Who are we? Where do we come from? Where are we going to?

Richard Bach in his book "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" using in symbolic form the analogy and the symbols, shows to the present humanity, the possibility that
has the human being to know and to surpass oneself, reaching every time greater perfection degrees, concerning the knowledge of the cosmos and of the "oneself".

The book is about a group of seagulls that do the same things every day: flying in order to find food, eating, sleeping. That is, the only worry of these seagulls was flying the same way, to the same place, eating and sleeping in an unconscious and mechanical manner.

But one of them turned different, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, an enterprising seagull that wanted to be different, not just an ordinary seagull. He did not want to fly the same way or do the things everybody did. He believed that putting in a lot of effort, flying better and higher would be possible. And he started flying higher and further.

Jonathan Livingston’s terrible ordeal started in this point, because he was already rejected by his own relatives, and by the rest of the seagulls.
They did not accept his changing, his being different. Nobody liked him anymore as he was considered abnormal. The unconscious and mechanical seagulls did not accept Jonathan beating, because all they were part of a mechanical life style. This is the explanation of as someone who wants to change and to be different from the rest is rejected by the group he/she is part of and sometimes even by his/her relatives.

Nowadays, society is, as hypnotized and mechanized concerning the behavior behind life that somebody desiring to change is considered abnormal.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull overcomes the first obstacle, that is, the rejection of its own relatives and keeps on going, looking for its real goal, he betters himself and starts flying at thousand of miles per hour, flying vertically and doing something that never was done: flying into the night.

How wonderful is the world for those brave ones who initiates themselves into the spiritual path. Their point of view of world and life is real and totally different.
Jonathan Livingston was able to fly higher to places where he met seagulls that could fly higher too, so he started living among wiser seagulls.
Jonathan, as every wise man, was not selfish and he wanted to share and preach his experiences and knowledge, he said: "I have found out the reason to live, we can go beyond our ignorance, we can discover ourselves as perfect, intelligent and capable creatures, we can be free". This phrase reminds us The Christ, when He answered revolutionary to a Pharisee: "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free".

Jonathan Livingston, who was plenty of love and wisdom, came back to teach his friends and relatives how to fly higher, vertically and into the darkness, but the seagulls board rejected him. He is denigrated, humiliated and expelled from the group, he is accused of inept and he has to run away to save his life.

Nevertheless, Jonathan flew to higher places and met beings who flying higher and asks them: "Why are there just a few seagulls at this altitude?" He was answered: "They are not interested in knowing either where they come from, or where they are going to, and they do not know how many lives it takes a seagull to reach perfection. If they do not learn, then next life they probably will know the same or less, perhaps".

Jonathan was after the great power, to achieve the maximum speed, that is, the perfection with no limits. When the seagulls expelled Jonathan they damaged themselves, but he came back again, as wise man, to give them wisdom.

He came back with some prepared disciples, he performed every kind of acrobatics, he flew vertically and at fantastic speeds. The eight thousand seagulls in the group stared at him without blinking. They were certainly astonished and puzzled by that powerful giant full of knowledge and wisdom.

Some seagulls said that he used collective hypnosis; others, the minority, became his disciples. As Christ said: "Many are called, but few are chosen". I wasn't born into any religion. I was only taught to be nice to people, say please and thank you, taught to keep my word, taught to believe in myself and strive to be the best I can be to myself and to other people amongst other things.

Sin originated from the devil, the devil was created by god who created sin within the devil which he knew the devil will eventually use to taunt man. Afterall, god created women with beautiful bodies, big boobs and yansh knowing fully well it would tempt us. He created gold and other finer things knowing fully well that we would crave for it. He created alcohol knowing it would make us drunk. He created weed and tobacco knowing it would make us high and increase the likelyhood of us dying from cancer. He made sex pleasurable and even created us with an unsatiable craving towards it.

Brother, god created sin. The devil is only his excuse(or theists excuse) for sin. If the devil is really guilty, and has been since man's creation, why hasn't god done anything about it? Why burden his creation with temptation, suffering, lack, want and the constant need to resist the devil after all these years?

