Of course Coca-cola is a respected company. But is Tinubu's government a respected government?

That's the issue.

PoliticsRe: Ogun State Is Moving And The Signals Are Too Loud To Ignore by Dbegining: 11:16am On Jan 25
Brainy030:
OGUN STATE IS MOVING AND THE SIGNALS ARE TOO LOUD TO IGNORE

From bold infrastructure breakthroughs to shifting political alignments and moments of honour that reflect enduring values, Ogun State is witnessing a convergence of progress, leadership and evolving political consciousness.

The Prince Dapo Abiodun–led administration continues to earn commendation for its bold, visionary leadership in positioning Ogun State as a rising economic and infrastructural powerhouse. From the commissioning of strategic road networks across Abeokuta, Sagamu and beyond, to the historic approval by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for commercial oil drilling in Ogun Waterside and the revival of the Olokola Deep Seaport, the administration has demonstrated purposeful governance anchored on development, opportunity and people-centred progress. These milestones mark a turning point in Ogun’s economic narrative, opening new frontiers for investment, job creation and regional integration. Ìgbéga ìpínlè Ògùn… Àjùse ni.

Amid these transformative strides, Ogun’s political and social space also witnessed moments of honour and reflection as Olori Adebisi Olaotan marked her golden jubilee at 50, earning warm tributes from Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), CON, his wife Chief (Mrs.) Temitope Adeola, and the management of New Ogun Arise. Celebrated as a woman of strength, grace and quiet impact, Olori Olaotan’s life was described as one of purpose, sacrifice and service, with prayers offered for continued peace, joy and divine favour as she steps into a new chapter.

At the same time, Ogun’s political landscape is clearly evolving. Otunba Segun Showunmi’s emergence as a serious 2027 governorship contender and the steady rise of The Alternative have introduced a new dynamic into the state’s politics. With a message rooted in process, principle and civic engagement, Showunmi has positioned himself as a disruptor whose appeal cuts across party lines, particularly among youth and reform-minded voters. His resistance to imposed processes and call for a new political culture signal a growing demand for credibility and inclusion, forcing both APC and PDP to reassess old assumptions.

This momentum is further reflected in Ogun East, where politics is visibly heating up. In a strategic move, the Rev. Olusola Salau Support Group for Prince Dapo Abiodun for Senate and the Confirmed Mandate Asiwaju ’27 held a high-level engagement with Hon. Barrister Femi Ogunbanwo, the respected House of Representatives member for Odogbolu/Ijebu Ode/Ijebu North East Federal Constituency. The meeting underscored unity, grassroots strategy and renewed commitment to progressive governance aligned with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.

Taken together, these developments tell a single story: Ogun State is not only building roads, ports and economic pathways, but also shaping a more engaged, competitive and forward-looking political future which are driven by leadership, service and the collective aspirations of its people. embarassed
Ogun state is moving to where?

The most annoying thing about Ogun state is the fact that we have a lot of intellectuals and great men in Ogun state. The owner of Black rock is from Ogun state, President Obasanjo, Vice president Yemi Osinbanjo. Last year UNILAG graduated two students with a 5.00 CGPA. Both from Ogun state.

How does a state like that manage to have Fapo Aboidun as it's Governor! How!
PoliticsRe: And Now, Dakingari: 11 Times Tinubu Has Reversed Himself Without Explanation by Dbegining: 9:57am On Jan 24
The most confused president Nigeria has ever had is Tinubu. So much for someone his suoorters call a "master strategist" "a "first class accountant "

A man can not even run his family the way Tinubu runs Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Chief Judge Of Rivers State, Justice Amadi Replies Assembly Speaker by Dbegining: 6:27pm On Jan 22

This is the worst Chief Judge in the history of Rivers State. A corrupt beggar like Sim who has reduced the judiciary to a department of the executive branch. A shame to Rivers State and the judiciary. He has descended into the arena with the forgery dangling over his head. Once Fubara and his deputy are out, he is next.
All this talk no too much?

One thing im really curious about with this Rivets State House of Assembly is that the main function of the house of assembly is to enact laws.

Have they performed that function in the past 3 years? How many bills have they passed in 3 years?

PoliticsRe: ADC: Removing Tinubu In 2027 Only Way To Reclaim Nigeria by Dbegining: 3:26pm On Jan 17
Mubiola360:
I want to understand something here.
Does it mean that ADC wants to being back subsidy?
Abolish CNG,bring back ASUU strike, bring back Fuel scarcity, bring back increase in price of goods goods during festive period, abandone all the riad projects around the federation?,spend the increased foreign reserve back from $45B to $29B,
Abolish Local government autonomy, decrease FAAC and embezzle it instead, Abolish Nelfund, Abolish free technical colleges, Go back to estimated billings and abolish prepaid , abolish the swift collection of passport and go back to months in passport collection, $7B aviation sector generational debt paid to be retrived and continue owning, UAE to continue to place ban on Nigeria, Limit transfer to go back to 100k, ATM should go back to 20k per day limit ? Non oil should be continued be neglected and focus on oil alone,
We should continue to dialogue with Terrorist and not blowing them as we do now?
We should be unable to rescue single kidnapped victim?
WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU WANT TO RESCUE NIGERIA FROM THAT IS NOT BEING ADDRESS NOW?
To address what you have put up there as supposed achievements of this government:

CNG is not a reform or an achievement. Apart from the fact that the noise gas faded away, there are still not enough CNG stations in the country and it has failed to reduce the cost of transportation in the country.

ASUU has gone on strike 5 times under Tinubu.

Fuel scarcity has still not been eradicated under Tinubu I'm fact the last time, it was so bad that fuel was sold for about N2000 in some fuel stations and was still scarce!

