KnightsTemplar: If u have installed the app on a system, insert the Windows installation disk which u want to install e.g XP into the cd Rom drive of the system you installed ultra ISO. Plug in ur modem with the memory card into the system with ultra ISO, and note the drive letter the system gave it e.g H: start ultra ISO, click on bootable, select write disk image, u will see the drive letter of you memory card highlighted, then click on write. Do be aware that it will format the card in the process. For windows Vista and 7 run U ISO as administrator. After the write process, remove the modem, change ur first boot to usb disk drive from the BIOS, and u can now start ur windows installation via usb.

how can i change my first boot to usb disk drive, that has been giving me problem.

This is a good riddance but im sorry to say that you don't need all these!
I thought you were trying to load windows on the flashdrive, but i see you are trying to re-install Windows but lack CD Drive!

Follow these 10 steps!
1. Find another computer,
2. Insert the flashdrive
3. Insert the disc
4. Open My computer
5. Right-Click on the disc
6. Select 'copy'
7. Open the flashdrive,
8. Right'Click, and Paste!!
9. Insert the flashdrive into the system you want to install Windows on..
10. Press F12 or any other key corresponding to selecting boot device, scroll to the flashdrive and press Enter!!

KnightsTemplar: No not like that. Install Ultra ISO to working system, u do not need to copy manually the Windows installation files to ur memory card. Ultra ISO will do it for u, in the process, it will make it bootable, so u need a working system for that.

well thanks...but i thnk i did what u asked me to...i just used a bootable cd/dvd-rom with it, it recognise d cdrom but d disk in it wasnt loading the OS on it...wel i tink my last option is to take it to computer village for reformatting

femi4: That's not what I ask u to do. Did I ask you to browse? Get an OS Dvd or using a functional PC, download a soft copy and burn the files to Dvd and do a fresh installation

ok i got you...i av tried it but d oda laptop isnt seein my own...i inserted my window disc into the other laptop but its not seeing my laptop...the prob is i want to boot from another device but my pc is booting from the first option which is from the hdd and i was told that i will have to change the boot order by puttin the one i want to boot from into the first position but i am unable to do that, do you know how.

KnightsTemplar: Sure you can. Ultra ISO can help you create a bootable flash drive. But instead of going through all the wahala, can't you borrow an optical drive, and still the issue with ur Hdd which u say is corrupt.

i av downloaded ultra iso inside my memory card so whats next....am i also to have the window software file on it.?

i cant even access d pc talkless of browsing,. A friend of mine did what you said with a cdrom and it works but when he restarted d pc it started the problem all again...pressin tab and f11 on startup give me a list where i can boot my device but clickin on any of them give out desame issue...i dnt even knw what to do now.

Am stil on my pc problem..d system refuse to boot the OS window xp after discovering a virus or bad software in the hardware...i av tried all i could. I dnt av a cdrom, but Can i use my modem with a memory card slot as a flash drive to boot up my system...if possible how. I saw the possibility after pressing tab and f12, it recognise the modem usb zte scsi cdrom 2.31 and the generic multi card usb slot as devices to boot from apart from the Hdd which seems corrupt and network boot agent...your response needed pls.

The laptop has a problem of restarting, after clicking on the power button it tries to on,shows a black screen containing some information and a list of booting options such as safe mode, safe mode with networking and safe mode with command prompt, start windows normally, last known good configuration, and when i click on any of this option, the window xp screen shows for a second and a blue screen for a second and restarts all over and brings up the black screen again. I tried pressing F8 for advanced options and the same thing occurs after pressing any of the advanced options. Clicking on "disable automatic restart on system failure" brings out a blue screen with an information that says "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer...................."

have you recently formatted your laptop/PC
or install any software drivers ?

what make is the laptop/PC , e.g. hp cq600

is it dual boot ? i.e. xp and windows 8

when it restart any blue screen with ox000c?

and system restore select a date when it works
and follow the instructions to complete

i have formatted it b4,but more than a year ago. Its zinox smart, a mini laptop with no cd-rom. I recently installed avast antivirus, thou the installation was about 80% done when d light was interrupted and it was working when i put it on again. I discoverd that it takes alot of my mb and i was trying to uninstall it. I then restarted the computer and pressed f8 in order to get me into the safe mode and till now, i am still at that point... It only uses window xp. It can take a long time, just be patient with it.

the system tries to boot the OS Windows xp but couldnt but rather restarts all over and when it wants to boot the OS it restarts again...i av clicked all the options i posted above its the same thing, it tries to boot and load the operating system,hang abit and restarts.. What can i do about it.
