If you are a Ghanaian, you tend to worry about Nigeria.
Some would say we Ghanaians have enough on our own plates to keep us fully occupied with worry.
The Ghanaian economy is currently facing severe "challenges", to use the preferred terminology of government spokespersons.
We are in the midst of the longest power crisis that our country has ever known and tempers are short all around as we try to cope with the outages that have become part of life now.
'Ugly episodes'
And yet we worry about Nigeria. It has something to do with our histories - the tendency to mimic each other. Even though Nigeria is much bigger in every way, a healthy rivalry has always existed between our countries.
One of my favourite Ghanaian politicians put it like this: "Our two countries, Nigeria and Ghana, are like siblings. We quarrel and disagree occasionally but we love each other. Indeed, it always comes as a surprise to realise that we do not have a common border.
"There have been ugly episodes like when we expel citizens of each other from our countries and there are healthier and happier events when we clash in sports. An encounter on the football field between our two countries remains one of the best in the world."
Those who are superstitious have good cause to hold their breaths when something untoward happens in Nigeria, because that something invariably ends up in Ghana as well.
From coups to traffic jams to power outages; where Nigeria leads, Ghana seems to always follow.
'Stomach infrastructure'
All those years that our search for oil seemed to be fruitless, we were confident we would eventually strike oil - after all, Nigeria had oil, Ghana must have oil.
When we did strike oil in 2007, the most constant refrain on the lips of Ghanaians has been: "Please God, don't let us do with our oil, what Nigeria has been doing with theirs."
Ghanaians half-expect that to be the case because we seem to imitate and adopt all the bad habits of our favourite neighbours.
In the period leading to the elections that have now been postponed to 28 March, we have been more anxious than ever about Nigeria.
Our election campaigns can never be as colourful as the Nigerian ones - we simply don't have that type of money, but we try to emulate a pale version of what they do.
I am waiting for a Ghanaian politician to describe the distribution of rice and other such incentives to voters as "building stomach infrastructure", as a Nigerian governor has said in the current campaign.

A few weeks ago huge billboards advertising the two main Nigerian political parties suddenly appeared along the streets of Accra, and there was near panic here.

Rich Nigerians come to our country and treat it as their country home where they can get some peace and quiet. They are reputed to be the ones buying two-bedroom apartments for $1m (£650,000) and sending property prices out of the reach of most Ghanaians.
We are following the Nigerian election campaign and the news about the insurgency by militant Islamist group Boko Haram with trepidation.
Nigeria has always sounded, looked and felt to us here as the most chaotic place on earth; but we admire them, like to defeat them at football and like to have them as an example of the extreme in everything good and bad. We thought we knew them just as they thought they knew us.
But we do not understand this current Nigeria - the Boko Haram phenomenon or the political party realignments that have been taking place.
We are in dread of things unravelling in Nigeria and so even though we do have our own problems, we worry about Nigeria

I wanted to pray but like I just couldn't get the words out, it was just circulating in ma mind and I thought, Is praying always about talking to him? Is it always about always voicing out? What's the essence of praying apart from asking? Isn't it to know him more or communicate wit him just as a father-son relationship..... Ever considered just humming and screaming a tone of praise or just composing a text like 'God I love you' and saving it as a draft. Will he read it? C'mon there's nothing hidden before him.

As christians, get intimate and do things you'll do to anyone to get close to them, to God.
If you aint gat that relationship, just Believe on the Lord Jesus, and ye shall be saved.

Just like you've observed...prayer is not about voicing out all the time...asking from God or talking to the air..or talking to a being you can't see...its a 2 way communcation where you talk to God and He speak back to you...just like communication btw 2 people who love or like each other...IT'S ALL ABOUT INTIMACY WITH GOD...

WHAT ADAM AND EVE ate was not an ordinary fruit...they ate a knowledge...fruit from the tree of the KNOWLEDGE of good and evil...yes..it was a fruit...but not ordinary fruit...a fruit that gives you knowledge...all the fruits from the trees in the garden of eden are fruit that gives knowledge...tree of life or tree of the knowledge of life(eternal life)...just like the books in the bible from gen to revelation are trees of knowledge...let me give some a familiar illustration...in pry schls those days, you av heard of stories of some pupils coming to schl with foods such as sweet, akara, fishes, gave their friends to eat from it and the next thing in the night, those children will meet in the night in occultist meeting showing they have been initiated by eating...thats the same tin with d fruit of knowledge of goood and evil...eating of that fruit of the knowledge of good and evil introduced them to another life alien to the life of God...

If you've been SEEKING THE RIGHT UNDERSTANDING then you should have asked for wisdom to ask the RIGHT QUESTION.

According to the book of Genesis, it's written:
1. "In the beginning God created..." Where was God before the commencement of the creation?


