Dear V.O,
Thanks for you response.
You made mention "Just remind us when you come back for your next interview, and we can update the case notes for you"
Does that mean i'll still have to come for another interview?
Wow!!! Well, I just hope me name gets cleared.

Dear v.o,
I already attended the follow-up interview on the 24th of july. According to the email I got from the embassy, I was told that my case is nearly complete.
About the change of address, He told me just some days ago.
Well, I just hope my case is resolved before the 30th of September.
As for the change of address, what do advice me to do?
Thanks.
TravelRe: U.S. Immigration Questions: Ask A U.S. Consular Officer by Ddream77:
Good day V.O,
I attended the follow-up interview on the 24th of july.
I was told I fell into the category of common names cry
And they need to do more background check
After that day my status on CEAC changed from Ready to Administrative Processing.
And the dates on update keeps changing. Formally it was 18th of july. After my follow-up interview it's changed to 24th, 26th,28th and now 29th. Does this mean it's in progress and being updated as you do your findings (background check) ?
Besides my host just informed me he has moved to a new home with another address different to the previous one he gave me that I included in the form I sent to KCC. How do I update the embassy? And I hope this will not affect the background check?

Hello V.O,
How did work go today? I guess it not easy working as a consular. May God give you the strength to continue you good work.
I got this mail from the embassy a few mins back ;

Dear Mr. Adeyemoh,

The administrative processing on your case is nearly complete.  Please return for a follow-up interview on Thursday, July 24, no later than 10:00 a.m.  If this time is not convenient for you, please let us know as soon as possible.

Please bring this e-mail along with you when you return to the Consulate on Thursday.

Thank you,

Please what are the things i'd need to bring along with me for the follow up interview when coming on the date given?

Your response and advice will be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hello V.O,
Thanks for your prompt response...
I did a little research on AP and got this online;

Who can get Administrative Processing and Why? AP usually affects men and women from certain countries but anyone can get AP. Persons coming from T countries (Terrorist Countries) seem to have more security checks and have to endure AP at the embassy level after their interview. Common names, your nationality, religion, education, relationship of applicant, travels and job can all be factors for AP. Having incomplete or missing documents will also cause a case to be put in AP. In some cases if the embassy does not believe in the validity of the relationship they can investigate it further with a field investigation.

If this is true, then I "think" I understand why I have been placed on AP... I'll just have to wait for the outcome.
Besides if the update date keeps changing on CEAC does it mean the background checks are being updated as at each dates it changes to?
Or it has stages/levels as in if the check passes one level/stage it goes to the next and unto the next and so on.....and when it gets to the final stage a decision is now made?
TravelRe: U.S. Immigration Questions: Ask A U.S. Consular Officer by Ddream77:
Dear V.O,
I sent this mail to the embassy ;

Good day sir/ma,
I had my interview on the 10th of July and was told the visa would be ready for pick up on the 17th of july 2014 but when i checked the status of my visa this morning the status reads READY but the date updated changed from the 11th to 16th, 17th and now 18th.
I also went to the collection centre and was told they hadn't received my passport and should check online or come back on Monday. I don't really understand because someone told me that, it's supposed to have changed to ISSUED so I'm a bit confused.
Should I still go ahead on Monday for pick up?

Applicant Name - Adeyemoh Mohammed Ekundayo
Case Number-   2014AF17107
Your anticipated response will be appreciated.
Thanks.

And the embassy response was ;

Thank you for your inquiry.

Please be informed that your case is still undergoing administrative processing, we apologize for the delay, we will contact you as soon as the administrative processing is complete and schedule an appointment.  Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

Correspondence Unit (TMI)
US CONSULATE GENERAL
LAGOS, NIGERIA.

Now, I pondering what the problem is and will I come over for another interview? If I have to, what are the things I need to bring along?

1, I have been to the US embassy for interview three times and denied all three times. The last time I was at the embassy was in 2005. But I wasn't asked by the consular on the day of my interview.

2, I didn't change any information on my passport or identity.

3, First time, I applied as a student through an agent whom I paid and assisted me in getting a form i-20 from a flying school. Second time was as a visitor and same as for the third time which my uncle invited me. My interview between the second and third time was in a space of three months or less. The V.O then, said "I shouldn't waste my time" Is it that i've been banned? I did all this all because I wanted to go to the USA by all means to get a meaningful life and was frustrated by JAMB!!!

4, In my previous post I made mention that there were some errors on my form which i'll like to correct and you said I can change them at the embassy but when I got to the embassy the man I submitted my documents to refused. i.e my place of work, host address because he has moved to a new place and occupation because I finally registered my own company under CAC.

