What role were you considered for then? Do you have any information about the status of the recruitment process for that role? This will help you have an idea if your application is still active.

But September is quite a long time, I will advice you take the test again. All the best

That I'm not sure of. If your application for the first one is still active, I will advice you stick with that. But if the application, for any reason, has been unsuccessful, you can give the second one a shot since there's nothing to lose.

I know someone that wrote the test 1st time in January and failed. He was called again in February and he passed. He had his interview yesterday 15/06/2015. What can I say about that? It's a process that's ongoing. One just has to be hopeful for the best.

It's a case of "if you don't buy a ticket, you cannot win a raffle", you never can tell when it's your "time".

To the best of my knowledge, one is not supposed to write the test twice in the space of 12months. I called the PBB Resourcing some weeks ago about this same issue and I was told that I'm not supposed to honour the second invite that even if I do, I will be disqualified when they find out I'd written the test recently.

That's the most appropriate thing to do. I think coys in Naija has a way of sending negative signals to "would be staff". There is nothing wrong in telling prospective employees that the process is taking time for "soso and so" reasons but they will surely be contacted when necessary. No such mail has been sent to me and some other persons here. I understand some got the mail though. Ve tried to find who to ask questions but 2 no avail. Thanks 2 18wheller who has been helpful here. Stanbic hasn't been fair to us. Same with other establishments. They contact you wen they want to. Thank Goodness some of us r working. Otherwise we go dey wait for stanbic and our mates go marry, born finish we still dey wait for exco chat.

It is true HR teams in Nigeria need some serious upgrade in terms of communication. However, I would say I and some other people being considered for the WHO State / Field Officer role were contacted over a week ago to inform us the recruitment process is still ongoing, that we'll be contacted soon. We've all had the exco chat, so I believe it's the medical phase next.

From a reliable source, the delay is caused by some management decisions to be made and I don't think it is appropriate to communicate that with prospective employees. Nevertheless, there should be some update for candidates while they are waiting.

yes, I believe... I don't think invites have started rolling in for the Graduate Trainee, they are still trying to finish up with the other roles that were advertised before the Graduate Trainee

I applied to several roles so my guess is I was invited for one of them but after contacting them, I was told to ignore the invite since I'm being considered for another role already

There is a test scheduled for tomorrow, 9am at their Walter Carrigton office in VI. You should be there by 8am according to the email I got. You can keep trying that number for clarification cos I just got off the phone with them some minutes ago. If you don't get through, just attend with your credentials (originals + copies). Obviously, they can't have a test earlier than 8am so you can be rest assured you ain't late.

You should honour the invitation, they have a very good IT department that has openings now. I wrote the test, waiting for interview and hoping to join their IT department cos I'm an IT guy.

Just wondering why they opted to send a "reassurance" mail rather than just invite us for medical examination.

From a reliable source, the delay is from the "top". You know the role is newly created so they are still finalising how the role will fit into the bank structure.

Hearing that, I wasn't impressed because this should have been done before recruitment process.

We can still probe the recruiting team for answers though, let's hear what they have to say.

they accept sworn declaration of age but have a strict rule on degree statement of result. if you have a strong reason for not having your degree certificate, you can make a case.

Portal first.

I made my application through the 10mins access bank job portal. I logged into the site at about 9:40am and had to wait until 10am before I refreshed it. It opened up and asked me to key in my email address and phone number of which I did and then I submitted. Another page opened up and asked me an objective question with options, I clicked on one of the options which turned out to be correct and that was when i was referred to the Jobtrain Ltd site to complete my registration.

There are two ways to it, it's either the bypass will affect my application or not. So I'll just wait and see how it goes. Thanks for the info

They recruit for different organisation other than banks. They recently advertised different positions in different organisations, so my guess is you applied for one.

I applied for an IT Officer role and I was called to confirm my interest even before they sent me the invite.

So I'll say you should attend the interview if you need a job.

Yea, was scheduled for 3pm too but got there around 4:47pm.

I was initially billed for Thursday 30th, only to get another mail late Monday that the chat was rescheduled to hold a day earlier.(Wednesday 29th).

The reschedule caused a little issue with my itinerary for the week...hence my lateness.

Met only 2candidates on queue- a lady and 1 guy who told me some other people had been chatted earlier.

Thank God everything went well.
