Yes, you can use two persons as your sponsors. Let your dad be your main sponsor then your non-relative to be a co-sponsor. I hope your dad would be responsible for larger part of your expenses. You will require letter of sponsorship from both of them, and affidavits of support from the non-relative and proof of source of income from both of them. Your non-relative needs to explain why he is sponsoring you whether you have done something to merit it or what value are you to the person or what the person would achieve from your study abroad. With these you should be fine. Cheers! crusader6: 2 Likes 1 Share |

My suggestion to you is this: since you are planning to apply after your youth service next year which means you still have a year to prepare, do yourself a favour by reading from atleast Part 12 of this thread. In six months time, believe me you would have been well equipped and would have known well enough your chances of getting approval. Bro, just maximise the time you have on your side reading and acquiring kmowledge you need concerning this study visa application. Cheers! Kamalu5258: 1 Like |

A very big congrats to you. You are a victor! Did you link your paper application online? If yes then check if your medical has been updated to PASSED. If yes then wait for them for your passport dispatch message and correspondence letter soon. Layooye: |

The rate at which paper route applications are being refused in the past 3 months is alarming. It is more than 90% refusal from those VO in Kenya and almost the same generic reasons ticked for everyone. So don't feel bad about the outcome of your application but try to re-strategise and re-fire. You may order for your GCMS note for more information on the reasons for your refusal. Did you write SOP/LOE in your refused application? If you did or didn't, in this new application I will advice you write it to address the VO concerns and also present yourself as a geniune student that will return back to Nigeria after your study. Link your first degree with your intended program, talk about your work experience and why you need this program at this time in your career. What are your employment prospects back in Nigeria after your study in Canada. Why did you choose Canada and the school for your intended program and not undertake such program in Nigeria (your goals and expectations). Talk about your home ties and assets in Nigeria, your travel history (Include documents as evidence of whatever you claim to have or wherever you have traveled to). Also, you need to explain why your sponsor decides to sponsor you, what would he/she gain from paying such amount for your education? Your sponsor needs to write a convincing letter too explaining his/her decision to sponsor you, how many dependant does he/she has? his/her source of income and proof of financial capability. Affidavit of support is adviceable too if your sponsor is not your immediate family member. You need proof of relationship with your sponsor. -Insufficient funds: How many years is your program? As a self sponsor you need to show funds in your account that would be enough for your tuituon fee and living expenses for the entire duration of your program. I will advice you let your co-sponsor transfer into your account whatever amount he/she would be sponsoring you with. Also, if there is any lump sum of money in your account before printing your statement of account try to explain the source and reason for the funds in your LOE. If you can work on this the issue of insufficeint funds will disappear. -Travel History: A lot of people have gotten their visa without having traveled before and moreseo, I have not come across of anyone refused mainly because of travel history. So, this is not a serious issue. All you should do is to just mentioned it in your LOE that you have traveled to which ever countries you went to and add your schengen visa stamp page to your application. -Purpose of visit: As I said above, try to link your first degree to your work experience and to your intended program in Canada (dont assume the VO would know they are related). What are the reasons going for this program in Canada and not in Nigeria? What are your goals and expectations going for your program? Justify your true intention is to study alone and return back to Nigeria to add value to your country. -Employment prospect in country of residense: Having risen to the level of a manager, you need to emphasis on what opportunities await you in Nigeria after your program. What are your plans in Nigeria upon return? How do you intend to offset the huge sum spent on your education in Canada? How lucrative is your job? Just proof to the VO there are lots of Job prospects in your field in Nigeria. If your company do grant study leave and your program is not more than a year I will advice you request for one and add it in your next application. But most importantly convince the VO there are opportunities waiting for you in Nigeria after your study. -Personal assets and financial status: Your salary statement of account, pay slips, pension, landed properties and any other assets you have in your name would do. You can include anyone you jointly own with your wife too if there is any. Note: All I have written are just my own opinion and what I personally think you should work more on. I am not a guru and not even gotten my visa. I am a learner too and I am just trying to help sharing with you the little I have gained in this forum. Cheers! DeuxMille: 6 Likes 2 Shares |