About projects: all governments embark on projects. Infact if Satan was to be president, he will still embark on projects.

NELFUND is so stupid cause as of 2021, just the 20k that is given as monthly allowance would have been enough to pay the full school fees of students in federal and many state universities. When Tinubu came was when he decided that education should be unaffordable to the common man then used NELFUND to cover face.

FAAC is not an achievement of Tinubu!!!!!! The sharing of FAAC is by law! The government receives more, then, it must share more. Not to even mention that the intrinsic value of money has been eroded away that the money you're seeing being shared is just numbers. The 100,000 of now is the 30,000 of before Tinubu came in.

ATM withdrawals at N20,000 was Tinubu's idea under Cardoso and now the ma has said N200k per week. As a matter of fact, during Jonathan's time, we used our Naira Debut cads outside the country!

Tinubu still focused on oil! Go check the budget, majority of it is to be funded by oil revenue and it was because of low oil prices last year that the man almost used the destiny of this country as collateral for loans last year.

And there has not been any government that has negotiated with terrorists and paid terrorists more than this government. The girls that were kidnapped the other day and released you think it was because of sweet talk? "Oh bandits please release this children, their parents are sad" you think that's how they got them released?

And just to add, this government is the worst even in terms of security and economy. Inflation is at it's all time high and we are not even in a recession. The amount of money paid as ransome last year was the budget of 10 states of the federation. Madness!

Mr. Man, SARS is a department of the Nigeria Police Force and are under the control of the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. NOT STATE GOVERNMENT.

Peter Obi was a state governor. He had no control or jurisdiction of what SARS did or did not do.

Then why are people prefer to flood and do business in Lagos or other cities with high population. You think having sense is by going to school and speaking good English?
Go and face reality. What you studied in school is theory. Life educates you with practicals. If you want to start your business, take it to the afromentioned countries, mugu!
Person wey never see airport dey try banter with business man with over 16yrs experience in 5 countries.
Na nairaland and faceless forum dey deceive most of you young sycophants.
Just to correct you, I'm not young. Im well educated. Tha doesn't mean I'm young. Its not my fault you didn't attend good schools as a child. Cause sincerely, if you did, you wouldn't have a problem understanding what was in the write-up.

Secondly, what you are saying is completely different from the stat provided. You are talking about market size equalling sales which is not always true for all goods and all population. If it were true, Iphone would have a store in Nigeria because there will be sales. But that's not the case.

Again, what you are saying and what the stat is saying is completely different.

I don't want to insult you, apart from the fact that Naiiraland will ban me, I consider insulting you child abuse.

Bladderdash!! Purchasing power as in what??
Which what population?
JB and Cape Town that foreigners are selling chewing gums and sweets for roadsides? Makeshift tents and wooden tables all over the work ways.
A city with less than 10million inhabitants is bad for business.
You can't be portraying such level of ignorance on a public forum. If you know the tinyest thing about purchasing power, you'll know it has NOTHING to do with population.

Aside hype, what else do Bitter Obidients have to offer?. If the Devil 😈 joins Obidient today or affiliate with Gbajue, Obidients will automatically whitewash him as a saint and the saviour the world has been waiting for.

Give us the lists of new projects Otti has started and completed... Mba, they can't.

Governor Mbah, Governor Nwifuru, working Governors, silent achievers, no noisemaking, no media hype, no PR.

Ask Governor Otti if he has fully paid pensioners, ask him if he has started paying the current minimum wage, ask him where is the 54billion naira he supposedly spent on building 51 "smart schools" yet no evidence of a single smart school anywhere in the state. Ask him why he's running state secretariat from his private residence where he's keeping state's confidential information in his private residence, keeping security reports in his private residence. This alone is an impeacheable offense.

Ask Otti why the President cancelled his visit to the state over poor projects. That he wanted to use the President's presence to scam the people of Abia state. The President had to send his minister, Umahi to go commissioning the less than 2km road Otti wanted to commission.
All this plenty talk for people wey no know about your inconsequential existence or opinion?

SportsRe: 'The Crisis Has Been resolved between brothers, no Problem In Super Eagles Camp' by Dbegining: 8:22am On Jan 07
GanagiBitrus:
Calling for a player to be decamped for an incident that could easily be resolved, shows you wouldn't make a good coach.
That the action can be resolved easily or not depends on the erring player to acceot his fault and reconcile with hus teammates. But with people like you cheering his insubordination, that will be really hard for him.

Also, that sheer display of arrogance on a world stage must carry consequences. Especially that it's a national team. He's not just representing a club, he's representing Nigeria. Acions like that must attract consequences that ensure they are never repeated.

Do you think he'll try that with Mourinho or Guardiola and go scot free?

Stop trying to defend rubbish. Stop enabling rubbish. No be only you like Victor but we must tell him the truth.

If I did, i wouldn't be wrong. There must be discipline and mutual respect in every team if we're to grow the team. No one is too big to be dropped and no one is above the team.

You're just creating imaginary enemies in your mind against the team. What Victor did was wrong and people condemned the act. Nobody is sad that the team is back in harmony.
PoliticsRe: Does Tinubu Have The Power To Write Off NNPC’s Debt? by Dbegining: 9:11pm On Jan 03
Putindbutt:
Tinubu did not single handedly write off the debts. It was the debts NNPCL was owing to the federation and it took the agreement of the Governors of the federation and the FG to write off the debts. If you owe me money and I decided to forgive you and write it off, why should anyone have an headache with that?

Too many ignorant comments here.
You didn't even read the article. Smh.

Any debt forgiveness MUST pass through and be approved by the legislative arm.

Illiterates everywhere.