5, Why has my status not changed on CEAC from Ready to AP? Or are there different kinds of AP levels or stages?

6, If the update date changes on does it mean you are working on the visa process? Because mine changed from 11th, 16th, 17th and now 18th of august.

7, I thought you said if there was any issue I will be called in my previous post? But I had to email the embassy first to be updated on the issue at hand. Anyway, Being placed on AP is worst than been denied. This is torture... Lol. I say this because one keeps on pondering what the issue might be. Blood pressure will rise and all sorts.... Lol.

I wish you'd just tell me what exactly the issue is and to the best of my knowledge i'd speak the truth and if there's anyway I can come in to make it faster and easier for you at the embassy, i'm willing to assist since I took an oath/still under oath.... 30th of September is just around the corner.

Looking forward to you reply.
Thank you and God bless...

Dear V.O, on my NECO testimonial (certificate) I have my name as Adeyemo Mohammed Dayo but on my int'l passport its Adeyemoh Mohammed EkunDayo. And again on my neco my date of birth is 06/03 while on my birth certificate and int'l passport its 03/03. Is this going to be an issue? If it is, kindly advice on what I should do. Thank you.

Dear V.O, how long does it take normally for KCC to send the second notification letter to a DV winner and the US embassy?

Is it likely 2014 DV winners are going to be interviewed this year?

And how long is the time given for the space of interview at the embassy?

According to KCC there are 5,500 people from Nigeria and still more winners to qualify or so.... I think their case is being processed And my number is a bit above seventeen thousand.

This is Because I am planning to travel for a short course and don't want to be outside the country and being called up for interview when I'm out..

Dear V.O thanks for the great job your are doing here. I have some questions.

1. On the day of a DV lottery winners interview, is he/she going to fill any form?

2. What if the person doesn't fill in the exact things "minor /major changes" he/she filled and sent to KCC? i.e if you have a registered company and its an enterprise as at the time you sent your forms to KCC and before your interview date you upgrade to limited liability company. Will this affect my application?

Your anticipated response will be appreciated.
TravelRe: I Am A U.S. Consular Officer: Ask Me Your Visa Questions. by Ddream77: 2:37am On Aug 26, 2013
Dear V.O, does the US embassy recognise NECO results alone? What are the subjects required for DV lottery winners and average score in each subjects? For confirmation of results, either WAEC or NECO do we need to bring along a NECO or WAEC scratch card for verification of results?

Dear VO,thanks for your reply as I said where job title is on my Biographic data, I filled in Infotech dealer. Doesn't it fall under the category of Sales Manager and Purchasing Manager since I buy and sell "trading"? I have worked as a sales manager for 2years before I established my own company.
Please what is the most important criteria to qualify for an immigrant visa my "O" levels or job experience? What are the qualifying scores for the WEAC and NECO "O" levels? Sincerely I'm a bit discouraged. If you were in my shoes will you go ahead for the visa or you'd opt out before getting an interview date. Besides how do I check the "job zone score"? Thank you. Looking forward to your honest opinion.

Dear V.O thanks for your kind response. I'll like to know if my job qualifies for the DV 2014. I'm a winner and my forms have been submitted to KCC. I've been into sales and marketing for more than 8yrs. I currently have my own registered company. We are into sales and supply of personal gadgets (laptops, smart phones, gaming consoles, tablets... just to mention a few. I have also established and maintained a good relationship with an American gadgets wholesale company in Michigan where I buy most of my gadgets from and I get my items shipped from the US to Nigeria. In my BIOGRAPHIC DATA form where "Job title" is listed I filed in that I'm an "Infotech Dealer" but on present occupation "Infotech supplier" I hope this isn't going to be an issue and Do I qualify for the visa? I have my "O" levels.
TravelRe: I Am A U.S. Consular Officer: Ask Me Your Visa Questions. by Ddream77: 10:03pm On Aug 18, 2013
Dear V.O, I've been denied visa to the US like 3-4 times. The last time I went to the US embassy was in 2005. The lady that interviewed me made a statement and since then I gave up. She said I should stop wasting my time maybe because I applied between march and June 2005. Is it that I have been ban from entering the US? Anyway I'm I just checked and I won this year's visa lottery... I have submitted all the required documents. All I'm doing now is waiting to be called upon for an interview? Will the previous denial of visa affect my chances of getting a visa? Besides what are the questions that will be asked? I'm scared.
