Nahco released a board meeting notice for January 29th, 2026.

Till today, no audited result or corporate action asides the rumours. That's very unusual.

The industrial salt section of the company is minting good money for the company.

The company gifted trucks and cash worth billions of Naira to their customers just a few days ago. They are sitting on a lot of cash.

FY2025 was really good for them and 2026 is also looking like it's going to be better. The growth has been impressive.
Do you know if there industrial salt business supplies the oil and gas industry?

In retrospect, one of the best decision I made last year was liquidating my usd holdings in money market to invest in the NGX after seeing the market momentum. The plan was just to beat mutual funds or money market rate which was higher than most dollar mutual funds. That goal has been exceeded not because I am a guru at timing the market. While I didn't invest in most of the stocks that had given over 300% considering their liquidity and fundamentals, Stocks like Nahco, Presco, PZ, WAPCO, MTNN, Aradel have delivered at least 80% - to over 100% all under 6-8months while I sleep peacefully at night grin

Mission accomplished. Next mission is to know when to sell and not continue shifting the goal post. Stocks like Presco and Nahco makes it difficult considering they have refused to considerably retraced but rather maintained their upward trajectory. So far, been a good year and one of the best seasons for my portfolio generally in over 10years in this business.

Kudos to everyone that selflessly contribute to this thread and sharing great perspective. You guys are the best.

Your available cash can be withdrawn to your bank account from Bamboo. You fund your new broker's bank account via bank transfer. Existing shares you have with Bamboo can be transferred to your new broker as well(your new broker can advise on steps to take on this)

Not to downplay your expectations. The bulk of revenue from TIP came from their TDU in Kwale. There is a lot of oil drilling activities going on in Nigeria now and in Delta state so it is understandable how they are able to make over 5bln in revenue. However that revenue streak needs sustaining so the business is not only sustained by the Kwale TDU plant which can be affected by a lot of factors.

On the Uganda front, oil was discovered in 2006 not just recently however Total has a mega drilling campaign ongoing which targets over 200 wells. I am hoping their waste plant there is focused on waste during the production life of the wells and not just drilling waste. I am loaded here too.

Stockhunter:
TIP wont just seize to amaze.. they far exceeded expectations and my projections of about 2B plus for full year PAT, raising the bar to 3B plus. They are yet to deploy the funds from right issue and PO. That should start reflecting from around Q2. So Q2 2026 is another time to look out for to see execution.

The MD said in one interview with naira metrics that there is nothing stopping their share price from hitting 135 naira in 5 years time. I even think he is being modest cos it will do that before 5 years. When the RI and PO funds are applied to reduce third parties which he said will reduce their input cost by 40% and their Uganda site development. With uganda discovering oil and their site just being opposite the exploration site in Uganda. This stock go give us our retirement money. All things being equal.

I just de smile as i de read the result. Abeg make them continue like this o.

Nigerians will run you street. I would always ask to see a video of the last chamber before it goes to the septic tank before I will entertain any evacuation as I have paid for evacuation which was not done. they sent me a video of it too. It was full pass the pipe level in the first instance

There is no way an evacuation is the problem if this area is clear and if this is not clear, I will ask if this and a couple of or all the chambers be cleared first. the chamber was cleaned after the first evacuation 2 months ago. They have even opened all the chambers now and everything is clear but this was after the pit was evacuated again

I also started to do a chamber clear out every 2 years.

Now this is less of an issue after connecting the roof gutter to the waste water as the rain will wash the pipes/chambers What if the pit gets over flooded from he rain gutterand they know what I will do whenever I am told they think evacuation is necessary. Clean out the chambers first.

Oftentimes blockages are caused by baby wipes etc down the toilet or a poorly constructed chamber which does not flow properly. Think twice before you let a plumber construct a chamber for you as this is the work of the bricklayer.
whenever the soakway is open, it always full before that conclusion happens

diordaves:
From your post you may have done the same mistake 90% of homeowners do. You have built a TWO chambers septic tank. Not actually an effective SOAKAWAY pit. A Soakaway pit by effectiveness should have THREE Chambers (see attached photos).

The soakaway lasted for three years. That demonstrates that your water table level is ideal. So the soakaway filling up so quickly after evacuation has nothing to do with the water table but all to do with the TWO Chamber. This is the reason:

In a typical septic system, wastewater from the residents flow into the system where it undergo a separation process. Heavy solids settles at the bottom forming a SLUDGE. Lighter materials such as grease, oil float to the top creating a SCUM layer. The liquid between the SLUDGE and SCUM is the EFFLUENT which is relatively clear water. So, over time at the bottom of the septic system, the sludge will build up considerably preventing the soakaway from soaking away waste water.

What may have happened in your situation, when the soakaway was new, there was not a meaningful build up of sludge, so the system was soaking away water and this lasted for three years. But after three years the sludge has built up considerably and when you evacuated, you probably only evacuated the effluent and the scum leaving the sludge at the bottom and as a result the soakaway was quickly filled up again because the sludge is preventing the soakaway from soaking away waste water.

SOLUTION
Option 1: Evacuate again but this time get people to manually shovel and pack out the sludge. The tankers don't soak the sludge.

Option 2: If you've got the land, add a third chamber. How a Three Chamber system works is this: The toilet waste go into Chamber One. The bathroom and kitchen waste go into Chamber Two. There is a pipe link from Chamber One to Two that direct the Effluent ONLY into Chamber Two and a pipe link from Chamber Two into Chamber Three to direct the Effluent ONLY. So in Chamber Three is only the clear Effluent without the problematic sludge. Chamber Three will soakaway effectively for many many years.
Thanks for your elaborate input. I was told a certain chemical was put in the toilet waste pit to dissolve the sludge before pumping it out. That was the first evacuation after 3years. Now what has been noticed this month is that water is flowing back into pit 1 (toilet waste) from pit 2(kitchen waste ) instead of from pit 1 to 2 as in your picture. This wasn't reported before. I also spoke to the plumber who did the initial job(at the building stage) and he confirmed effluent is supposed to flow just like you described.

Is there a possibility of sludge building up in pit 2 (kitchen waste pit therefore hindering water seepage into the ground as intended? This is the only explanation I can provide as to why water can be flowing back into pit 1 from pit 2. Thank you.

(2) Does that area experience water flooding from heavy rainfall and water runoff? No water flooding from rainfall or runoff

(3) Are there any near by water source(rivers, dug out borrow pits, etc, etc)? None as well

About 2 months ago, I was informed the septic tank in my rental property was full, one of the tenants was unable to flush their toilet and we evacuated the septic pit (on opening the chambers, water level was elevated). This is the first time in 3years or so we are opening the pit since we started to rent it out.

For context, the septic pit was dug about 10 x 12 ft while the waste water collect about 6ft wide not sure about the depth now.

Last week, I was told the septic tank was full again but this time it was noticed that the waste water pit was empting itself into the septic pit. At the time the septic pit was last evacuated,no report of water from the waste water empting into the septic pit was given so I am surprised how this has become the case. After the septic pit was evacuated, the water from the waste water pit still continued to flow into the septic tank ( initial plumber linked both pits together).

I have asked all the tenants to check their flat if anyone left their water running to warrant the waste water pit becoming full all of a sudden in under 3months.

Plumber is suggesting the current water pit isn't absorbing again and should dig another waste water pit.

My question are the following

1. Are there remedies to improve the absorbing rate of the water pits.

2. How far away from the old pit and septic pit should a new water collection pit be dug.

3. Can concrete rings like those used in konga be used in the waste water pit in place of blocks considering the cost to deck the surface.

Any other advice on how to progress will be appreciated.

Thank you.
