Streetinvestor2: If you think so.Then why are Nigerian insurance companies not showing benefit from that refinery in thr books. Look at the q1 2026 for insurance companies. They are annoying beside very few I said it doesn’t have to be Nigerian. It will most likely be international since it’s a first of its kind. How many Nigerian insurance companies will even understand what they are insuring? The complex is also located in a FTZ. It’s technically outside Nigeria. I wager they are insured by the insurance companies that insure other insurance companies (re-insurers). |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by deathwing(m): 8:28am On May 25 |
E go get nah. It doesn’t have to be a Nigerian company. Those same insurers in London who insure container ships and massive infrastructure and such go dey among. I guess many insurance companies covering specific areas of the complex. Streetinvestor2: Thinking aloud. Does it mean companies like Dangote refinery will not have comprehensive insurance cover going by its valuation. Looking at the valuation of nigeria insurance companies that means none can render insurance services to Dangote Refinery even with the associated high risk God forbid in the event of serious fire out break at the refinery. What happens based on insurance to such refinery |

Agbalowomeri: Is it not this same DR that you can only subscribe for a maximum of N2m? How many units will that amount buy? Nobody has said this anywhere, and the prospectus is not public. It is impossible for something they are marketing so heavily to have such a price cap. Price cap is for when you’re sure you will oversubscribe your insane N7t offer. |

Payunsin:

At current price, Access bank will probably have the best dividend yield in NGX max 3 years. The big question is can u patient enough? So hold on for 3years to get 12% dividend yield, meanwhile other banks would have returned 50% plus dividends in that time |

No such thing as 'as much as possible' where Pension finds are concerned. There is a max they can invest in equities (25% or so), and no matter the IPO, it would be stupid for a fund manager to dump ALL their allocation into it. mikeapollo: Institutional investors e.g. pension fund custodians, cooperatives etc can virtually take up everything especially niow that PENCOM has given them a waiver to allow them invest as much as posdible in the IPO. It could even be oversubscribed. Only that the devaluation of the naira will now give advantage to foreign investors over Nigerians |

He implied he had interest of up to $2bn, but that they won’t give the full interest. KarlTom: At this rate I don't think 10% will be enough.
PP already booked $2bn (that's 4% of $50bn). Which means only 6% will be made available via IPO... |