Where was the Builder before the commencement of the Building?

*ETERNITY=NO TIME and SPACE=NO CREATION
*CREATION=BEGINNING OF TIME and SPACE=EXISTENCE OF NON-ETERNITY.
God brought Creation out of Eternity and the meaning of the name of God "I AM that I AM"...interpreted "I AM (before creation) that (when there's no creation) I AM"
God can bring creation into halt but ETERNITY continues.

2. "...Let us create man in our own image..." The word "OUR" brings confusion. Who were the people (the co-creators) with God at the theatre room? Or were they female and male gods who mate to produce their likeness? Also who were the witnesses that brought the scene to book?

Firstly, the OUR connotes the GODHEAD and the co-creators are The Word and The Holy spirit.
How can there be witness when the supposed witness(es) were brought into existence

3. "...Let them procreate and replenish..." This raises important question. How did first couple get the idea of having sexxx before they couple procreate? Who revealed the understanding of the hole beneath a woman for procreation?

We need to understand that we are fallen; and even though we have been redeemed by the blood of the lamb, as long as we are still tabernacled in this mortal, corruptible flesh; there is only so much about God that we can fully wrap our hearts and minds around.

Until the age to come, when we are given our glorified minds and bodies; some questions about God will continue to puzzle our fallen minds.

Like how can God not have have a beginning? And how can He pre-exist all things -including time and space.

You said where was God before creation? He was nowhere, "where" was in God; "where" came out of God; God created "where". Before God there was no "where".

Yes, I know that makes no sense to the fallen mind. We will need to wait for our glorified minds and bodies to be able to comprehend that depth of information. Its beyond the 3-dimensional view of our psyche.

John 1v3 -ALL THINGS were made by Him (the Word); and without Him was not ANYTHING (including time and space) MADE that was made.

So according to scripture;

The Father procreated the Word, that is why Christ is called "the beginning of the creation of God" (Rev 3v14).

And then the Word in turn created all things -space and time, and everything that consists in space and time; spiritual and physical, material and virtual, visible and invisible.

So in the beginning was the Father and the Word, no time, no space, no "where" -NOTHING.

In the age to come, when we are delivered from this corruptible tabernacle, and we are given our glorified minds and bodies; we will wrap our hearts and minds around this truth much better.

Until then we walk by faith within the limits of the revelation of Him that we can know by His Holy Spirit -as we beseech to behold His glory.

As Joyce Meyer said, "Trust requires unanswered questions."

Trust in God isn't about figuring out everything about Him. Most times it is about knowing enough about His love and His power, enough to believe Him for the things we don't know enough about.

We need to find a way to be content with the fact that there will always be some things we won't know fully about God and Christ until we see their face, and we receive our glorified bodies and minds to fully comprehend.

Until then we just have to realize that God has chosen to put some information beyond the limits of our fallen minds for now

Revelation 10v4 -...and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, SEAL UP THOSE THINGS which the seven thunders uttered, and WRITE THEM NOT.

So I'm content with seeking Him for the knowledge of that which is written, as I'm ok to wait until i see His face, for the knowledge of that which is not written.

I want whoever is reading this to ask himself "Is a finite sin worth an infinite punishment?" in plain language The human life as we all know is fleeting and passes away very quickly lets say like 100years or a little more of that at most...ok now assuming you start committing sin from the first day you were born till the day you die (100yrs later) does this worth eternity of punishment? is it justice? is this characteristic of love? let us leave any emotional attachment to any religion we practise aside and answer that question sincerely.

Ask urself assuming their is life after death in what extension will you exist, in this planet earth our extension is the human body, we have form.
eyes, nose, mouth tongue, hands, feet, brain, lungs and all this are possible because we have flesh then if their is a conscious soul that exists after death in what state? in what form or extension will it exist since we all know all the things i mentioned above are all human traits.

Pains as we know it is as a result of sensory neurons in our skin (flesh) that sends the data to the brain and then it responds to the stimuli/stimulus.. ok in this assumed state of existing after death, how would you feel pain? no skin, no brain? not even shape or form? from whence then comes the pain?
(4)Assuming you are right and their is heaven and hell, you make heaven and ur mum makes hell and you are fully aware ur mum is burning for eternity in hell, is that not a torture of its own? can you live with that for eternity?

