Yup. Not really 'spills' as in accident. They process industrial waste, currently mostly from Oil and Gas by working with refineries. HesInMe: Thanks. So like clean up of oil (and other hazardous materials) spills? |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by deathwing(m): 5:08pm On Apr 29 |
Mostly oil-associated waste management. They have a few (dangote etc) but highly valuable clients. Also looking to go into municipal waste. Has the easy money been made? I am betting not. As the Oil/Gas industry is expanding on steroids due to specific reforms to increase our oil and gas production TIP is well positioned to eat good for years to come. HesInMe: Could someone please enlighten me on this TIP sef? What is the main driver of value for the company? And has all the easy money been made? |

Didn't really have a target but Aradel has also done wonders on my portfolio this week. Very glad I bit the bullet and bought it as my first NGX stock last year even while it strugged and bounced around the 550 - 500 range for many months. Raider76: Thanks to Aradel and UCAP my portfolio today hit a target I that has been alluding me for so long. Though it is paper money, it nevertheless feels so good. |

Same, I used Dang.. but I’m not a big fan of Dangote on principle, and I liked what I read about the Coastal Road using Wapco cement or something. I also thought of the entire length of the road and what a stronger economy might mean for our building and infrastructure targets. I thought Wapco would be best. Infact, by the time I was convinced, i made it the third largest stock in my portfolio, after Aradel and TIP. I bought at ATH, knowing that I would average down if necessary. Since I bought at 160 or so, e never dip. welzyj2: Not kidding this was also my low key moral earlier this year...although I used dangcement for my project
Price from 10.5 to 12 in less than a month
I had to buy wapco shares to get something back from the industry. I'm at 60% on capital invested now
I'm riding it for the long term |

Yes, because I never reach my target accumulation. I don’t mind if it gives me 30% a year because that was my was expectation when buying. Beat inflation and possible naira devaluation. nedu666: And u say God forbid |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by deathwing(m): 11:38am On Apr 29 |
You won't believe the reason i started buying WAPCO. I had to do some renovations at home late last year and the price of cement really shocked me because I last remembered it at like 5k or so. After all the spend, I swore these companies would have to pay me back somehow...so I did my research and decided on WAPCO. Now almost 100% up. Mpeace: I bought a little WAPCO the moment I saw BUACEMENT result. Note that since January this year, cement prices have really gone up |

Haha, sometimes some stocks going down is the best feeling. That's how i felt when Nvidia got to $95 last year. E remain small i for sell my kidney to buy am. Sunrisepebble: Might be ambitious within that time frame. But I have no doubt N400 is certain within the next 12 months. At this point I won’t add or sell unless there’s a significant pull back. I now understand Warren buffet when he said he loves it when the stocks he buys goes down |

Ah, 400 by month end. That one go mad gaan. I hope it doesn't happen sha. I was happy with 220 TP when i was buying it at ATH of 160 two months ago or so. 400 too much for one year. ositadima1: I bought today at 345, with a target of 400 before month-end, just for JIJO. I’ll also exit at any time if my thesis for entering goes south.
He gets why. |

I usually do the calculation to see what average cost I will be happy with. That's how I moved my GTB average cost from 88 to 101 now. The stock dipped from 91 - 78...i averaged down till my cost was about 85 Then it shot up to about 110 and then 120 But I decided i was happy with 20% gain in one year so decided to keep averaging up till i got to 100. The stock is now 130...and I am happy with an average cost of 105...so I am still buying. Even bought today. Ginalex: With the aggressive rise in its price, I'm low-key scared to top up. Because averaging down, I no too get liquidity for that kyn parole |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by deathwing(m): 10:43am On Apr 29 |
Small position. I rode GTCO from about 95 to 78 and didn't sell during last year's reds. Same as Aradel, Custodian and some others. Rode my US portfolio from crazy losses to all-time highs. The UBA was meant to be very short term (including the dividends). The only bank i'm actually interested in is GTCO. Beeron: If stocks were easily transferrable like crypto I would have begged you with everything I have to sell to me please.
Always keep in mind that, shortsighted investors likes to parrot the fundamentals of long term investors, sadly it's funny because shortsighted investors only focus on short term Market sentiments.
We lost you to one them.
If you not sure next time, due to bad news flying around, have faith in averaging down as an alternative. |

Actually, it was your post sometime last year that got me thinking about it. While you were mentioning 30%+ pa annum, I realised I had access to about 11% if i looked hard enough. Problem is, the stocks i wanted toi buy GTCO/Aradel/WAPCO have overshot even my wildest dreams for this year so I no come know if the matter worth am because na like $7k i been wan collect. emmanuelewumi: Please take it |

Been thinking of using a personal loan (13% pa) to buy shares but the bubble seems to be inflating faster than I can even come to a decison. If i had done it two months ago like i planned to buy a stock,I would have been up almost 100%. Smh emmanuelewumi: That is the reason why I borrow against my shares in other to buy more shares. During Premarket, do you do market or limit order? jonnysessy: Good day great investors. I was able to offer all my UBA stocks during the pre market ( fastest fingers first (fff) In fact, i was number 17 on the tray. I was surprised that only 7,000 was sold and i was taken down on queue to #98. I thought it is a first come first serve, hence am surprised that only a paltry units of 7,000 was sold. I await who know how this works as i don't think it will get to my turn again.
But, tomorrow will be another date to offload UBA. I can even buy MEYER paint that is ready to pay N0.45k. I am a dividend investor. |

Oando hopium still going strong in this forum mikeapollo: This market is interesting and sometimes evens replicate in different sectors.
I recall when WAPCO was struggling and restructuring; selling below N20. Today, it is almost N300 and seen as going after BUACEMENT Soon, similar comparisons could be made for Oando and Seplat/Aradel as well. Restless Oandoites just need to ''f'okan ba'le'' |
