Here's a quote every employee should live by:
"Do your job, but mind your business".
It has at least two meanings-
1. While at work for your boss, be diligent- but mind your business: gossip, idleness, taking your job home when there's no overtime bonus- these must be avoided. Have a REAL life.
2. This is more obvious:
Once you finish at the office, running your own (small) business should be your top priority- over social functions, 'chilling' at home, even over your domestic chores. A well pressed shirt can' really do you much good in your job performnce anyway...
Besides, who knows when the firm might be in need of 'restructuring' ,d you get laid off? It's just good sense to plan for the rainy day.
So, BREAK OUT!
Cheers!

Please if you're passing this (and any other) job advert to anyone kindly give them all the relevant details.

I've had several applicants over for interviews.
Most came without full knowledge of what the position entails- in that it's an entrepreneurship opportunity.

So they ended up wasting time and money travelling down here- some from far distances!

So please help them properly, rather than just giving a number to call.
They will appreciate you for it.

Thanks

I think Nigerians need to be fair to each other. While, we continue to hold the government accountable, as citizens we also need to be our brother's keeper. Why should anybody apply for a Job he knows he won't show up at? ...knowing fully well there are thousands of jobless people who could have taken up his place.

#30,000 isn't a lot of money, but there are thousands of people who could do with this while they sort themselves out or search for more permanent jobs.
while ur ryt, corruption is a human attribute and occurs worldwide.

that's why nations develop based on systems, instead of people.

China executes and jails, hands get chopped in the north, Saudi flogs and Myanmar jails for life.
yet, people persist in crime and corruption.

that's why the so called new sheriff was a fallacy.
it was a shortcut that glamourised one man, forgetting every vulnerable institution that needed strengthening.

olapluto:
For idiots dragging Buhari into this, don't kill yourselves before your time. The army has a problem with dailytrust publishing it's planned offensive.
The media has to help the army in times like this. They didn't have to publish the army's strategies even if they got inside information.
Some soldiers actually die from sabotage acts like this.
wow.
so, dragging Buhari into this makes people idiots?
what sort of parents raised u, for u to think this way?
and uve been mentally twisted enough to support an army that's rubbished ur nation's laws and her courts?
I pity u.

legba1:
Its absurd how we treat issues now adays due to pure hatred for buhari...why on earth will a media house expose military strategy just to sell paper ..I bet most of you don't read dailies...Al you lotdo is sit and judge on nairaland

Do you lot know that simple info from daily trust will lead to d death of many of our service men if followed Tru...even wen you have inside source...you don't expose military tactics and strategy like they did in their headlines today .. and it's you guys that will still come here and scream "southerners are being sent to war front to die'

Enough of this stupidity I beg
assuming the newspaper is wrong, u support soldiers making such arrests?
are u so mentally downtrodden that u fail to see reason?
ur servant is slapping ur brother because he the servant feels offended on ur behalf.
and u support him?
the soldiers are being paid with the taxes of those they arrested!
imagine the hilarious horror that this country is.
PoliticsRe: Elections: Nigerians Will Judge Buhari By His Actions, Not Words – Atiku by debaj10: 11:57pm On Jan 01, 2019
Felixv:
you put up a chart without discussing the circumstances behind the increase in the price of the items -tell me where in the world prices stay the same. House prices increase over time -ooohh,we are all happy when the land we bought 2yrs ago appreciates and we make money.
and you truly believe prices should be increasing?
is that economics?
abi you conveniently forgot the reasons we were given by buhari for increasing prices of petrol, power, imports and devaluing the naira?
how many of those reasons have been delivered upon?

inflation is a worldwide phenomenon -but we also have a special circumstance, in the sense that this government, is trying hard to stop the importation of too many items. There is no doubt that imported goods from china are cheaper than locally manufactured goods.
when u ban 41 items from access to forex- without consulting manufacturers- you turn around and blame imports for inflation?
what sort of madness is that?

Rice is a case in point -we are now producing rice, the amount being produced still does not meet local demand but there is proof that importation has dropped dramatically , but illegal importation cannot really be stopped completely due to our porous borders and our corrupt custom officers who aid and abet the illegal importation.
a general fails to secure ur borders;
an anti corruption crusader fails to tackle corrupt officials.
but u will still vote for him?

And this goes for so many other food items -but what I am excited about ,are the number of projects completed by this government -which has never been achieved by any other government in the history of this country. There is no need to list those here because they are well documented on the internet - a simple search would produce an impressive list of accomplishments.
a simple search, u say?
meanwhile, what are the economic values of the completed projects?
if ur business needs raw materials but u buy new cars, will ur business survive?

The government initiative on power would produce a new set of entrepreneurs that would help transform this country -we need to produce more power so we can become highly industrialized

http://rea.gov.ng/energizing_economics_initiative/

when you read of people abandoning their generators you can only feel proud of a great achievement ,and therefore encourage such progress.
hang on.
when did this initiative start, and whats it achieved so far?
sha, hope it's beta dan tradermoni o?

https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1061278205976473600.html

There is a documentary coming up soon on TV and it would list a catalog of completed projects --this would be the final nail in pdp's coffin.

BusinessRe: It's Here: My Economic Predictions For 2019 by debaj10(op): 10:11pm On Dec 31, 2018
Here we go.

As at 28/12/2018, the NSE has lost 19.2% of it's value since January.
That's almost 1/5th of it's value, in one year.
This alone should terrify every single adult in Nigeria.
Recession, anyone?

The 2019 budget's benchmark is $60/barrel, at a production rate of 2.3 million BPD.
Crude is currently at $52.72 per barrel;
Crude production currently stands at 1.9 million BPD.
This means that before the year begins, our budget is already useless.
Again: Recession, anyone?

In 11 years (2030), the 6 countries will produce only electric or hybrid vehicles and machinery;
Japan, Portugal and the Indian city of New Delhi have ALREADY started phasing out combustion engines.
Therefore in the next 5 years, oil value will fall to $45-28 per barrel.
Oil will rapidly lose it's place as our primary source of forex.

This year, there have been 3 great strides in energy technologies:
1. Ultra capacitors
2. ‎Clean coal
3. ‎Lithium batteries.

This means in less than 6 years, batteries will be cheaper, last much longer and coal will increase it's market share in energy production.

Brief highlights:

Over 13 million children are out of school.

There's been a resurgence of polio and meningitis.

The green wall in the north has been neglected.

Petrol Subsidies are at N650 billion.

MAN currently in dire straits over lack of forex access.

Flooding damaged crops, mainly rice and other foodstuff.

NLC looming strike, as governors affirm their INABILITY to pay N30,000/month as minimum wage.

Us-China trade wars have
- dollar/yuan values.

2019 elections: Osun and Ekiti as precursors.

FG admits huge revenue shortfalls in 2018 budget.
- hence desperate clamour to sell off national assets.

Unemployment stands at 29.3% of the working population.

Complete breakdown of law and order in every state, resulting in:
- widespread corruption.
- ‎Armed groups roaming the countryside unchallenged.
- ‎Increase in kidnappings, cultism, ritual killings, suicides.
……
……

Bottom line:
1. Recession is coming.
2. ‎Famine is coming.
3. ‎Disease is coming.
4. ‎War is coming.
5. ‎ Refer to my other predictions-
https://www.nairaland.com/4767796/nigeria-death-nation

May God have mercy on our souls.