I think you are right because someone that works in one of the banks head quarters once told me that CIC use to confirm from them the authenticity of statements submitted for visa applications by confirming certain transactions in the statements. Also, there was a time around last year when CIC used to request for updated statements from applicants during the process of treating the applicants applications and also requested for letters from the banks stating the fund inside the applicants' accounts would be allowed to be exported to Canada as at when needed (I think due to some CBN regulations then). I am not sure if it was in part 11 or 12 of this thread. All I am trying to say is there wouldn't have been reasons asking for updated statements if CIC could actually check balances on accounts. Please, this is just my own opinion on this matter. People should just do their best to be truthful and straight forward in their applications. God will help us and His will shall be done concerning all applications. Cheers! jandj: 5 Likes |

I just noticed processing time for study visa from Nigeria has been reduced to 9 weeks from 10 weeks. I believe some people will start hearing from CIC concerning their applications real soon. Good luck to all awaiting CIC response. 1 Like |

Sorry for your refusal. Don't feel defeated, pick it up from where you stopped and re-fire but not until you know the reason(s) for your refusal. I believe when you go for your passport you will get a note with it stating the generic reason(s) for your refusal. For you to know in details why you were denied, then you will have to request for your GCSM note which will allow you to be able to fully address your refusal reason(s) in your next application. You can order for your note through this link https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en ngunaniveren: |

More so, since he is your maternal uncle you have to submit his birth certificate, your mom's birth certificate, your mom's marriage certificate as well and if your uncle has international passport try to submit his data page. These documents are for proof of relationship between your uncle and mom. dubaiboy1: |
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by deboskie(m): 4:20pm On Jul 14, 2018 |
Your Uncle is in category of third party. Has he paid for your first year tuition fee and sent your living expenses into your account? or has he sent both your tuition fee and living expenses for your first year into your account? Doing this is a proof that you have direct access to your required first year expenses. If that has been done and he has written a convincing sponsorship letter in regard to why he is sponsoring you and explained how he intend paying for your subsequent years expenses in the letter. Also, if he has given you a good statement of account to show he would be able to sponsor your entire years of studies with other documents to proof his source of income and identity then I believe you would be fine without the affidavit of sponsorship. People with third party have gotten their approvals without affidavits of sponsorship but they were able to convince the VO with other documents submitted that their Uncle is capable and genuine sponsor. Best of luck. dubaiboy1: |

If your sponsor is not a third party and you have a sponsorship letter from him/her then affidavit of sponsorship is not necessary but if you are using third party as your sponsor then I will advise you get affidavit of sponsorship. Though, I think I have seen some approval on here without affidavit of sponsorship in documents submitted. IMO try to include it as it stands as a legal document from your sponsor pledging to financially support your education. dubaiboy1: |

Yes, it should be Okay. Since you are not sponsoring yourself and you have evidence of investments in your name then you are fine with you not having much in your personal account. It is good your company has made payment for your school fees and living expenses upfront and they are giving you company's statement of account. Make sure it is your salary account you are submitting and also make sure the company explain the reason(s) why they are spending that much to sponsor you out of all their staffs available for your program in Canada. Like, What is your position in the company? What value are you to the company? what would the company gain from you when you return? and so on. Financially you are okay if you present all these. All the best. Radiantblessing: |

If you don't want to wait till August when you will get your salary from your new employer, what I will advise you to do is this. Add your payslips from your previous employer till May, then add your new employment letter from your new employer which I believe would have your salary break down in it and your start date which should show the VO you just got a new job. You can as well add your new ID card as well. Also, if possible talk to your new employer to give you a letter stating their policy of not paying new staffs until after 2 months of being with them. You can as well make this explanation to VO in your SOP. I believe you would be fine if you can do all mentioned Ezriela: 1 Like |