One of the ways humans open a door for evil spirits to possess them is through their minds.
I saw evil spirits following people! They had no good shape at all. Some look like monkeys, some looked like flies, some like snakes! Billions of demons. The number of demons on earth is more than the number of humans on earth! Do you know that I saw people with more that 300demons! A demon can just attach itself to someones finger! Or eyes! Guess how these demons possess or opress people? If the devil succeeds in planting a thought in your mind he can destroy your life! Their magic is in peoples mind!
I saw two kinds of people Christians and non christians. The demons are not able to possess christians so they go and start occupying their thoughts! But as for the non christians, demons lived inside of their spirits!

The man that lead me said that some thoughts people think are not their own. This is amazing. He said that there is a difference between evil thoughts and the thought of evil. They are not the same. Evel thoughts come from outside while thought of evil comes from the inside. So demons use evil thoughts! Every evil begins with a thought! Demons were injecting thoughts in people's mind! Another difference is that thought of evil are the thoughts evil spirits send to you! I could see some evil spirits come to peoples mind as thoughts and they will start thinking those thought without knowing that its evil spirits working. You need to see what's going on in the mind of man. I could see how noisy some men's mind are.
When a man receives the thought of evil and dwells on it, it begins to gain root and before you know it the man begins to act that thought! Every act begins with a thought! But some christians were really giving the devil a hard time! When he injects a thought they will ignore it! It pained the demons when people ignore them. The most painful thing I observed was when they are ignored!
He told me that the temptation of Jesus Christ in mattew4:1-20 was happening in the mind of Jesus! So amazing. When satan injects a thought in your mind cast out that thought immediately!
The demons also tempted people in the are of their weaknesses!
I saw the devil working overtime behind the scene! He worked behind everything! Many christians were falling prey to demonic spirits!

Why Humanity Should Serve God
I have no reason to doubt that her question was entirely sincere—however misguided it was.
“Suppose you could prove to me that there is a God. So what! Would that necessarily mean that I would be obligated to serve him?,” the young lady asked. “Your God must be on a super ‘ego trip’ if he expects everyone in the universe to worship him.”
What response should be made to this flippant comment from an intelligent but confused college student?
First, the issue of whether humans should yield their lives to the Creator has nothing to do with the divine ego. God, by definition, is infinite in all of his attributes. He cannot be more powerful than he is. He cannot be wiser than he is. The Lord cannot be any more glorious than he is. Consequently, his ego could never be enhanced by human servitude.
This is implied logically in the language of Christ’s prayer shortly before his crucifixion. Jesus petitioned that he might be glorified with the glory that he shared with the Father “before the world was” (John 17:5).
If it were the case that God’s glory had been inflated by virtue of human devotion across the centuries, the Lord’s prayer surely would have reflected a desire for the current glory of the Father, rather than that possessed before the world was created.
God’s requirement that we serve him, therefore, obviously is not for his benefit; rather, it is for our’s. Because God is love (1 John 4:, he wants the best for us. Our true contentment will be found only in living for him, and that is why he bids us thus to do.
But let us expand this thought with supplemental reasons as to why we, as rational human beings, should be obedient to the Creator of our very being.
The Nature of God
A primary reason for bowing before Jehovah has to do with the nature or essence of this Being. God is worthy of human service simply because of who he is! Exactly what does this suggest?
There are two sources of information regarding the Supreme Being. First, there is the abstract revelation of nature, which argues for the wisdom and power of Deity (Psalm 19:1; Romans 1:20). Jehovah’s power is seen in the vastness of the universe; his wisdom is reflected in its intricate design.
The evidence is so clear that those who survey these data, and yet fail to conclude that “he is,” are “without excuse” (Romans 1:20; Hebrews 11:6).
In addition to the abstract revelation of divinity in the book of nature, there is the concrete revelation of Holy Scripture, which affirms the moral attributes of the Lord. These two “volumes” of testimony complement one another wonderfully. The Bible teaches that God is the eternal Spirit who is the Architect and Creator of the universe.
But when did Jehovah, himself, originate? He didn’t. God has existed always; he is the eternal “I Am” (Exodus 6:3; cf. Genesis 21:33; Psalm 90:2). Logic demands this.
A venerable argument—that remains unanswered to this day—is this: If anything is existing, then something must always have existed. But things are existing; therefore, something always has existed.
That eternal “something” must be either matter or mind. But it is not matter, for science demonstrates that matter is not eternal. Thus, the eternal something is mind. The Scriptures identify this Mind as God.
As to his essence, God is spirit and not flesh (John 4:24; Luke 24:39; Matthew 16:17). He is the Almighty (Genesis 17:1; Revelation 1:, whose purposes cannot be restrained (Job 42:2).
God is infinitely wise (Romans 11:33-36), and his loving, benevolent disposition is breathtaking (1 John 4:8; Ephesians 2:4; James 1:17). The gift of his Son to accommodate the redemption of rebellious humanity provides ample motive for surrendering one’s life to him.
One of the profound documents of the Old Testament is the book of Job. An interesting aspect of that narrative has to do with the worthiness of God as an object of human adoration. In a mysterious convocation at which Satan was present, the Lord introduced Job, the patriarch of Uz, as a trophy of human character—a spiritually mature, upright man who was unique among his contemporaries.
Satan agreed, but suggested that Job’s righteous demeanor was the result of bribery! In other words, God had blessed Job so abundantly that the sage of Uz would have been foolish not to serve him. In a word, Job knew who buttered his bread!
The subtle and diabolical implication in this charge was this:
You, God, are not worthy of human devotion on the basis of your character; rather, men serve you only because you make it to their advantage to do so. Let us use Job as a test case. Take away his goodies and he will abandon you.
And so, for our benefit (not for his own), the Lord accepted the challenge. Thus, Job was deprived of his wealth, his family, his health, his friends, and his prestige. He lost everything. And yet, the devout dignitary never forsook his faith in God. Though he lashed out in anguish at times—because he did not understand what was happening to him—he nonetheless could proclaim triumphantly: “Though he slay me, yet will I trust him” (Job 13:15).
The noble patriarch thus demonstrated this proposition: God is worthy of human service on the basis of his own nature—apart from the generous blessings he bestows. As the psalmist expressed it: “I will call upon Jehovah, who is worthy to be praised” (Psalm 18:3).
We ought to praise God simply on account of who he is!

