Do you want to be a total master at what you are doing or be at the very echelon? Get in to you path and stay there.

One of the greatest temptation you will ever face and continue to face as a person, is the temptation of doing whatever is working for the next person or happens to be in trend.

This is a true temptation because, you may be going through your own process and become weary of it by the reason of it's seemingly slow pace as compared with the pace of the other person.

It will be good to note at this point that that person you are admiring his prosperity may have gone through his own process behind the blinds and is now reaping the fruit. So you see him now and starts dreaming of becoming as successful, not considering the fact that he stood in his path.

Another valid temptation is the temptation of trying to cut corners to getting faster to your envisioned destination.

Put in the effort now, do what you've got to do now, enjoy the process, stay in the path, don't try to rush things, rather allow things to flow naturally. In doing this you will grow as your enterprise in growing.

If you cut corners, you enterprise might grow, but you won't.

To be IN CHRIST is to be born of the Spirit of Christ by (or which is) the Word of God.

1 Corinthians 12:13:

13 For by ONE SPIRIT are we all baptized into ONE BODY, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

By one Spirit (which is the Spirit of Christ) were we all baptized into one Body(which is Christ).

1 Peter 1:23:

23 Being born again, not of corruptible SEED, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

The Greek word, "Spora", was the word translated as "seed" in 1 pet 1:23, and it means literally in the Greek, "a sowing", which speak by implication, PARENTING!

It means that God sowed or planted His seed into the one that receives Christ.

It also means that the Believer is created and Parented by the Seed of the Word of God which is incorruptible, and which lives and abides forever. And this seed, which is the Word (which is Christ Jesus) continues to live in the Believer! It is now his or her new nature.

1 John 3:9:

9 Whosoever IS BORN of God doth not commit sin; for his SEED remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because HE IS BORN of God.

The Seed of God remains in the Believer. The Believer is the son of God.

The Greek word, "Sperma", was the word translated as "seed" in the above scripture (1 Jn 3:9), and it means, "something sown, i.e. seed (including the male "sperm"", which by implication is, Offspring!

So the text in 2 Cor 5:17 is absolutely correct; the man or woman in Christ is a new creature, because, if he was conceived and born of God, then really he or she is a new kind of Being, a different kind all together, and of the same class with God.

Therefor, old things are past away. Yes, old this are past and forgotten.

If a new born baby is born into the world, he or she does not have a past. So also is the born again man or woman, boy or girl, that is in Christ. He or She does not have a past; I doesn't matter if you were a drug abuser or addict, or were a prostitute or a murderer, if you are now in Christ, you have been born again, and all things have become new for you. A new life!

You can and should no longer be held by your past. The you now is a different person from before, the old you is gone forever and will never return.

Even though you catch yourself behaving in the former way of life, it is not strange, just get into the word of God and keep renewing your mind, and in no time you will start walking in victory and in newness of life over those former habits and lifestyle.

The blessing belonging to the believer is of eternal value, nothing carnal, or of the senses, or earthly. Righteousness is one of this blessing. It seems to me as the most vital of all the blessing that we have in Christ.

Righteousness, and every other blessing that belong to the believer IN CHRIST can not be worked for, it is a GIFT, it is a BLESSING!

It is called the gift of righteousness in Romans 5:17, and as such should be received IN FAITH by the believer, not by works (or self effort).

A blessing or gift is something given by the prerogative of the giver to the receiver. The receiver does nothing to earn it; all that is needed of him is to receive.

If your boss comes to your office at the end of the month with your pay cheque and hands it over to you, he hasn't blessed you, he is paying you for your services - it was well earned by you, it is never a gift. But if he comes to your office the day following and hands you another cheque saying, "take this, use it for your up coming birthday celebration", that is a blessing; it is a gift, because you did nothing to earn it; you didn't work for it, he just handed it over to your of his own free will.

So also are the spiritual blessings we have received from our Father God in Christ Jesus.

Righteousness is the ability to stand before God without any sense of inferiority, guilt, condemnation or unworthiness. It is a POSITION in Christ not a DISPOSITION of our own doing.

It is a gift not a reward. It is a blessing, lest anyone would boast:

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Righteousness is not something you do, it is what you are in Christ! We don't try to act righteous, we are righteous!

It is in KNOWING that you are as righteous as God Himself, that you will be able to walk in the LIGHT of His righteous which is now your righteousness. 2 Corinthians 5:21 :


21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

We are righteous with God's righteousness! Christ was made to be sin on our behalf, he that was faultless and without sin, that we might be righteous with His righteousness. This was a transaction that happened without our consent between the Father and His Christ; we had nothing to do with it. All we need do no is to receive what Christ has done for us by FAITH.

