Hello guys. how are we starting off the holiday?
please this question. what is the difference between these questions: __planned duration of stay in number of days.
and number of days planned in France for the coming year..

pls help l. tnx
I'm also not sure about these questions. I'm thinking planned duration of stay in number of days is the total number of days you plan to stay in the Schengen region while the number of days planned in France for the coming year is the number of days you plan to stay in France next year. Someone should be correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks

Hello everyone, I recently applied for a business visa on March 20th for my travel on April 14th. However, I've been reading on this site that it can take longer than 1 month to actually get your visa issued.

Those who recently applied and got their visas issued, please share your wait time period.
I'm also about to apply for a business visa and would appreciate your guidance. What was the outcome of your application? How long did it take and what documents did you submit? Thanks

TravelRe: Why Are Middle Class Nigerians Relocating To Canada? by dcutey: 8:13pm On Apr 26, 2018
Interesting discussion going on in here. Truth be told, I don't think any Nigerian is happy about the state of the nation except of course such a person is benefiting from the failure. I share the same sentiments with eli77 on giving back and helping to build a better Nigeria. However, I think this is just a dream; dreams do come true and everyone should have a dream but it takes deliberate and conscious effort in the right direction to make dreams become reality.
The question is what conscious steps is the government taking now to achieve the dream of a better Nigeria? In fact, does the government even have a dream? It seems the government isn't tackling the deep-rooted problems of the Country and is only trying to just do something. It's like someone that has pimples and uses make-up to cover them instead of solving the main problem.
Let's leave the government and come down to us, the people. We are so faced with many challenges that we can't even see the bigger picture let alone think of the greater good of the society. From no power supply to no water supply; from bad roads that keep you in traffic for extended periods of time to your Oga at the office that withholds your salary from you or tries to have a relationship with you; from danfo driving against normal flow of traffic on a major road (one way) endangering hundreds of lives and doesn't get caught to police officers asking openly for bribe with guns on them. The list is endless. Just yesterday, a man known by a colleague was driving in traffic on his way home after the day's work and called my colleague to come rescue him because he couldn't drive anymore. While my colleague was on his way to meet the man, some good samaritans called my colleague and informed him to meet them at LASUTH. When they got to LASUTH, there was no free bed to take this man in as usual so they took the man to a private hospital where 250k Naira was demanded to be paid before treating the man. This was around 10pm. The man was then taken to another hospital that my colleague uses where the man was pronounced dead on arrival.
In the end, no one can do beyond his capacity but many people can achieve a lot together which is why I agree with eli77 on building partnerships and joining force for the greater good of the society. I believe these people that will join forces and achieve great things should be in the government if not, they will be distracted by their individual challenges to overcome.

Hearsay z too much

Lemme start with Kenneth Hagin book
This has been my thought for a while now because of his depth of revelation concerning the scriptures. I know he preached a balance and well-rounded approach to prosperity and even rebuked some preachers with extreme messages on prosperity.
However, the word of God remains the final authority as we shouldn't accept any doctrine that is not validated by scriptures.

LASG needs to make an enquiry of how the explosion happened. Cus i know the company took some precautionary methods to avoid an explosion.
From reports of people that went through the plant early this morning before fire occurred, there was a strong smell of gas leakage probably over the night and the staff of the plant resumed early to deal with it although they didn't do enough to prevent the fire in my opinion. The source and cause of the leakage is what is unknown for now.

My location is a little bit far from my school and my current employer wouldn't give me time to travel for my transcript.

Someone recommended this site for me.

Please who has used them for transcript collection before?. And how genuine are they?
They are genuine but might be expensive. Give it a go.

Update
So i told my agent in the U.k about the not straightforward email and he called ukvi. In his language ' he was mad at them for saying its not straightforward and not giving the reasons why'. He said they apologised and told him dey will contact me very shortly. He also claimed he had escalated it to the next level whatever that means. It has been over 48hrs now and no response from UKVI. I hope the agent has not gone to scatter everything for me now. huh

The mail stating that your application was not straightforward doesn't mean much in my opinion, I think they send this mail to a lot of people. I got the same mail and my application took exactly 17 days and those for my wife and child took 15 days even with the mail.

today makes it 6 weeks after applying for my visa at TLS ikeja on the 31st of may 2017 and its still not out. im really scared. on june 25th they emailed me and told me they are sorry for the inconvenience but they wont be able to make a decision within 15 days and since then i havent heard from them. please house what could be wrong and what should i do ?
This is actually taking too long, I think there's a way to call or mail Sheffield at the Appointment center you submitted your application but you would have to pay to do this. I advise that you go to TLS Ikeja and explore your options there.
I also got the same mail you got though my wife's and child's applications were ready for collection in 15 working days and my application was ready for collection in 17 working day including the Ramadan holidays.

Six months validity is the standard practice, as your visit visa will be for six months if approved.
Just wanted to inform the house that I've been given UK Visa with less than six months validity on my Passport. Thank you all for your help, I'm grateful to all the contributors of the thread.

House, I've started my application on the new site. I want to ask if the new site is paga payment friendly before I fund my paga account. I was at GTBANK today just to get a dollar card. The requirement are just too much. Someone should please suggest a friendly way to make payment especially on the new site for UK visa application. Regards
I believe you will be directed to the same payment site whether you apply on the old or new application site.

I want to thank everyone that helped in a way or another in my family's UK visa application, you're all far too kind.

I submitted the application for my child, my wife and me on the 6th June 2017 through the new application site and we went for the appointment on 14th June 2017 at Ikeja. My child and my wife have been given six month visas which I collected yesterday though mine was not ready then.

I just received a mail from TLS contact this evening that my passport is ready for collection which I would collect on Monday. We all received all these mails others on this thread received. In fact, our applications was processed in Sheffield, UK.

I just wonder why they separated my application from my child's and wife's applications.

Thanks, found someone to pay for me

I have two accounts with my bank; a current acct for my salary and a savings acct. I applied for a six months statement for both, but the bank made a mistake by printing one month statement for my current acct.

hope this wont be a problem... also do I fill the checklist now

Thanks for all your help
Their instruction states that six months statement be submitted, why not go back to the bank and request the rest.

I think Ekpotek meant that you should stay within the number of days you state in your Visa application.

It depends on a number of factors like his monthly income, expense, duration of your stay. Your husband's cousin also has to provide supporting documents that your accommodation and feeding can be taken care of. The gurus in the house can add more.

Funny people! Now I'm overflogging the issue just because you have repeatedly refused to give in to simple reason, you take to subtle insult... Issokay ma'am, carry on!
I'm sorry if you feel insulted but I'm certain I didn't because I had no intention to insult you. The statement I made is a fact that applies to all including me. I'm actually surprised to see that people do not see tax remittance as serious and advantageous to the visa application. For the record, tax returns are filed by companies on behalf of their employees as stipulated by law so it's not for business owners but for anyone working in a country. Like I stated before, I have my electronic tax clearance certificate (E-TCC) card and remittance records. It's my right and the company's obligation.

I've been following this argument silently since yesterday, the issues to the reasonable are quite straightforward, however, I have a question for you travelland, seeing your attempt to highlight tax returns in the picture you posted? Do employees in Nigeria file tax returns? And are tax returns the same as tax clearance certificate? The answer is NO. Tax returns are filed by companies and needed as proof for a BUSINESS OWNER, however, this requirement does not apply to EMPLOYEES. Come on people, this is simple logic!
We need not overflog this issue, you already have a belief on it and it's clear nothing can change your position on it. No one can talk beyond the capacity of his knowledge.