It is true..Abel wasn't the first. When Jesus said satan was a murderer from the beginning. He knew what He was saying. I have said it many times on this forum. He first murdered(self suicide sort of) himself, then killed others angels (from the seraphs downward to the stars of God). That killing(death) is not literal as we have in the realm of men but he killed the Life of Elohim in these angels which he did by colonizing them with his own knowledge. Lucifer gave them his own light and removed the light of God in them. Thereby, he brought them to death, almost all, except some who refused. Then the war broke out, the war for the position of Adonnai.

The Word of the Lord came unto me further saying: Prophesy thou unto this people and say thou unto them, Like a mighty army, like a mighty army, like the tramping of a mighty army the forces of evil are tramping down the road to Armageddon. Yea, like a mighty army gathering force as it goes, joined on one hand by these people and on that hand, the other hand,by other people. The army of the enemy is marching on. Marching on though they know not where.
Marching on for they march in spiritual darkness and there is no light in the tenement of their dwelling.Even in their spirits for their spirits lieth in darkness and they are under the control of the wicked one. But be not fearful of the tramping,tramping, tramping of the armies of the wicked. Be not fearful of the sound of war. Be not fearful of anything that the eye can see or the hand can feel or that which is brought to you through the ear gate of this evil world.
But look ye into the Word. Yea, into the perfect law of liberty. And knew ye this, that the Lord has an army. Yea, He is preparing His own.
No! The church will not grow weaker and weaker and weaker and lie down and expire.But she shall grow stronger and stronger and stronger for a fresh visitation of heaven is at hand.
Yea, a new revelation of truth shall burst forth in all of its glory unto those who are called by His Name.
And they shall realize that in their grasp, in their hand all the while,
was that mighty Name that is above every name. And they, with that Name upon their lips and
with faith in their hearts, will speak forth unto the enemy and say, “Thus far shall ye go and no further.
” And he shall desist in his maneuvers, and stop in his operations.
And the hand of the enemy shall be stayed. And the harvest that is to be reaped shall be reaped. For the harvest is plenteous, and the laborers are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the Harvest to send forth laborers into His harvest.
And so men. Yea, if you please. Some would call them a “NEW BREED,” shall rise up and go forth.They shall not be afraid of the devil. They shall have no fear of men but with boldness shall they speak and shall challenge the very strongholds of the devil. And there shall be a great shaking.
But those who are settled in upon the Rock of ages, shall stand and shout above the storm. And see above the darkness the might of God breaking on the horizon of time and they shall be reflectors of that Light that shall shine forth into the darkness.
And the blinded eyes of Satan’s kin shall be opened by men. Men inspired of God, equipped by the Spirit,called by the Lord. Set in the Body of Christ to shine, to testify, to preach, to minister.And so like a giant that Body shall rise, shall shake off those things which would hinder and break asunder the bonds of tradition and religion that has them bound. And go forth with the pure revelation of truth that’ll cause the lame to leap for joy. And the blind to see both spiritually and physically.
And there shall sound throughout the land the cry and the hue of “Hosanna to the Lord!Hallelujah! Great is His Name and greatly to be praised.”
And the last souls shall have been won. And the last spirit shall have been saved.
And that Body shall have been completed. And then the cry shall come forth, “Behold,
the Bridegroom cometh. Go ye out to meet Him.” And in the ages to come, eons upon eons,that Body of believers shall show forth His glory and majesty forever and forever.(end)