As you are now in Christ, you are as righteous as you will ever be. You are exactly like God. You may say, I certainly don't feel nor act like it; well here is the thing, YOUR FEELINGS DON'T COUNT! If God said it, then you are it.

You see, man or woman is a spirit, that possesses a soul, and lives in a body; he or she is triune - SPIRIT, SOUL, and BODY.

Your spirit, which is the real you is the part of you that has been made righteous with Christ's righteousness. It is the spirit that is imparted with Eternal Life at the new birth. Your soul is to be redeemed or renewed by your study of the word (Rom 12:2). Your body has been purchased (1 Cor 6:20)and is to be redeemed also, waiting for the adoption (this will happen at the appearing of Christ, Rom 8:23). It is your spirit that has been made righteous in Christ.

So every spiritual blessing had been given you in the spirit if indeed you are in Christ, Romans 8:9:

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. NOW IF ANY MAN HAVE NOT THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST, he is none of his.

It now becomes your responsibility to know this things that have been freely given to you in Christ (which is what the renewing of the mind is all about), so that you can walk in them and see their manifestation in your day to day life.

Too much have been said about minimizing risk and avoiding mistakes so much so that it has become almost frightening to taking decisions about little issues.

In as much as learning how to minimize risk at any endeavor is imperative, becoming fearful about risks taking altogether will cause you more harm than the latter.

I think there is need to master the art of leveraging on our past mistakes and not only on how to minimize risks. I think this is a superior wisdom.

Anybody can minimize risk just by not taking any, which is very sad, but turning mistakes into milestones requires great understanding, and not everybody have that.

But you see no one is born with great understanding, it is learned by instruction, knowledge and counsel, which is what I am offering you.

It is foolish for one to be caught on the same net twice. Being taken by the same mistakes is never a good thing. For anything mistakes are to be avoided but when they come, which they will, you should learn how to receive instruction from it.

The only way for you to leverage from a bad situation is to learn from it. It is to receive instruction from it not just experience.

Here are some nuggets to consider:


Experience gained from past mistakes may not necessarily stop you from making them again, but getting understanding by receiving instruction from the mistake will always keep you from making same mistakes.



Learn not to focus on the things lost by the mistake but on the things you could still salvage from all of it, however how damaging the mistake may be. However severe the mistake you are making or have made may seem, there is still something there you could save, you just have to consider it deeply.



You are never the real victim of your own mistakes, others are, so be less conscious about yourself in this case and think on how the mistake you have made or are making is affecting others. There is something about caring for others. There is something about putting the needs of others first. It brings wisdom needed for fixing fences.

We have always thought that the blessing of Abraham that is now ours in Christ Jesus is material or physical wealth. No it's not. We've always looked back at the abundance of the material wealth that Abraham possessed; the flocks of sheep, herds of cattle and camels and so forth, and reasoned that this must be what the blessing of Abraham is all about.

But, the blessing with which God had blessed Abraham because he believed was, RIGHTEOUSNESS. Galatians 3:13-14:

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM MIGHT COME ON THE GENTILES THROUGH JESUS CHRIST; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

If material wealth is the blessing, then the wealthy man still in the world today does not need Christ!

"... that the blessing of Abraham might come on the gentiles[the nations outside Israel] through Jesus Christ". If the word "blessing" in this scripture means material wealth or riches, does it means that no gentile man or woman ever was rich in material things before the coming and death of Christ?

Does this mean that the unregenerate wealthy man in the world today have Christ, because it says, "...that the BLESSING of Abraham might come on the gentiles through Jesus Christ"?

It should become evident that this blessing is not material wealth. It is spiritual wealth. Ephesians 1:3;

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS in heavenly places in Christ"

By this, it becomes clear that the blessing of Abraham is spiritual blessing not material. Some example of spiritual blessing as seen from the bible are these, WISDOM, RIGHTEOUSNESS, SANCTIFICATION, REDEMPTION, and so forth; these are the blessings promised to the seed of Abraham that is now the Believer's in Christ(Gal 3:16).

So even Abraham did not enjoy the fullness of this blessing because he died before the promised seed, which is Jesus, did come on the seen. By this, the Believer is even more blessed than Abraham, because, the blessing pronounced on him was a promise which was to be fulfilled in his seed, which is CHRIST. And since we are in Christ, the fullness of this blessing belongs to us that are in Christ.

The fathers of old were dead to spiritual things and as such the blessing could only be revealed to them through material wealth. But for the believer in Christ today, it goes much further than that. The Believer in Christ now possesses the prime possession which is the Holy Ghost(Rom 8:23; Eph 1:13-14);He is the height of the blessing revealed today in the Believer.

Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the PROMISES made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

It was a promise to Abraham, but thank God it is fulfilled in the Believer in Christ Jesus!

8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

13 THESE ALL DIED IN FAITH, NOT HAVING RECEIVED THE PROMISES, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
