You are right! The awards are not meritorious by all standards. They should give awards to poor parents who were able to wallow thru abject poverty to train their children thru the university. A state owing months of salary arrears to civil servants and pensioners, a state that has refused to implement financially, promotions of 2017, 2018, and 2019, despite having letters to that effect. A state that for the first time in history, failed to implement statutory increments and advancements on salary last January....
Ekiti roads are about the worst in the country. Food prices are skyrocketing every hour... School fees are monthly increasing yet, there are no increments on wages....
Unemployment rates high in the state. I can go on and on