Yes, brother you are right...we are in the season...the age of manifestation of the SONS OF GOD..THE AGE OF TRUTH...many renowned men of God have desire to see this day...which they were unable...but we are very lucky to see this age...the age when the knowledge of the glory of God shall cover the earth as water covers the sea...the age of spiritual awakening...when men shall once again forged a great intimacy with their saviour...heb 8:10-11 says FOR THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MINDS, AND I WILL WRITE THEM ON THEIR HEARTS. pls am also following...and am being blessed...pls continue...satan was right..it was the first person that killed...it invented sin and death...death is a separation from life..the source of life...which 1/3 of the its angel partook of and made the first man..adam and eve to partake of too...and concerning what he feared most in future is not fear of been bound for 1,000 years which is only to stop it from deceiving people again...what he feared most is about the SONS OF GOD that will be emerging soon...the SONS OF GOD will grow so much in the knowledge and life of christ that they will disobey the law of sin and death...they will walk just as christ walked perfectly on earth..God is presently raising such Sons upon the earth now...

AND CONCERNING ISLAM...i have been eager to know the connection of lucifer to this...kindly tell us...its your opinion though and i dont think anyone will ban you ...even the satanist and athiest on nairaland had said worst thing about jesus without anybody banning them..

I do know that God will seal His Children' Head/on the Forehead. What does it mean? I know God doesn't do magic or miracle of such.

the mark is not a physical mark ...the mark of the beast in their forehead ( wicked and evil thoughts ) and hand ( wicked and evil deeds )

@ hiswordxray, Man of God, pls dont look in the physical first, look in the spirit, check the holy spirit within you...JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD WILL KEEP COMING SEASON UPON SEASON in the spirit to strengthen his church for the task ahead...He came/coming this season to bring change upon his church...for the days ahead...terrible times are ahead and HIS CHURCH HAS TO GROW STRONGER AND STRONGER.

TO MR PRESIDENT1; i concurred with all youve said...i bear witness to it...to the date..eventhough i didnt know about all your calculations...i knew the lord was coming this year to bring change to the body of christ which is his church...and particularly i have been very sober as the lord rebuked me at the beginning of this year or miss His VISITATION...since then i have been patiently expecting his visitation...entering this month of MAY...I became unusually expectant of his coming ...because He is coming again to awakening His CHURCH from slumber...i can bear witness that he came at that exact date you stated...for me ooo...yesterday CHURCH SERVICE WAS AWESOME...I KNOW HE CAME YESTERDAY...AND I WAS SO HAPPY I DIDNT MISS HIS VISITATION...

@ hiswordxray and many other spiritually minded christian...you just have to look within your spirit..the holy spirit within you to confirm this...NO DOUBT THAT JESUS WILL COME BACK AGAIN...but before this coming back in the natural..he would have come several times in the spirit to help his CHURCH which is his spirit...
