It's human nature I guess, some people thrive of the downfalls of others. But then again it is not as if Nigeria is on the floor wailing. There has never being a period in Nigeria's history that we couldn't pull ourselves together. Things can only get better, and Nigeria will surely lock Horns with South Africa

Perhaps in the near future, South Africans and Nigerians can have a more prosperous Bilateral and social relationship

It all comes down to this, S.A is more developed, but Nigeria has a history that it can boast of. I don't know why there is hostility between S.A and other African countries. S.Africa is a great country, but my problem with the country is the perception from South Africans, that they are better than Nigerians, when Nigeria has contributed more to Africa than South Africa. We sent troops to end the Sierra Leone Violence, we sent troops to Ivory Coast and Liberia. We loaned Sao Tome Money. We have one of the largest contingents in Darfur. We along with Ghana, Ivory coast etc reassured the world of Black equality when South Africa was engulfed with turmoil from Aparthied. My Dad was in South Africa, a few years ago(He worked there for around 4 years). He went to pub in Joburg and he ordered a drink, he was handed a plastic cup, he asked why he wasn't given a Tumbler, and a black south Africa answered "boss, don't you know it's only the whites that use that, we go to the city and work in the day and return here in the Afternoon". I am not trying to administer negativity towards South Africa, but rather I am saying that the perception of Nigerians by a lot of South Africans, is extremely bold.
