rati ken: Quit that mindset. In a multi-ethinc/ multi-religious entity like nigeria, there are conscious efforts to balance out issues for global appeal. With this make-up, there are lots of wahala upfrontThen you don't want to move forward if you want to balance every ethnic/religion orientation. |
realities.com:The most secular state in Nigeria, Lagos state past three or four Governors and administrators have been Muslims. I don't care if our next president is from Mars as long as my future is secured. |
martha: Sounds Like what a Yoruba Bush-girl will doOGUN punish u. |
BlackRevolution: Where do you think this nation is gonna go when we have folks like you that tries to ethnize issues at any slight opportunity. This is not to claim one ethnic group is superior than the other, let's your delusional tribal sentiments remain in your pocket, don't wash your dirty linen here. Learn how to engage in issues without being tribalistic!!!ignore the idiot, he trolls on every thread after smoking "IGBO". |
Wily+Wily:another IGBO smoking alakuko gone made. |
babepink: @debetex tanx iam in my mid twenties .I am even nursing a baby it has not been easySorry oh but then I was about 14 years and was told I had gone past the age to have chicken pox. Get well soon!!! |
babepink: has anyone ever experienced a bout of chickenpox ?.I am currently down with one and it is not funnyI had chicken pox when i was in JSS 3. It wasn't funny. I to be quarantined from others in the house. I slept in the sitting room, used different sets of cutlery and had to bath down stairs with agbo where everybody saw my kokoro. I could not do some practicals but still had 3rd best result in my school although there were many of us who had the same result. How old are you? |
geeez: After the bullet proof car scandal you mean she's a saint? The universal definition of corruption is different from that of our brothers from the land of the rising crime. an alakuko can never be corrupt, only non-alakukos are corrupt. According to chinua achebe and other writers from the east; Tafawa Balewa, Ladoke Akintola, Obafemi Awolowo and Ahmadu Bello were the problems of Nigeria but not Aguiyi Ironsi, Nnamdi Azikwe, Nwafor Orizu, Micheal Okpara and the cantankerous coward. Same way the universal definition of a hero is different from that of an alakuko. A man who runs away with his family members after wasting the lives of others dressed like a transevite is an alakuko's definition of a hero. |
Wily+Wily:another IGBO smoking junkie on the prowl who should be in assylum. |
DerideGull: Slowpoke,My dear deludedgull, How low can you go? Your deluded selfish igbotic thought process gets miserably worse each passing second of your wretched life. You expected the Yoruba people who were pro-Federal to evict Gowon in furtherance of the interest of the ibos. The same Gowon who released the Leader of the Yoruba nation, Chief Obafemi Awolowo who had written a series of letters to the ibo Head of State, Aguiyi Ironsi to no avail. Why did all your brothers run back to the east when the crises started? Why did they not stay and enlist the help of the Yoruba in evicting Gowon? Isn't inherently clear to the Yoruba people that the interest of the ibos is paramount to that of other ethnic nationalities in Nigeria. Do you remember the atrocities the biafran soldiers committed in occupying the Mid-West? When your brothers overthrew the legitimate Government of the day and made Aguiyi Ironsi, Head of State who made Lagos a comfortable home the Ndigbo had no problems with that. Lastly let me produce a part of Nzeogwu's last interview before he died. Ejindu: From the present chaos, what type of Nigeria do you envisage? Nzeogwu: In the first place, secession will be ill-advised, indeed impossible. Even if the East fights a war of secession and wins, it still cannot secede. Personally, I don’t like secession and if this country disintegrates, I shall pack up my things and go. In the present circumstances, confederation is the best answer as a temporary measure. In time, we shall have complete unity. Give this country a confederation and, believe me, in ten or fifteen years the young men will find it intolerable, and will get together to change it. And it is obvious we shall get a confederation or something near it. Nothing will stop that. Ejindu: Do you think there will be any war? Nzeogwu: No. Nobody wants to fight. The East which is best equipped and best prepared for war, does not want to attack anybody. The North cannot fight. And Lagos cannot fight now. If they had attacked the East in August or September, they would have had a walk-over. Today, I think they will be ill-advised to try. Ejindu: An Englishman said to me the other day that the best thing Ojukwu can do is to take over Lagos. Do you think he can do it even if he wanted to? Nzeogwu: Yes, I think the East is strong enough to do it if they want to. But it will serve no useful purpose. It can only serve to destroy life and property. You see, the effective power does not lie in Lagos but in Kaduna, and if you remove Gowon somebody else will take his place. If you capture the South against the North, all you can achieve is civil war, disintegration and border clashes. Ejindu: Finally, let me come to the controversy over your release. Much as it has been a popular action you have been released by the east government against the wish of the federal government. What do you say to that? Nzeogwu: All I can say is that I am happy and grateful to be out. We feel grateful to the Nsukka students for their persistent demand, and to the boys in the barracks for their pressure on the authorities in the east. And to the Nigerian public in general for their concern over our welfare. |
