The Hausa is purportedly 21%, Yoruba 21%, Igbo 18% and Fulani 17%, Ijaw are about 10% and others follow.
Though, I have a feeling that the Fulani population is actually padded. They are not more than 9%.
It shows that if Yoruba's, Igbo and Ijaw really wants a political alignment with others in the South and Middlebelt, we can send these guys packing. But, will Igbo amaka allow such? Time will tell.

first of all, its a tribe not race. secondly there is no tribe called Hausa/Fulani. you have Hausa tribe as well as Fulani tribe. hausa/Fulani is a political conglomerate. they are two different tribes with a common political interest. thirdly if they are to split based on tribe, you will be surprised to know that Ijaw which is the fourth largest tribe is bigger than each of them.
note: North has many other tribes, but Hausa Fulani rules them because right from long time ago, they understand the principles of unity in diversity.

My best friend in unilag today is an Igbo boy, we simply put away our differences and work together to achieve our common goal. While I was in the polytechnic too, my best friend was an Igbo boy. Before been offered admission, we to any institution, I roamed the street with a very good friend who, also from ur tribe, he even speaks yoruba so fluently and says yoruba proverbs.

Unfortunately, the Igbos I've meet here hateful people and I begin to wonder if my friends have really come from this hateful tribe. It's unfortunate.

How do u expect a school that has always go on strike once a month in every semester during d 2014/2015 session. Even b4 d commencement of the 2015 /2016 session, dey went on strike due to VC appointment issue. Thanks to d FG that help ameliorate d matter.