Please…take it easy…I undastand ur fears, I have been there b4 just like every other christians…since my childhood days up to after I finished service…Ive always been afraid of hell and my desire have been to make heaven…everytin I do…the good I do, obeying God’s commandment have been about fear of HELL…that’s itself is a torment…and I hate dat with passion…that just make me FAKE just like you said….thank God for his mercy…He delivered me from RELIGION(obeying commandment…Dos and Don’t) about 4-5 yrs ago…and since then, my life have not been the same. CHRISTIANITY is about your relationship with God…not just about obeying commandment because of fear of hell.

let me start with the location of the garden of eden...the garden of eden was on earth,just like somebody the location was in iraq, i dont dispute that but even if you get to the location, all you will see is an ordinary land like any other.there is a glory in the garden of eden that makes it eden or paradise...that glory is no more there again...the glory left after man sin against God....its like THE glory that Adam and eve had before they sinned against God...what happened after they eat that evil fruit...they saw that they were naked...why not seeing dat b4 they ate the fruit...their glory that they have that makes them a living soul has departed or left them...that the same thing with the garden of eden.

the garden of eden is no longer a physical location but a spiritual location...ordinary eyes cannnot locate it again...it is hidden...a cherubim is with a flaming sword is guiding the way to it...for you to see it, ur eyes of undastanding must be enlightening to see it...before you can even enter into it to eat the tree of life that will make u live forever...eph 1:18 says I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.

for you to see and enter into the garden of even is the purpose for which christ came.

1. The gospel is what belongs to a man's peace.
'There is no peace, saith my God, unto the wicked' (Isaiah 57:21).
1. It belongs to your peace of conscience.
Sin is the cause of all sorrow, and the very reason that you are miserable is, because you are the servant of sin. It is the gospel that first brings peace to an anxious sinner. In it Christ and his righteousness are set forth, and it is a saving sight of him that makes the burden fall off a sinner's back. Those of you who have come to Christ have peace: even in the midst of raging lusts and temptations, you have peace. When once you are under grace, you can say, 'Sin shall no more have dominion over me.'Even when there seems to be no way of escape, either on this side or on that -- even when the world is spreading out the net to ensnare the soul, still, if the eye be fixed on a living Jesus, that soul can have peace. None have true peace but those that are beholding the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world. Sinner, the gospel, for as much as you despise it, is what belongs unto your peace. There is no peace out of Christ - there is no peace and safety here in this world, where Satan's darts are flying so thick, but under the wings of Jesus. No doubt, many have peace who are out of Christ - they are quite happy, although living under the wrath and curse of God; but what is the reason? The secret lies in this, they are blind, insensible, spiritually dead. They do not know their own selves. They think they are safe, while, alas! they are standing on the brink of hell. 2. In a time of trouble the gospel peculiarly belongs to your peace.
Man is born to trouble. The past year has proved that in many of your families there have been many sicknesses, many deaths, and many last farewells among you. Who knows what will take place before this night next year? The unconverted have got no peace in the hour of trouble - they have no anchor when the storm rages - no fountain of peace - no covert from the tempest. What an awful and miserable thing it must be, to be without peace when the storm comes. It must surely be an important thing to get into Christ, before trouble, and sickness, and death comes. In truth, the gospel does belong to your peace. All the time I have been among you, I have been offering you peace. If you get Christ, you will get peace; if you never get Christ, you will never get peace. Christ is a covent from every wind. As long as you have no sickness or trouble, you may be stout-hearted, and have a kind of peace; but ah, what will you do in the hour of your calamity? 'Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee?' (Ezekiel 22:14).
3. The gospel gives peace at death.
What can give you peace, 0 sinner, in the hour of death? Can a neglected Bible give you peace? Will it comfort you to remember that you have lived contrary to God all your life? Will you look back with pleasure on your wicked life then? Will your merry company make you merry then? Where will all your mirth have gone to in that day? Will your money avail you in the day of wrath? What will the end be of those that obey not the gospel? Will it be peace, sinner? Ah no! At present you mock at God's people, and scorn the very thought of conversion, and do you think the end of that will be peace? You may think so. You may think these things will not make death terrible; but, oh! sinner, it is just because Satan is blinding your eyes. Sin is the sting of death; yea, these very sins which you now hug in your bosom. Your sweet cup will be poison at death. You think it sweet now; but in the end it will bit like an adder.
As sure as you are here today, as sure as this year is passing over your heads, so sure will thy sins be turned into the worm that dieth not, and the fire that is never quenched. The judgment is at hand. Does not, then, the gospel belong to your peace? Some of you will, I believe, remember in the day of your calamity, and when there is no voice of a freely preached gospel in this house, the time when the living water ran clear at your feet, and then, then you will confess that these things belong to your peace, when they are for ever hid from your eyes. O sinner! Christ belongs to your peace. He alone can give you peace. He took away the sting of death in his own body. He is our peace.