ckkris: The Civil War history of the United States is sold on the streets of Nigeria. Is it not necessary, that decision makers during the Nigerian Civil War, DECLASSIFY letters and other documents that can help people to STUDY those events? General Isama has written about field decisions. The speculations on who did what can be resolved if others respond to Isama's claims, that are mostly supported by General Akinrinade. If Ogbemudia has given any version, I haven't seen it. They will all be helpful.I know Ogbemudia has written a book about the civil war. Obasanjo also wrote a book about the war, "My command: An account of the Nigerian civil war, 1967-1970". I have not read any of the two books anyway. |
Reuben.Abati:If I don't listen to the radio in a day i might die. The first thing I do when I wake up on weekdays is turn on the radio on my phone. |
squaddy: And they would have wasted your entire day there or even worse...no try prove law with naija police oIf you are a corper and you no dey do yahoo, you shouldn't have giving them 5H. Anyway like they say all's well that ends well. |
ckkris: Obasanjo supported the NEUTRALITY of the Western Region, up to the first week of August 1967. True or false? Why is unwilling to speak about his roles during that period? Awolowo relied on Gov Adebayo, Obasanjo the Garrison Commander, and few others, for Military Advice. Let Obasanjo publish the letters in his possession. Things will become very clear to all. Isama has mentioned Obasanjo, why doesn't he respond?I still repeat Obasanjo never supported biafra. Also Adebayo never supported secession. I read it somewhere that when Awolowo came back from Enugu as head of the team who went to reconcile and conciliate with ojukwu, he approached senior Yoruba Officers about the possibility of Western Region seceding too and they asked him if he had the troops and weapons to do. Awolowo never raised the issue again. I guess it was Maj. Gen. Oluleye. Obasanjo wrote a letter to GE, he has not responded. |
Onyiclassic: Is DAT Yvonne nelson or tonto?na toto |
King Tom: My friend, I did not write this book to stir up ethnic sentiments. Vedd has already warned you to keep off.I only tried to put the records straight about Victor Banjo and if I overstepped my limits, I tender my unreserved apologies. It just sucks when a group of people refer derogatorily to some persons just because they come from a particular tribe irrespective of what they did for them. |
You bleep up. I would have giving them nothing |
ckkris: Obasanjo, an army engineer and Garrison Commander at Ibadan, like his colleague Victor Banjo, MAY have supported Biafra, at least initially, together with Gov Adebayo, and even Awolowo. That was the reason Banjo moved troops to Ore, and sent letter to Ibadan, by August 8. And Ogbemudia was with Banjo. But by August 12, Awo made a statement that he was supporting the Federal Govt, contradicting his previous pledge of NEUTRALITY. Civil War history will reveal many surprises.Obasanjo never supported biafra. For any reason Yoruba officers had been bypassed during the promotion promo by Aguiyi Ironsi for ibo and ibo speaking Officers. Victor Banjo had sent Wole Soyinka to Obasanjo to seek free passage to Lagos for a fee because there was no way the ill trained and equipped biafra forces could get to Lagos without being crushed but Obasanjo rejected the offer. It's totally condemnable that biafran propagandists, the cantankerous coward and even unborn ibos have accused Banjo of treachery. Victor Banjo at any point never supported secession which he showed in his speech to the Mid-West, words and deeds. Victor Banjo had stayed in the State House with ojukwu but moved out when the cantankerous coward declared secession. ojukwu probably chose Victor Banjo to lead the suicide expedition to Lagos so as to have him (Banjo) killed, which he finally succeeded by accusing of planning a coup. God bless Victor Banjo he took the bullet with his chest buffed out. That is an example of a man died for what he believed in. Governor Adebayo Adeyinka was pro- Federal and never supported secession and war. Awolowo initially sympathized with the biafrans until the treacherous bastard tried to occupy our land using a Yoruba Officer. |

deshclones: All these kids from the western land of cowards.....mtshew....deshclone, u really fall my hand. if your people leave Nigeria, the same people go leave biafra, if u understand what i mean. You listen to the lies your grand fathers fed you with. What Fela, Gani, Wole Soyinka & Co did, that useless man (emeka ojukwu)that led your people on a military expedition they could never win. Even Wole Soyinka suffered for your people than that useless cantankerous coward called emeka ojukwu who said biafra were going to fight till the last man and that when the last man dies the grass will stand up and fight. Later the bastard ran away dressed like transvetite to Abidjan |
