PoliticsWhy On Earth Is Ibb Not In Jail by dblock(op): 2:21pm On Jun 30, 2007
By not putting this Dictator in Jail, the Nigerian government is saying that it is ok to steal.

To me, the Nigerian Government is worse than 419 Groups.

Why in the world is someone like Babaginda still walking free.

This Evil Man is as bad as Saddam Hussein, as he as led to the death of Thousands of Nigerians indirectly.

The Guy has enough money, to solve Nigeria's energy Crisis. If he was rated by Forbes, he would be the Second richest man in Africa.

The Nigerian Government cannot be serious about fighting corruption, until such men are put in Jail.

I am not joking or fooling around. The fact that this man is not in Jail is the biggest Injustice.

People go to Jail for stealing as little as 100 Naira, and this Pathetic Life Form is even allowed to contest in an election when he has stolen Billions of Dollars.

There is no such thing as Justice on the African Continent, until such people are put in Jail where they belong.

Calling this Man a bastard is being too Kind.
https://www.arewa-online.com/ibb_2005_files/IBB-64TH2.jpg

People are diverting their attention to a rigged election, when the presence of this man in the election is a 100 times worse than the rigging.

I would hate to die, without this guy going to Jail. In fact I would die a sad death, if tis guy never went to Jail.

His Worth is as big as a lot of the economies of some African Countries.

Either this guy is a close friend of Bill Gates, or the Nigerian Government is an Extension of the Devil.

How in the world can such a man not be in Jail.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS.

Nigeria's Government is an Elitist Organization, that comprises of Obasanjo, Abacha, IBB, Danjuma, and a bunch of Henchmen.

The Government is protecting people like IBB, Anenih etc. As long as you have a connection with Obasanjo or IBB etc, you can steal as much as you want.

This is an insult to humanity.

PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Declares His Assets by dblock(m): 9:27am On Jun 30, 2007
The declaration of assets should be made Mandatory. The Annual income of the Politicians should be monitored by an Independent Organization. The Organization should be an affiliation of World Bank.

If this is realized, then corruption will be alleviated drastically.

Governors and presidents, must realize that they aren't coming to office, to live Lavish and Lucrative Lifestyles, but to be Servant Leaders, that can guide the Nation were it should be.

Nokia, has changed, all their phones are now usually Bulky.

Sony Ericsson has also changed, every single phone they make has the same Interface as the K750i.

Motorola can't stop making Flip Phones that look like the Razr, only with different names.

So for now, It's Samsung and Siemens for me.

The Top dogs of the Mobile Industry, are making a Mockery of Technology.

@:dblock, ghana did not fall and rising,come-on no country in africa has ever risen before talkless of falling again, even though west africa is predicted to rule the world like united states but not until china, japan, and other developed countries rule and fall before nigeria or ghana can rule, united kingdom has not even rule sef
Who said the U.K hasn't topped the world, prior to America's Emergence, U.K was the world's super power.
You also said no country in Africa has ever rise, wasn't Egypt the Utopia of the world in it's prime.

My Point being, that countries that are down, don't stay down forever, and countries that are on top don't stay on top forever.

Most of my relatives live in Ibadan. When I return to Ibadan, I'll definitely build my House there, and of course one in Ekiti.

Ibadan is a great city, there are issues here and there, but everyone manages to get by. cheesy

PoliticsRe: Oil Discovered In Ghana by dblock(m): 10:55am On Jun 29, 2007
but it seems a lot of work has to be done before that can happen.Ghanaians were compelled to leave when economic conditions became unbearable and then later returned when things got better.when will that happen for nigerians in the US.?
Rawlings must have been asking that when thousands of Ghanaians were flocking to Lagos.

There is no country in the world, that has stayed on top forever, history tells us that all Empires, Kingdoms, Countries etc eventually fall or give way to new ones. The Roman Empire Fell, and a more present example is Britain the World's Largest Super Power giving way to America.

