DerideGull: You are very correct that Awo's legacies lived on today. They are called tribal bigotry and insanity of loud mouth.

PoliticsRe: Okenze Osuigwe Opens Up: Ndigbo Begged IBB To Annul June 12 by debetmx(m): 3:43pm On Dec 28, 2013
[quote
author=ndu_chucks]This thread does not do justice to Osuigwe's interview by focusing on
the its most devisive element.

Frankly, given the treachery and grand betrayal which Awolowo unleashed
on the Igbos, after they orchestrated Awolowo's release, escorted him
safely out of the area, a contrary reaction by the Igbo people would
have shown that they were not humans but heavenly beings.

To be quite honest with you, I can't blame the Igbos. Awolowo is also
known to be the brainchild of the starvation policy which significantly
contributed to the deaths of thousands of women and children during the
civil war.

With friends like Awo, who needs enemies?[/quote]ojukwu released Awolowo, who released Dr. Michael Okpara?

why do this old men from the land of the rising crime lie?

PoliticsRe: North Hates GEJ For Corruption, Why Do Southerners Support Him? by debetmx(m): 4:53pm On Dec 23, 2013
DerideGull: All forms of corruptions were manifested in Nigerian society about 1961 by the politicians from Northern region of Nigeria. Most Nigerian army officers and politicians of northern region’s origin were products of corruption.

It was unbearable spates of corruptible practices by the goons from northern region of Nigeria that ignited January 15, 1966 coup. Knowing fully well the plotters were serious about corruption, the countercoup was precipitated in order to entrench such despicable practice in the minds of all Nigerians.

However in order to hide their intentions so that gullible Nigerians shall be fooled, the main objective of January coup was turned into tribal manifestation by Gowon, Usman and Yusuf. I have always laughed my head off when goons of today make silly noises about corruption. The corruption as we all know it today came to Nigeria in 1961 and had produced agents such as Gowon, Maimalari, Murtala Mohammed, IBB, Abacha, Buhari, Nuhu Ribadu, Atiku Abubakar, Ibrahim Haruna, Abdulsalami Abubakar, Joe Garba, Usman Yar Adua, Theophilus Danjuma, etc.
What rubbish is this one saying. Your uncles were bloody murderous cowards.

PoliticsRe: I‘ll Not Contest 2015 Election – Jonathan by debetmx(m): 4:53pm On Dec 20, 2013
DerideGull: Bros please park well ooo!!! GEJ is not fighting Rotimi Amaecha. Rather Amaechi is fighting his political shadow after he impregnated the 50-year-old-looking daughter of Wole Soyinka.
@ deludedgull,

On your death bed you still peddle rumuors about what you know nothing about. I know you only wanted to insult Wole Soyinka, demented senile idiotic old fool. You really need help.
PoliticsRe: The Shameful Level Of Tribalism On Nairaland by debetmx(m): 4:50pm On Dec 19, 2013
itsrandeeboi: I am quite sure that i'm not the first person to write about this but I certainly would like to be the last. I read through the following thread with concern https://www.nairaland.com/1561102/34-year-old-enugu-ebonyi-bridge-collapses seeing how people who claim to be educated spout crass stupidity on a public forum. I mean, someone posted news of a collapsed bridge and all some people could think about is how to make it a tribal thing? Are some people high or just dumb? These are people who claim to have degrees, who claim to be good parents to their children but when they go online, they display such an amazing lack of intelligence that leaves one wondering.

Nigeria as an entire country is lacking development, so anybody wasting time arguing that their tribe is better than another is incredibly dense. It is amazing how Nairaland has degenrated from a forum that seriously considers the Nigerian discourse to a place where crassly illiterate minds and degenerates spew forth the empty filth they have inside them. The annoying thing is that some of them are not even resident in the country. Should a tribal war break out, they would be in the safety of other countries while people who weren't even participating in the rubbish online discussions get killed.

My worry is that it seems to have the tacit blessing of the mods and the admin seeing as that thread has gone four pages long and growing and it has still not occurred to somebody to either lock it, delete the tribalist comments or ban the offending posters. Is the admin now trading a chance at Nigeria being a peaceful nation for hits? This is quite frankly shocking and I cannot just believe how this is being allowed to happen. Everyday every Nigerian faces the same set of challenges of power supply, health care, falling education standards and so on and all some narrow minded bigots can do is come online and make fun of other tribes?

Sometimes I just feel like I hate this country as a whole, my own tribe inclusive.
LiteratureRe: CHRISTMAS SPECIAL -- Drop your Stories by debetmx(m): 4:23pm On Dec 19, 2013
Lovely thread. Go me all nostalgic. Remembered when I was in primary school, me and my sister will save just to buy tin powdered milk. We always had bangers and knockouts because my mum always bought for us.