For many a year now, I have been preaching peace to you. I have been a peace-maker. And, O brethren! why is it that you will not receive it? Why is it that ye do always resist the truth? Why will ye yet despise Christ and his gospel? Oh that you would be wise in time, and give heed unto those things which belong unto your peace!
2. I come now to show you there is a day of grace.
'If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace; but now they are hid from thine eyes.'The natural day has got its dawn, its noon, and its midnight; so, I believe, has the day of grace. Jerusalem had its dawn, when the prophets stood and told of a coming Saviour. It had its noon, when Jesus stood and cried, 'If any man thirst let him come unto me, and drink' (John 7:3 7). And it had its midnight, when he wept over it, and said, 'If thou hadst known, even thou', etc. The day of grace is that time during which Christ is offered to sinners. With some people that period is equal to their whole lives. They are born under the preaching of the gospel, and they live and die under it. Some divines are of the opinion that the day of grace sometimes ends before death; but whether this be true or not, one thing is certain, that there is a gradual hardening of the heart against the work of the Spirit. I have often seen this among you; you grow more hardened the longer you sit and hear the offers of salvation; you become more set upon your idols, and more inclined to follow the devices of your own hearts. I would now mention some of the seasons, which may be called days of grace.
1. The time of youth.
I do not pretend to give a reason why it is so; but God has so ordered it in his infinite wisdom, that the period of youth is the best time for being saved. It has been observed, and it is very remarkable, that in all the great revivals that have taken place in our own and in bygone days, the most of those who have been converted were young people. Jonathan Edwards states this in his narrative of the revival in New England, and Robe states the same in his account of the revival at Kilsyth in 1742. And have we not seen it among ourselves, that while young persons have been melted and converted, those who are older have only grown more hardened in sin? O young people! improve, I entreat you, your young days. Seek the Lord while yet your hearts are young and tender. If you delay, you will grow harder, and then, humanly speaking, it will be more difficult to be saved. No doubt God can save sinners at any age; but he seems peculiarly to choose the time of youth. He loves to hear an infant sing - he loves to hear praise from the mouths of babes and sucklings. Oh then, my brethren, will you not seek him in the days of your youth? Will you not call upon him while he may be found? If you let your young days pass over your heads without being saved, you will remember your misspent privileges when you are in hell, and you will bitterly mourn over them throughout all eternity.
2. The time of a gospel ministry.
This also may be called a peculiar day of grace. God is very sovereign in giving and taking away this. Sometimes he sends a living ministry to a place, and then a dead one. I have observed this frequently. Jerusalem had its day of faithful preaching. For many a long year did the prophets come preaching peace. Often did God send his messengers, rising early and sending them. Often did Jesus stand in the midst of the unbelieving Jews, offering them peace, preaching to them the gospel of the kingdom; then were there days of grace, but ah! they did not know it, now they are hid from their eyes. And you too who are now before me, have had your day of grace. Will you let it pass away unimproved? O sinner! will you enter upon another year with God's wrath hanging over your head? Oh is it not an awful thing to let year after year pass over you, and yet remain unsaved? A few hours more now will close this year, and you do not know if ever you will see the close of another one. The last enemy may have come to many of you, and you called to give in your account before this night twelve months. O sinner, strive to enter in!
3. The time when the Holy Spirit is poured out on a place is a peculiar day of grace.
At such a time there are many pressing into the kingdom. 'The kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force' (Matthew 11: 12). It seems easier, humanly speaking, to be saved at such a time as that. Brethren, you have had such a time, and it was an easy matter for you to be saved, that year when I was away from you; but ah! many of you let it pass by. It may indeed be said of many here, 'The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved' (Jeremiah 8:20). O brethren! you have been a highly favoured people; but remember these days of gospel mercies will soon be gone, never more to return, and if they leave you unsaved, oh! what miserable wretches you must be throughout eternity! You may never see such a time again.Oh if you would be but wise, and know the day of your merciful visitation!

U gave me two scripture WHERE flesh and blood are used,

Matt 16:13-17 " because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my father in heavens did " !!! Here Jesus said " flesh and blood" the nature of man didnt reveal it to peter, it means Peter didnt know it from his "human nature" !

Gal 1:16 " I did not imediately consult with any flesh and blood" !! In this context , Paul said he didnt immediately consult with any "human being" and stressed it further that neither did he go to the apostles in Jerusalem.

From this 2 context , its clear that " flesh and blood" refer to a typical human or human nature. And it only exist on planet earth .... When Angels came to earth, they put on the human nature of flesh and blood! But ONCE THEY FINISH THE ASSIGNMENT! They dissapear into the heaven's realm where they posses a " spiritual body"1cor 15:44 .. None of those livin in heaven have a physical body.

You are not aware how much harm the trinity doctrine woven by Romans has done to Christianity. Trinity is one of the reasons why Jews believe that Jesus is a false messiah, and hence that Christianity is fake. Unfortunately, the Jews do not know that trinity is an invention of Romans and was never taught by Jesus.