Ghana Fell, and Ghana is now rising, Nigeria also fell, so why should Ghana be treated like a country with no problems, and Nigeria like Hades, what is the difference.
PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Declares His Assets by dblock(m): 10:30am On Jun 29, 2007
this is rubbish. means nothing if it can't be verified. its a show. besides, if true, being a chemistry lecturer must be one of th e most lucrative professions in naija
Yup it's rubbish, if he had not declared his assets, that would have been rubbish too. Anything that comes out of Nigeria is rubbish.

People are insulting this man for doing great things, when American politicians like Dick Cheney are US Dollar Millionaires.

I don't think it is acceptable for people, to speak without relevance or explanation. Such statements are only a stones throw from Treason.
PoliticsRe: Oil Discovered In Ghana by dblock(m): 9:50am On Jun 29, 2007
Well, if Poverty is decreasing Ghana at this rate, it means that by 2020, Ghana could even have less people living under the poverty line than America. Ghana has halved it's poverty, and I think that this new Oil discovery will help.

Continental Powerhouses like Egypt, South Africa and Nigeria have strong economies, but the money isn't trickling down to the people. Ghana's economy is weak, but the money that is available, is reflected on it's HDI and GDP per capita.

PoliticsRe: Oil Discovered In Ghana by dblock(m): 8:27am On Jun 29, 2007
Well Ghana has a pretty good Poverty Rate. It's at around 25% right now. Better than Nigeria's 56.4% and better than South Africa's

One thing I don't understand though is, why People say that Nigeria has 90% Poverty, the exaggeration is unbelievable, when CIA clearly states that as of 2005 Nigeria had 60% Poverty.

Facts are inexistent in Media these days, people just say things to suit their pathetic needs. I even read people saying Nigeria has 500 Megawatts of Electricity, you might as well say Nigeria has 2 Megawatts while you're at it. It's ridiculous. Nah Wahhh.

The Oil won't do much for Ghana, but if they can capitalize on it, and expand, then maybe Oil might just become a Major income Earner for Ghana

You did not answer my question, and yor post clearly indicates that you have never been to Nigeria. I mean for crying out Loud History supports my Argument, it's not as I making things up here. When Ghana was struggling, didn't thousands of Ghanaians invade Nigeria, didn't the Government remove them in Truck Loads, Have you forgotten where the term Ghana must Go comes from. Even Ghana's Beta "Rawlings" says it. If you know anything about history, you'll know that Nigerians are the first people to jump aboard when the ship is sinking. They'll be in Ghana, Senegal, Europe, North Africa Faster than yo can reply to this Post. It'll be unlike anything the world has ever witnessed. I'd say 95% of Nigerians would attempt to leave, I can't say how many would succeed, but 95% of more 140 Million people attempting to leave a country is disaster.

Again, I am not making scenarios to my convenience, I'm sure most of you have read such Statements, coming from the White House and World Bank etc etc.

An usuccessful Nigeria has RESULTED in a succesful Ghana!
WRONG!, If you think that Nigeria is unsuccessful has it is, then you must be watching a different movie. How can Nigeria be an unsuccessful Joint, when Egypt along with Nigeria account for the Largest return of Investment in the country, If Nigeria is so unsuccessful, why isn't Poverty shooting up to 90%.

Some people are so disorientated to think that Nigeria is the worst thing in the world. If Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt and Algeria account for half of this continents GDP, then a Failed Nigeria, would mean that the GDP of Africa would immediately decrease by 19% or so. Africa would be poorer statistically.

So Please before you Crucify Nigeria, Answer My Question; How can an Unsuccessful Nigeria mean a successful Ghana?

Like I said with the Oil found in Ghana it is not a Major source of Revenue. Perhaps investing in New Refineries, and inviting more investors, could potentially mean a Gold Mine for Ghana.

After all Ghana might just be the First country in Africa to reach the Millennium Goal. South Africa hasn't reached it. Ghana has less poverty than South Africa.
