This year's wasn't as painful.
The 2009 stung, I'll admit that, but it wasn't actually the goal. It was the entire game.
I used to root for Barcelona in my Junior Secondary school days. Even while a Chelsea fan.
But, bro, the daylight robbery of that game changed me irrevocably.

My hatred for Chelsea and Mourinho started in 2005 when Andreas Frisk(one of the best referees) quitted the game because Chelsea supporters threatened his life after a match between Barcelona and Chelsea.

The hatred peaked in 2006 when Mourinho sand-filled the pitch @ Stamford Bridge just to dislodge our free flowing football. This was a match Chelsea were heavy favorite, yet their pitch was more sandy than grass. Despite this, Barcelona won the match there in Messi's 1st UCL away game.

2009 we had Messi, Eto'o and Henry(100 goals) . 2011 we had Messi, Villa and Pedro(97 goals). 2015 we had Messi Suarez and Neymar(121 goals). These are the UCL glory years.

Messi's output is constant, but to win the UCL, other strikers must perform. Last season Suarez scored just 1 goal in UCL. All our forward lines scored less than 70 goals overall. That's one major reason UCL has been eluding us in recent years.

This season, only Dembele is consistent in front of goals so far. When the tough teams come on board(eg Roma), and they cage Messi, we need players who can step up and deliver.

It's a pity that these Messi fans are so obsessed about Ronaldo that they don't know that Juventus don't need Ronaldo to win Serie A. They have quality everywhere in the field. Ronaldo was bought because they wanna win UCL, and hell, Juventus has a better chance than Barcelona.

Barcelona can't win La Liga without Messi because they can't work magic on their own without using the #PasstoMessiFC technique.
