You should learn to quieten your mind in contemplation and meditation, you should practice breathing exercises daily for at least half an hour in meditation, these will help you clear your mind and focus, and when you meditate you should visualize Divine white light coming into you and circulating to increase your energy. Once you have learned to meditate properly you will begin to receive spiritual lessons.

It seems to me that you have latent ability so you have to deepen them and make them stronger. I cannot stress it more, meditation is the gateway to all spiritual growth.
