharp decline in the amount of farmland, forests and rivers available for their traditional occupations.[citation needed] ORIGIN The Ikwerre are considered by a great majority of scholars as a subgroup of the Igbo people of southeastern Nigeria, There are several theories over the origin, and the strongest and most widely accepted one is the theory linking the Ikwerre to an Igbo origin. They would be descendents from an Igbo migration from Awka and Orlu areas towards South. Igbo scholars take Ikwerre as part of the Southern Igbo. Amadi, an Ikwerre scholar, says that the Igbo origin theory has some support even inside Ikwerre themselves, with Ikwerre would be descendants of a migration of Arochukwu Igbo, with Okpo Nwagidi being the leader of the Ikwerre tribe. Before the civil war, there had been dissident voices that claimed that Ikwerre could have migrated from Owerri, Ohaji, Ngwa, and Etche areas of Igboland.[5] But when Port Harcourt was conquered by Nigeria during the Biafran War and the Igbo people from other parts of Igboland fled the territory, a UN report says that the Ikwerre decided to claim that the Ikwerre were non-Igbo for convenience. The Ikwerre are recognized officially as a separate group in the 1979 Nigerian Constitution about PORT HARCOURT Port Harcourt (Igbo: Ụ́gwụ́ Ọ́chá, Pidgin: "Po-ta-kot" is the capital of Rivers State, Nigeria. It lies along the Bonny River and is located in the Niger Delta. The port was built in 1912, but not given a name until August 1913, when the Governor of Nigeria, Sir Frederick Lugard, named it "Port Harcourt" in honour of Lewis Vernon Harcourt, then the Secretary of State for the Colonies.[12][16]The area that became Port Harcourt in 1912 was before that part of the farmlands of the Diobu village group of the Ikwerre, an Igbo sub-group. The colonial administration of Nigeria created the port to export coal from the collieries of Enugu located 243 kilometres north of Port Harcourt, to which it was linked by a railway called the Eastern Line, also built by the British. As if I care about your reason. We all know idiabon her husband was actually a thief. |
If Ikwerre decide for to call their part Igweocha or anything, I will respect it as long as it remains their part. In fact, I will also move for the renaming of our (Ijaws/Okrika) own part if possible to reflect our ownership. EU is a body for European Country, but Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, UN is a body of make Japan non-existing? Same way it doesn't make Ondo, Imo and Abia as Niger Deltans irrespective of their membership of NDDC. [/ |
What is mr mere commissioner saying. Sorry nothing he says is taken seriously because he lacks such capacity. As far as am concerned a gov is even more important than him. |
SenseiX:Rubbish,Which people money are they using to maintain it? |
He's right |

And yet you are such a coward to let them go. What an irony. Wont it be better if you eat what your region produce alone, we Igbos want to be alone so let us be Mr biggest economic output inthe region yet you are scared of being on your own. |
Yoruba are funnily stupid how can you ban a title to be given out in Nigeria where the Nigeria constitution recognise it, freedom of association. This another stupid thread to massage the ego of this rascals. |
to hell wit where he comes frm! Wat matters is if he can do better than Jega! Am not an ethnic local champ. Wat is wrong wit u guys? Alws wanting ur brodas to be in position! GEJ was my broda too, and then ![]() ??[/]my friend in this Nigeria I trust no one for sake of check and balances let a southern inec chairman preside now a northerner is president. |
As far as am concerned a northerner cant be president and still appoint a northerner to over see an election. It should be the opposite a northern president with a southern inec chairman anything short of that is fraud. |
this is serious, i said it our leaders think Nigeria youth would continue to tolerate there excesses. nothing is working in this country yet they still want us to be one Nigeria, since independence till now no light no good road everthing is bad youth are unemployed, am tired of all this let Nigeria just break up. |
