Christianity Etc › Re: Christians: Would You Prefer A Muslim Or A White Garment Partner? by deb(m): 12:50pm On May 12, 2006
I would have said no to both but I've realised its wrong to generalise.
There will always be an exception. I'm currently dating a cute muslim
babe I was already attracted before I realised. Same could have happened with a white garment babe.

I guess they are all human beings. besides, I'm a guy so there is the tendency either of them will convert 2 wherever I belong. grin

Christianity Etc › Re: Christians: What Do You Do When You Don't Know What Else To Do? by deb(m): 4:58pm On May 09, 2006
After you've done all you can the next thing to do is to wait on God.

Waiting on God does not mean you should stop trying at making headsway
so long you are doing the right thing it is just a matter of time for your breakthrough to come.

let me share my own story. after graduation from school I decided to get myself skillful in the are of Information Tech. After my training at NIIT there was still no job forthcoming but I kept on developing my skill.
My brother, after I got a job It wasnt long before I was drafted into the board of Directors of my company becuase of the wonderful software I had developed before I joined the company. I own a whooping 10% of my company share now aside my salary. I waited on God and when His time came It was all smiles for me smiley
Islam › Re: Islam Forbids Aggression Against Innocent People by deb(m): 4:46pm On May 09, 2006
I very much agree with you that we both paid lipservice to peace
I disagree with you on that statement. Christians dont pay lipservice to peace
we preach, live and act peace. That is the hallmark of a real christian.
Islam › Re: Islam Forbids Aggression Against Innocent People by deb(m): 4:22pm On May 09, 2006
This thread is interesting: "Its says Islam forbids aggression against innocent people"
meanwhile the followers of the religion do exactly the opposite.

Maybe the thread is necessary for the muslims because they have alot to defend.

With my own Jesus there is no condemnation, nothing to defend. grin

Christianity Etc › Re: The Outcome Of Satan's Meeting by deb(op): 3:32pm On May 09, 2006
The idea behind the third term is good but I believe Obasanjo is not the only person
that can move Nigeria forward.

He's done well so far? let him allow others to continue.

Meanwhile, have you visited the link I sent you ealier?
Christianity Etc › Re: The Outcome Of Satan's Meeting by deb(op): 2:54pm On May 09, 2006
Well I guess 18 is maturity stage. Now that you are 19 you need to come back home.

At least there is another civilian coup of third term governance come and resist it and stop shouting from abroad grin
Christianity Etc › Re: The Outcome Of Satan's Meeting by deb(op): 1:07pm On May 09, 2006
Stop creating excuses for why your life sucks. Face facts, if an all powerful God exist, it/she/he is to blame. You spinless cowards would not stand up when there has been a coup, but are quick to come up with excuses for why the "supposed" strongest being in existence is unable to control creatures he made.
My question: If you could stand coup why did you leave Nigeria for America? Why didnt you stay to make the difference in the midst of the "coward".

Are you an "agent" of the devil? shocked If not I guess you need to read a few :Near Death Experience of ex-Atheists
Perharps you will realise there is an all powerful God somewhere.

Mind you, I'm not a religious fanatic. I AM A CHRISTIAN WHO LOVE GOD. I dont worship religion.
I worship God and I Love Him. You know what? my being a christian does not stop me from expressing my human feeling so If you get me angry I will!!!, grin grin grin grin
Business › Re: How Does One Make Money On The Internet Apart From "19"/yahoo-yahoo? by deb(m): 11:43am On May 09, 2006
Making genuine money from the internet requires alot of patience.

You need time to build some credibility for yourself and that could mean sacrificing as much as 12months even more. Really the reward is worth it.

My cousin, also a member of nairaland is making some cool dollars from google adsense.

I cant share a personal testimony because I'm not patient enough like my cousin. I pulled out of internet biz longtime.

If you feel you can hold on and be patient enough then its time for you to start gathering all the info you need to get started.

You will suceed! cheesy
Christianity Etc › The Outcome Of Satan's Meeting by deb(op): 11:00am On May 09, 2006
I'm posting this message to bring christians in the forum to the reality of Satan's strategy
at keeping us away from God. Even to the non christians I feel this is a valuable info.

Satan called a worldwide convention of demons.

In his opening address he said,

"We can't keep Christians from going to church."

"We can't keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth."

"We can't even keep them from forming an intimate relationship with their saviour."

"Once they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken."

"So let them go to their churches; let them have their covered dish dinners, BUT steal their time, so they don't have time to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ, "

"This is what I want you to do," said the devil:

"Distract them from gaining hold of their Saviour and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!"

"How shall we do this?" his demons shouted.

"Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds," he answered.

"Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow."

"Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work 6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles."

"Keep them from spending time with their children."

"As their families fragment, soon, their homes will offer no escape from the pressures of work!"

"Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small voice."

"Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive." To keep the TV, VCR, CDs and their PCs going constantly in their home and see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-biblical music constantly."

"This will jam their minds and break that union with Christ."

"Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers."

"Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day."

"Invade their driving moments with billboards."

"Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogs, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products, services and false hopes, "

"Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines and TV so their husbands will believe that outward beauty is what's important, and they'll become dissatisfied with their wives. "

"Keep the wives too tired to love their husbands at night."

"Give them headaches too! "

"If they don't give their husbands the love they need, they will begin to look elsewhere."

"That will fragment their families quickly!"

"Give them Santa Claus to distract them from teaching their children the real meaning of Christmas."

"Give them an Easter bunny so they won't talk about his resurrection and power over sin and death."

"Even in their recreation, let them be excessive."

"Have them return from their recreation exhausted."

"Keep them too busy to go out in nature and reflect on God's creation. Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, plays, concerts, and movies instead."

"Keep them busy, busy, busy!"

"And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences."

"Crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power from Jesus."

"Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family for the good of the cause."

"It will work!"

"It will work!"

It was quite a plan!

The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing Christians everywhere to get busier and more rushed, going here and there.

Having little time for their God or their families.

Having no time to tell others about the power of Jesus to change lives.

I guess the question is, has the devil been successful in his schemes?

You be the judge!!!!!

Does "BUSY" mean: B-eing U-nder S-atan's Y-oke?

Please pass this on, if you aren't too BUSY!

I don't think I know 10 people who would admit they love Jesus.

Do You Love Him?
Music/Radio › Re: 2face Idibia's Voice by deb(op): 4:50pm On May 08, 2006
i love his voice they are so sweet
Perharps you re refering to his lyrics. There is no doubt that his African Queen lyrics will get any lady hooked.

My dear seemed like you fell more for his lyrics than d voice. He doesnt sound that too great.

, And before u think I have anything against tuface, I want to repeat that tuface is a good but not a serious artistes. You expect a great singer to get better but the Tuface voice that I heard in the past is much better than the present one. I can say that again and again. lipsrsealed

Jobs/Vacancies › Job - Just Over Broke! by deb(op): 2:30pm On Apr 27, 2006
I attended a seminar in Lagos recently and we were told d acronym for JOB is Just Over Broke because all that happens to a job seeker revolves round this short poem:

Hired Tired & Fired! grin

I guess its time for JOB seekers to start thinking of how to be self reliant. I know this may not be popular on this thread but what do you think?
