If you listen to him, you will discover he never said that. It was a long speech. Just after talking about electricity, he then talk about he should not be re-elected if he doesn't keep his promise. And he put a Caveat except he gives adequate reason why he couldn't deliver.

That clearly shows he was not just talking about electricity , he was talking about all the promises he has made during the campaign. This promises include, subsidy removal, Exchange rate unification, students loan, stop of ASUU strike, electricity, etc.

It was a general statement with a logical Caveat.
I was surprised Seun of Channels TV was asking Reno Omokri same question without understanding the statement. That was shallow of Seun of Channels TV in my opinion .

You will discover At 22nd minute of the video, talked about solution to monetary policy. At the 24th minute he talked about health care. At the 26th minute he talked about oil and gas and mining. At same 26th minute he talked about electricity. At the 27th minute then he said if he doesn't keep his promise, they should not vote for him. Except he gives adequate reason convincing enough. And he continues with more campaign promises. He talked about respecting contract with businesses. He talked about taking a second look at the Petroleum industry Act. At the 34th minute he talked about removing Subsidy no matter how much people protest that he will not reverse it.

After watching the video prior to now, I re-watched just to ensure I have an unbiased view and what I will say is that a nut has removed from your brain.

He said "by all means necessary, you must have electricity" don't we have electricity before? Of course we do. His speech just implies uninterrupted power supply.

And then he went ahead to say, "a promise made must be a promise kept"

This is after he had made a promise of constant light.

The he immediately said that if he doesn't keep the promise, when he comes back for second term, we shouldn't vote him.

Simple talk. You might be a supporter of APC but there are some things you just keep quiet about; Some things you don't try to defend.

The real name of the group is not Boko-Haram. I've told you already.

Boko Haram was a nick name given to the by the people of Borno. The group on its flag has its name stated boldly: Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati wal-Jihad . Meaning , "People Committed to the Propagation of the Prophet's Teachings and Jihad".

How do they achieve Jihad? Through the imposition of Shari'a law. It's quite simple. The leader of the group has said times without number that they won't reat till Shari'a law take over Nigeria.

We are talking about the law here, not the actions of some violent individuals. Even before the establishment of Shari'a courts, mob killings on accusations of blasphemy have been happening, back in the 80's.

The crux of the mater is that there is no state in Nigeria that is governed by Shari'a. All states have a democratically elected government and law makers which make laws according to the constitution, not the Shari'a of Islam.

The Shari'a courts were established on customary laws to attend the personal matters such as inheritance and divorce for Muslims who choose to do so. Is the law perfect? Obviously not. But that is thier problem.

If you can't understand this, I don't know how to help you.

No Shari'a court has ever sentenced anyone to death. The constitution does not give them the power to do so. All criminal cases go straight to federal or state high courts. Go and study the constitution.

In their knowledge and by what their clerics have told them, Shari'a prescribes death for blasphemy and Shari'a is in effect in their states.

They are carrying out a law that is not in the constitution but is still a law. A law that is derived from the Quran and Hadiths. A law they know FROM the Quran and not from the Nigerian body of laws.

Not a big fan of Gumi for his controversial clerical and tribal excesses and links to compromised people in security matters but he is absolutely spot on on this one. The report went too far. The shariah law does not persecute christians or support their persecution. So why call for it's abolition? It has existed peacefully for a thousand years in Nigeria before incidents of terrorism which are extremes to the shariah laws, one of the reasons for their being called terrorists anyway. So that line in the report is showing favoritism for christians over Muslims, the same problems that you claim you want to solve. The U.S. had better not create a bigger problem for Nigeria than we already have. Since they predicted Nigeria's disintegration during Obj's tenure and it didn't happen, we stood united and we are rebounding today economically even against the USD, now makes you wonder if they practically want to use their own hands to disintegrate it since their prediction failed?

I trust my president, PBAT. He is already taking the right steps to winning the battle against insecurity where everyone shall feel safe where they are domiciled.
