I do not fancy a situation were you're an opposition figure, and you begin to churn out unpalatable stories on social media to curry likes or to pitch people against one party or the other. I'm not pro APC...you know there are some info whose source are not for the public......and mind you Godwin is 70% sure of winning the primary, he has the Gov. Backing and others like Dangote. If you're truly from Edo or live in Edo you'll know all Odubu does is to drive around town in his jeep & siren hilux being redundant and irrelevant for the past 8years.. if you believe Oshiomhole has transformed Edo from the irresponsible dark days of Lucky & Ize Iyamu then without a doubt, Godwin Obaseki is the engine of that transformation as Chairman of the Economic Team! if we sincerely want progress for Edo State & be like Lagos State then a "technocrat" like Godwin Obaseki is the man else Edo State will rot with the likes of Odubu, Ize Iyamu @ the helm of affairs & back to square ONE.. I'm not working for ODUBU neither I'm I pro APC . |

APC...A PARTY OF HYPOCRITES AND POLITICAL fraudsters...THE BEGINNING OF THEIR END IN EDO STATE.
APC Guber Primary Update: Oshiomhole Bribes 3,000 Delegates With N1.3b
There is palpable apprehension at the three locations where accreditation for the APC governorship primary is holding presently as political observers awaits the commencement of the much publicised Edo APC guber primaries.
Speculations are rife that the outcome will be a charade. A reliable source revealed to freepress.com.ng that the leading contender and anointed candidate of Governor Oshiomhole, Mr. Godwin Obaseki started by enticing delegates with N150,000 each; however in a bid to flex muscle with Obaseki and embarass his boss Governor Oshiomhole, the deputy Governor Dr. Pius Odubu reacted swiftly by bribing delegates with N160,000 each.
It was not yet uhuru, as the source disclosed that when Governor Oshiomhole became abreast with the subtle move of his deputy; he furiously added another N150,000 naira per delegate to the amount Mr. Obaseki released to further make mockery of Dr. Odubu.
One of the celebrated street urchins in Benin City and a thug, Mr. Osakpamwan No Moles added another N150,000 to the N300,000, making N450,000. The total amount of N450,000 per delegate comes to N1,350,000,000.
The other aspirants who are making minimal showing in the monetisation gambit are Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi who had doled out N150,000 each; Barrister Kenneth Imasuangbon N100,000, General Charles Airhavbere N100,000, and comrade Peter Esele N50,000.
The source hinted that due to the hyper monetisation of the election the result might turn out controversial and chaotic. One of the loyalists of a the prominent aspirants (name withheld) in the governorship race said Governor Oshiomhole has succeeded in killing the APC in Edo State. |

#APCPrimaryLiveUpdates
> Obaseki campaign Organisation got a shock of their lives yesterday when they realised that they have been working wit fake delegates list after they saw the one released by the National Headquarter. So many of their assumed delegates were not in the authentic list. The entire John Akkhigbe Ward was empty with no delegate .
> There was heavy fight yesterday in Egor as many delegates engaged in a serious fight with Obaseki campaign co ordinators in the local government who cornered the money that was approved for them and one of co ordinator even went to buy a new Camry car.
> As at 6am this morning, we have secured about 60% of the valid and reliably delegates with DR PIUS ODUBU and others aspirants will share the other delegates.
> Those who tot they will get a better offer in the Obaseki camp were shocked and frustrated last night after they realised that an ordinary deputy Governor can even offer more than Oshiomhole, Dangote and Obaseki joined together and are begging to come back.
> The numbers of overnight decampee who felt aggrieved, cheated and deceived have been too alarming and the door has been officially closed. |

Agunnewi: My attention has been drawn to the fact that GMB hired 13 SANs and 10 lawyers to defend his inability to show the world his WAEC Certificate. That is not good for this democracy…
They said the Military board under GEJ hid GMB's WAEC certificate Today, GMB is President. So who is still hiding Buhari's certificate...
We are not wailing for GMB to show us his certificate (you can't give what you don't have) But to let the world know the scam that he is.
We need to let future generations know that Once upon a time, A Nigerian President was scammed into office without a basic WAEC Certificate
Posterity and future generations need to know That a President was asked to show his WAEC Certificate but he rather went to bring 13 SANs. You write like @akaebube.....nice analysis though. |

