Una own no pass money. Some people's children are dying inside bush while a FirstLady/Her Son is in a convoy of 35 cars, money that should have been used for security, but una own no dey ever pass the 200% gain una make for Zenith bank on the NGX. See the kind of news we are used to hearing (reference 2024 paper I was thinking about recently ) ghm: Same here. I still don't see any current candidate who can deliver something truly different.
This administration has performed better on macro‑economics than most past ones. Think of macro‑economics as the infrastructure; micro‑economics is built on that, and it's micro‑economics that actually improves people's lives sustainably.
So I'd rather stick with APC/Tinubu for another four years. Trust them to build on the macro‑economics and then focus on micro‑economics that benefit citizens widely – instead of another four years of trial and error with any of these other candidates.

Nothing concerns Machiavelli with peaceful society. His views on achieving your goals is to do it even at the detriment of other people Streetinvestor2: And what happens if your positive objectives turns to negative on many other people's lives. How do we balance that if we want that society to be peaceful |

Oh I see, nice. This 600k was as at last early last year o when I joined NGx. I recall it was said by the NGX people themselves. 300k+ more in a few months is pretty great. Hopefully the country gets better and it ramps up. I would be happy to see 30milliom people and 1000 listed companies. GeneralDae: The data from BusinessDayNG clearly shows 937k retail accounts. Either they are wrong or the 600k data is outdated already Or (more likely) the 600k are the active accounts out of the 937k. I would check.
Edit: It seems the data is correct. 937k new accounts compared to 68k new accounts in 2023.
So total accounts could be over a million already but there were 937k new accounts. 600k new accounts gained due to bank recapitalisation only. |

GeneralDae: But politics aside, that growth from 68000 retail accounts to 927000 is astronomical. This means the market has become way way more liquid than in 2023. What is responsible for this? Could it be the inflation pushed young people to explore the market as a way of preserving and boosting capital? where did you see 937k? I believe it’s around 600k active accounts. Over the last year or two, I believe Bamboo onboarded more than 120k (I saw it somewhere). By the time Dangote IPO is done, I believe another 200k will join just based on the hype. |

Yes, for those who are still alive and not too poorto buy stocks GeneralDae: Insecurity is still not being tackled as expected by this Government and there are lot of things I don’t like about this Government as well.
Their NGX market record however is not bad. |

Asangbekoko: I heard somewhere that the company officially indicated that it's results would be delayed.
However, given Aradel's recent history, the market appears to be pricing in a strong Q1/Q2 2026 performance already. The bigger question may not be whether profits grow, but whether they grow enough to justify the stock's recent rally. In March, they wrote a statement saying they’d drop it On or Before May29. Today is May 30. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by deathwing(m): 9:51pm On May 29 |
If not today, they should have dropped update much earlier. sterlingD: About Aradel they like to follow everything to the letter.l am suspecting tomorrow or 31st of this month except if them follow drop update of shifting of result release date. |

I was also confused because I never hear that style before. Aradel don't also seem interested in releasing their result today Raider76: Please is Oando the only company required to have their FS vetted by the FRC? Or are they just doing it to give some sense of regulatory approval to the results? Two weeks is certainly not enough time to vet the results of such a large company as Oando, especially going by the time the CBN takes to vet banks' results. |

No be human being prepare the result or no be human being receive am for NGX? Those human beings no get relatives and friends? According to the market momentum this today Oando's result is not too good as usual, all we are waiting for now is to see how bad it is. |

Omo, what kind of statement is this? Asangbekoko: Covid never existed in Nigeria. I worked in Central Area Abuja, where we tested everyone that entered our 'national' office. Also, from the statistics that were gathered from other national institutions that I new, the number was zero. The stats that were available were only from the news. |

Isn't the entire point of the Japaul Gold stock that you are placing a bet on their future gold production activities? If the coin news is real, then it's a fantastic way to remove money from those eager to be scammed. If you want to bet on gold, buy a Gold ETF. If you want to bet on Japaul the company, buy t heir stock on the NGX. zendi: I am not crypto literate myself but from the story, the digital gold is backed by the physical gold. Therefore a sign that JapaulGold is serious about Gold production. |

Just 600k Nigerians are active in the market in total, I believe. It's sad because they are leaving a lot of wealth on the table. By the way, until around 2023, there were only about 300k active participants in the market. Na them Bamboo add like 300k in the last two years. Streetinvestor2: You never here the gist that the number of people participating on ngx no pass 2 million Nigerians.. .So ngx is never a yard stick to say Nigerians are leaving well |

I think Seplat had more than a month of downtime on one of their pipelines o something, so the oil price increase (as well as their strengthening gas business) kind of cushioned and prevented what would have been a loss. NSEstudent: Has that war really impacted them since it started? Oil prices have skyrocketed a few times, yet most of the oil stocks on the NGX remained unaffected.
By the way, it seems like Trump won't be getting the Iranians to surrender their highly enriched uranium. |