K2nice: A former Governor of the old Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, says Buhari’s military background in addressing ethnic agitations in the country was affecting his performance.
Balarabe said the Buhari-led Federal Government had not shown seriousness in using dialogue to resolve agitations from different geopolitical zones of the country.
Speaking in an interview with our correspondent on Thursday, Balarabe said Buhari should show that he is now a converted democrat by using dialogue to settle crises rocking the country.
The former governor, who described Buhari’s first year in office as a waste, said he doubted whether the President would make the most of the remaining three years of his tenure.
Balarabe said, “Buhari has not demonstrated that he is serious about using dialogue to resolve the various ethnic tension. This government does not care about dialogue. The President’s military background and approach are affecting his performance. Former President Musa Yar’Adua understood the importance of dialogue which enabled him to put a halt to militancy in the Niger Delta. But what do we have now? Tension and agitation in different parts of the country.
“Dialogue is the only way to resolve the Biafra agitation in the South-East, the Niger Delta Avengers and the Boko Haram violence. The APC does not deserve a second term. The PDP is not also a better option. We need another credible alternative.”
Balarabe, however, said if the President adopted a revolutionary approach, he could reverse the mistakes he made in his first year in power.
He added, “ Buhari created enemies for his government when he excluded the South-East from his kitchen cabinet. The kitchen cabinet is the closest to the President. The cabinet is even more superior to the main cabinet which comprises the ministers. The exclusion of the South-East from his cabinet gave rise to the agitation for Biafra.
“The solution is the return to a state-economy rather than a privatised economy which is not helping the country. There is unemployment, poor power supply, tension across the geopolitical zones and poverty. The country needs a better alternative that would restore peace, ensure the rule of law and revive the economy. The APC and the PDP lack the capacity to achieve this.”

mapet: Government solely responsible for A-Meal-A-Day programme, says Lai Mohammed
The Federal Government yesterday said it would solely be responsible for the funding of the A-Meal-A-Day programme, dismissing anxiety over reports that some states are not ready for the programme due to funding challenges.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Mohammed, who made the revelation in Lagos at the 8th Alhaji Kafaru Tinubu Memorial Ramadan Lecture the theme: “Supreme Sacrifice and the Essence of Followership in Governance,” said the pilot scheme of the programme has started and it will cover 5.5 million pupils when fully on stream.
The minister was apparently reacting to reports credited to Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose statement, which insisted that the School Feeding Programme of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Federal Government must be done without the proposed 40 per cent counterpart funding from the states.
Fayose, who said the school feeding programme was purely a contract between the APC-led Federal Government and Nigerians, asked “Were the states consulted before the APC made the promise during the presidential campaign? How can you make a promise and win election on the basis of that promise and now expect states to help you to fulfill the promise? That to me is fraud!” “As for us in Ekiti, we are interested in the programme because Nigeria belongs to all of us. But we won’t contribute any counterpart fund because the programme is solely an electoral promise of the APC and we were never consulted before the promise was made. We don’t even have the capability to make any financial contribution even if it is 10 per cent because our financial condition is such that we can’t even pay workers salary,” Governor Fayose said. However Mohammed said, the N500 billion Social Intervention Programme was put in place to help alleviate poverty, maintaining that the huge money earmarked for the intervention programme in the 2016 budget was one of the sacrifices the government had to make in the face of falling revenue.
“The N500 billion Social Intervention Programme which is broken into five parts covers employment of 500, 000 unemployed graduates who will be trained as teachers. It also covers the employment of 100, 000 artisans as well as the One-Meal-A-Day programme for pupils in primary schools.”
“The Enterprise Scheme, which is targeted at one million market men and women, 460, 000 artisans, 200, 000 agriculture workers is also covered in the programme. It also covers the N5, 000 monthly conditional cash transfer to the poor and vulnerable,” the minister said.

I can't imagine going through the ridiculous statements you type........ point is THINK! Don't get, is the subject matter no longer on school feeding? Isn't why Fayosa is complaining and hence my comment? |
